here are my 2 scarves for this week:
Mors et Gourmettes REmix
I love how different these are. In one, the background recedes, and you see the bits.
In the softer coors, the bits disappear and you see all the H's in the background.

I got the bright one first, then later the softer CW. DH didn't believe me at first when I said it was the same design!

I love the mors remix scarf1- we are twins on the Ciel version! I think you made two great choices with these and they are quite versatile and different from each other!

i have so few of Abadie's designs but here is a favorite cotton scarf that brings memories of archery outings with my father and sisters. The bow featured in this scarf looks just like his bow and the red tipped arrows! Arc en Ciel cotton 70 cm.
Oh lanit, what a beautiful cotton! I have never seen this one before, and the colours are great!

Hummm! Am really enjoying how the Mors et Gourmettes Remix looks like a completely different scarf in practically EVERY colorway! Beautiful Instructions du Roy as well.

Aw, who am I kidding...they're ALL gorgeous. :roflmfao:
Thank you! I agree Mors et Gourmettes looks complete different in every colourway and I think that's how I ended up with 3 - probably would have picked up more more if my walllet would have allowed it :)

Scarfies,
I have been busy recently due to relocation to a new city, i.e. from a mousseline climate to a cashmere silk climate. And here I have a mirror/lighting crisis and am unable to contribute mod pics :sweatdrop:.

Since this week's theme also include Julie Abadie, I'd like to showcase my two favorite scarves by her:
Ciels Byzantins (Byzantins Skies) in the only color that doesn't have gold hence suits me to a T . The colorway is so fresh and the details are pretty! I love the charm piece in the center the most!

As you can see: the jacquard on the scarf features peacock! And the matte white overlay in the details can't be missed as well

I also have a pic of a mosaic wall mural that resembles the design greatly:

And... some mod pic from the archive:

Love this - and its not one that is seen often - at least not a design I've seen that often

Love the mystery rotation idea, but I understand the anxiety. I also feel I neglect some of my scarves. But isn't this thread supposed to make us wear some of those pieces we've almost forgotten about? (except during a hot summer!) :graucho:

I totally agree about how great this thread is! I get so much inspiration here! I, too, am wishing for some cooler weather to wear more scarves! My air conditioner needs a break! :D

Thank you Ladybaga. I kept my regular scarves in three chests of drawers organized by colors, which is always tricky (where to store a Tohu-Bohu in any color way, lol!) for most of my designs. One of the chests is only for my most loved ones and another one only for Ledoux Grygkar and really vintage ones, that I rarely wear. In the mornings I decide which color to wear and open the drawer, that's all! I always choose what to wear depending on which scarf draws my attention.;)

I love your system of organizing! (I plan outfits around scarves, too. ;))

Hi Scarfies! Just popping in today that I saw a treasure today, but the 2k price tag was a little too steep for me. A tapisserie bayeaux from 1940s at a consignment shop called trouvaille http://www.trouvailleluckyfind.com/ . I am not affiliated and cannot vouch for the authenticity or age of the scarf, but figured if any of you were interested you could follow up.

We're twins of the light blue CW :) Like frou frou said it looks like a piece of Delft China, which is exactely the reason I choose it. It's my first boutique bought scarf and really me, as i'm into everything Delft China and blue white in general ;)
Enjoy wearing it and its bright cousin! Love that design!

Besides my mors et gourmettes remix in ciel i've to add to this weeks topic a beautiful preloved jacquard scarf with winter theme by Julie Abadie which joined my small collection lately. A bit extravagant maybe to buy an seasonal scarf but I couldn't resist the colors, the jacquard and its great price :graucho:
Here it is: plumes et grelots
