Besides my mors et gourmettes remix in ciel i've to add to this weeks topic a beautiful preloved jacquard scarf with winter theme by Julie Abadie which joined my small collection lately. A bit extravagant maybe to buy an seasonal scarf but I couldn't resist the colors, the jacquard and its great price :graucho:
Here it is: plumes et grelots

FloraFlanell, how fun with both bells AND jingle bells! I don't think I'd ever looked closely at this design before. Looking forward to seeing you wear this pretty scarf!

Hmm, what happened to multi-quotes? It's not working?
OK, I'll try to do this from memory:

lanit - a pleasure to see your Arc and your Gallop necklace is beyond. Drooling . . . .

frou - two great bright GMs and you wear it well

chestnutty - the clic clac with the eyelet is adorable

momasaurus - fantastic necklace looks. I hope to copy one of these someday. you are an inspiration

croisette - amazing montage of your fab collex as usual

sparkle - i love that Rocabar twilly! I haz in two cws.

Beautiful scarves, Seton. I especially love how you are wearing the Paladin! And I do wish they'd bring back the plisses...I know you can send 'em in to be made into plisses, but I mourn that they stopped offering them (and the jacquards) nevertheless...

Good morning Silkies,

Thank you Croisette for the magnificent opening!! To avoid redundancy, I am not going to post the list of pieces from our featured designers as Croisette has done this beautifully!!

So, to welcome the week of designs by Henri d’Origny and Julie Abadie, let me end with a Rocabar Twilly lovin' goat.

D'Origny's gorgeous design has never been released in a silk twill 90, so you gotta go jersey, twilly or enamel!

You could charge us by the minute showing pictures this sweet, or maybe there should be a license to be allowed to show such lovely creatures!!! I am an avid knitter, and last year at a farmers' market I came across a couple of skeins of handspun, natural beige coloured yarn, made from a mix of sheep's wool and goat. It was just enough to knit a cushion cover 40x40 cm. This is a mix I've never come across until then, and the long goat Harstad makes it unusual and fun, so since then goats have indeed got closed to my heart!

Thank you, seton, for the compliment, which means a lot coming from a fashion goddess like you!

But this Paladins! The colours! I've been coveting this design but have yet to find the perfect CW. Is this light olive and browns? Or is your pretty sweater tricking me? Do you have a pic or link to the unfolded scarf, if it's not too much trouble? SWOON....

Lanit, your Coaching worn as a top is so stylish!!! Topped off with that fabulous Galop necklace is the icing on a fabulous YOU!!!

Thank you dear LB! You enabled me on the Galop and I hope you are still enjoying yours!

Love the bright and cheery colors on the jacquard FloraFlanell! I think you could easily wear this is the summer too since the folds hide some of the wintry scenes. Just the right antidote for the hot summer!

Lanit, thank you for enabling me. :smile1: Just grabbed it from Canadian site. Lucky I do not go to bed till late.

OOH so happy and clapping for you- the Canadian site has so many goodies offered - congrats and please share your love when it arrives!

So sweet, lanit!

Thank you momasaurus! I get to pull this one on now and then when I am sentimental:)

cheval fleuri by d’ Origny(70cm vintage soie, reissued)

Such a pretty and unusual colorway cherryblossom! Love it on you.

Two D'Origny scarves I wore over the weekend:

Grande tenue (orig edition)
Éperon d'or

I was in a casual mood, so wrapped the GT in a chili pepper scarf.

and tied Eperon nautically

Although I have also used necklaces with Eperon (archival pic)

Great modeling shots dear - I like your creative twists and tying!

To match momasaurus, here is my d'Origny Eperon d'Or, in a different colorway than hers though:

I can't speak for the plisses, as I've never seen one IRL, but YES: bring back the jacquards!!! (Not going to happen, I'm pretty sure).

YAY - seton is back! :hugs: Thank you sweets - I remember the Paladin well - it set me off on a tizzy when I first saw it last year on you....but then my 90 ban kept me from bidding on the Bay for several agonizing months. The plissee - looks terrific - do they still make these anymore? I rarely see them in our drawers while visiting the boutique. Hope to hear about your trip!

Great CW, rosamonde! The bright colours make the gold seem less brassy (one element of mine I don't love). Also your gold does seem less yellowy than mine. Very nice, and a very cute tie!

In this CW, there is some taupe-ish shading on some of the yellow that tones it down, but I have to admit that the yellow is still not great with my very pink-fair complexion. :shucks: The crazy green color, however, my skin seems to like, so I keep the scarf anyway!

These "brassy" elements, though, seem very old-school traditional Hermes, don't they? Sort of iconic!

TY! Perhaps you can ebay? I have a friend who once picked up an authentic H plisse for $50. They were never popular and I was surprised that H continued making them as long as they did.

Thank you, seton, for the compliment, which means a lot coming from a fashion goddess like you!

Here it is, my friend. The green in it is more like a vert fonce or forest green. The brown is a blondewood colour.

Always a pleasure to see it in all cws, rosamonde. :smile1: Keep them coming!
