Wow! What a gorgeous and unusual CW!! I don't believe I've ever seen THAT one before, either. I love it and it looks amazing on you. Very sophisticated and understated palette.

TY! Perhaps you can ebay? I have a friend who once picked up an authentic H plisse for $50. They were never popular and I was surprised that H continued making them as long as they did.
Here it is, my friend. The green in it is more like a vert fonce or forest green. The brown is a blondewood colour.

Know what you mean seton - I had ONE plissee and it never looked very good on me, though I adored the turquoise and apricot - it always felt too starchy on me

Yes, I have been keeping my eye out on the Bay. I have one plisse that I bought in a boutique in 2012, not realizing it was one of the last of its kind. I adore it and would like more!
But the plisse format is funny--I think for best effect only certain designs lend themselves well to the pleating, and also on eBay so few sellers show photos of the scarf so you can judge the condition of the pleats.

my trips? I am leaving for an island vaca this wk. I will - of course - bring my trusty Grands Fonds GM with me. So far this summer, I've been to a wedding in chicago and a bar mitzvah in the NE; it was a toss-up as to which affair was more extravagant. I believe that Bar Mitz since the princess wore a real diamond tiara for the occasion. I was also invited to a wedding in Lyon, France (would have loved to combine w/ a visit to the H factory) next wk, but couldnt fit it into my schedule.
rosamonde - my Paladin is original issue. I dont think my cw is the prettiest but I tried them all on and I found it the most dynamic on me. I have been very happy with my choice as I wear it often (for me) and it remains my fave Abadie. By a mile.

Love the bright and cheery colors on the jacquard FloraFlanell! I think you could easily wear this is the summer too since the folds hide some of the wintry scenes. Just the right antidote for the hot summer!

Iconic and sort-of 80's. But hey, I used to love Dynasty!In this CW, there is some taupe-ish shading on some of the yellow that tones it down, but I have to admit that the yellow is still not great with my very pink-fair complexion.The crazy green color, however, my skin seems to like, so I keep the scarf anyway!
These "brassy" elements, though, seem very old-school traditional Hermes, don't they? Sort of iconic!

I think I know just what you mean...I often find other CWs of certain scarves to be objectively prettier than the ones that happen to suit me the best. Not that I don't think your CW of Paladin *isn't* pretty--it's just that I completely understand that some CWs seem to come to life on us, and others do nothing--or worse, drain the life out of us!
For instance, a couple of seasons ago I was terribly smitten with this colorway of Le Robinson Chic. Even though I still find it deeply satisfying to look at--the color scheme is almost thrillingly beautiful to me--I had to admit, after trying it on every which way in the H boutique, that it just didn't work on me. :cry: My heart was broken (not least because there wasn't another CW of this design that WOULD work on me), but better not to have made an expensive mistake, I suppose.
We now return you to our regularly scheduled program. Sorry for the digression--
