I usually wear the burgundy Vendanges with my Tenue de Venerie. Both are from the mid 1960s and feature 18th century wear.]

This vintage silk takes center stage, and looks marvelous on you seton!

View attachment 2629796View attachment 2629797Hi all,
finally a theme I can make an addition to :) I do not have that many scarfs, given the fact I try to track them down while thrifting. Only one I've bought at the boutique (last friday, yeah)
This one is my first and oldest silk scarf, which colors are growing slowly on me as i find them - well - a bit too pale. What do you think? Not sure how to match it, light colors too pale, dark colors too sharp contrast...
Anyway i love the butterflies ;)

Lovely butterflies, the pale background shows them off well. Perhaps pairing with a medium toned blue, mint green or yellow top? And a nice white shirt would be great too,

Have you tried to wear it with a blue shirt matching the butterflies? Actually, it would probably be a great match with blue jeans and cream or light brown shirt.
There is probably something new to do, if you try to highlight the green part.

If you feel adventurous, you could try to dye it (see the "Hermès DIY" thread). This is something I want to try myself ;)

Anyway, it's a beauty :)

I agree with the others to match it with the blue. I am posting a similiar cw from the catalog for u.

It appears to be an alcohol process~are those juniper berries? The old patterns tell a story and this one is SO cool. Like a history lesson.

It's prob white grapes (for cognac). I believe the design was specially made for Hennessy since Hennessy was founded in 1765 and it features 18th century time period. The sp edition was pre-issued in 1965 for their 200th anniversary before the regular issue in 1966.

... and since we all enjoy modeling/action pics...

This is buttery deliciousness, Pegase! The Quadrige is especially wonderful on you.

I hadn't realized that I had a scarf by Caty Latham, but I have "Sulfures et Presse-papier II"!
It was a very thoughtful gift: sulfures are used for Murano glass, the factory is in Venice, where I spent part of my honeymoon, and purple is my favorite color.
The knot is probably "too much", but it shows my favorite part of the scarf.

Oh, no, i don't dare to do that! :) but will have a look at the thread

@all: Thank you so much for your input and suggestions - I'll definitely start to wear it, maybe it doesn't wash me out that much as i thought

C. Latham is not one of my favorite scarf illustrators but still I've got some of the classics:

This is quite a collection!
I'm rather fond of Neige d'Antan, and Les Clés is growing on me. I wonder if there is a list, somewhere, of all the keys on that scarf?

Hahahaha birkinmary, I can see we're twins on this Frontaux et Cocardes, probably not the best known. But as I told, this is the first I bought in 1968 with my own money. To me a special one, even if I don't wear it anymore. But I love having it with me in box! ;) Come on, be my twin on my DDs, my dear, you won't regret it, I swear! :D

Ah, birkinmary, I forever loved this Ferronnerie! Looks like it is a 3D design! I have les Clés, and Neige d'Antan is for me a great souvenir!
