Thank you for your advice.momasaurus.And these are also beautiful scarves. Is your Instruction the original one? So chic!
Thank you, cherryblossum. I don't know about the year of my Instruction. This CW was a grail that I finally hunted down just a few months ago. It did not have a care tag. luxury-scarves database does not know the year of original issue, but HSCI says 1993.

Maybe someone here knows more?

momasaurus - yours is original issue (1993). It was the only time it was done in jacquard.

I so know all about the magical part of an H scarf disappearing! I think most of the older designs suffer from this, H just didn't seem to think it was an issue that the boring old border and acres of white were all one saw when tied in the traditional way . At least they have now come to a realisation, and we have delicious borders, contrast hems , goodbye white interior, and more all-over designs .
So how to tie your scarf ?
I think you need to think of a more asymmetric fold to start : try with a slightly off diagonal fold to make a triangle , than fold inwards checking the bits you want are still visible on the right side ...if not rough up the fold a bit . The neater the fold the more they will disappear!
Also visit MaiTai blog and check out the asymmetric shoulder wrap, weave knot, and cowboy knot . if you're brave try the scarf as top under a jacket or make a little jacket of the scarf [ she will have a post for that too!}

Let us know your findings, best of luck!

You might try some rectangular folds to make a short cross, or even just a shawl collar effect. I do this all the time when I am lazy or don't have enough space to make a decent bias fold. You can adjust the rectangle to include pretty much whatever section has the colours you want to highlight. Also MaiTai has a necklace idea here: http://www.maitaispicturebook.com/2013/07/How-to-highlight-scarf-design.html
Hope you are inspired to show some green grass!

Thank you so much for your ideas frou frou and mosasaurus. Gave it a go, seems that wearing it as a top and a rectangular fold bring out the most of the green. So once again thanks for your advice.

IThe green details on this scarf are a perfect match with my bamboo CDC, however, they completely disappear when the scarf is folded on the bias. So I would really appreciate if more experienced scarf wearers could sugggest a tying method that would highlight the grass green parts of the scarf. Many thanks in advance.
Sorry I can't help suggest a better way to fold (I literally tie my scarf the same way every time) but I just want to say that I love the colors and as mentioned, I can see how smashing it would look with bamboo anything!

One interesting medieval scarf is A la gloire de Guilliaume (William the Conqueror), a sort of Bayeux Tapestry homage. But there is actually a Tapisserie de Bayeux listed that is quite mysterious. There's a scarf called Le Moyen Age (The Middle Ages), but the architecture looks more Tudor.

Chocs en Plumes has a bunch of knights on horseback, with striped backgrounds, which is more interesting than the solitary knight in Les Muserolles. There's a fabulous Mont Sanct Michel scarf that is really hard to find.

The Three Musketeers is not exactly medieval but has some cool artwork. La vie a cheval and Armeria are medieval themed, and Termes de Venerie shows a medieval stag hunt in really cool rosettes.

Rosamonde might know more about these.

Thank you for sharing these, momasaurus, I'm excited to go and research them. All I need is more hard-to-find past season silks - story of my life, but I love the hunt, makes the finding that much sweeter!

BritAbroad, I agree that the hunt is fun. I love having scarves on a wish list, and then I really love finding them! (That hasn't happened much lately, though.) There's a Gloire de Guillaume and some Chocs en Plumes on EvilBay right now...

What a feast, these designs are great, H never ceases to surprise me! Through searching for them I inadvertently found an incredible textile designer that I'm instantly besotted by. Her work reminds me of an H window by Leila Menchari...DH is shaking his head, a new obsession born

Henri d'Origny's Mors et Gourmettes Remix.

Love the soft cw of this, dooneybaby, it's lovely!

I love Abadie's designs, this is beautiful, Vassa.
