Hi Sweet Silkies!

I've been super busy and won't relax till the weekend is over, but this week's theme is too good to miss. Verrry curious to see everyone's Top 5!

I took two pics today and will just drop them off here without identifying... maybe more fun for everyone?

I wear a scarf or a GM every day, so my faves change quite often (also when I acquire a new design)! Here are my Top 5 GMs and Top 5 Silks of the past month:

Markova, I laughed when I say your set of 5 GMs. We are twins on EVERY one. That is just sort of freaky. In the the second picture we diverge.....that would have been TOO much if that was a total match as well.

Dearest Scarfies!
I just came back from a little trip, thats why I was not able to post and comment all week long... I just read last weeks theme, and I decided to make a small adjustment ... (its makes it easy to share with you, specially since (like all of you, I am sure) I was thinking on sharing with you every time a picture was taken... hihi... so with a little delay, here are the 4(1) scarves I wore last week on my small trip to Norway!

Pegase, nice shots of you on your trip! Is the one of your top five HS a vintage Bete de concours? It's the horse's eye that intrigues me. Do you wear it with the eye exposed?

When that HS was in my boutique, the SA told me that most people would shiver when they saw the eye. To me, it was a Cleopatra eye which is maybe more properly known as the eye of Horus. I owned a Bete de Concours and rather liked the eye showing even tho it was not easy to tie the scarf so it showed.

OK, I've exhausted my stock of HS eyeball info so will stop there. There's another HS that has a horse's eye which has been reissued several times but I am blanking on the name.

How pretty you look in your orange silk! Love your Fab 5 too!

Dooney - you CdF was one of the very best colorways of the season! How wonderful you have the CdG Couvetures edition as well. Hope to see you modeling these for us soon!

Silkies! I have been so tied up with work. It has been my busiest season to date but no complaints as the money tree needs to be sorely replenished! Choosing 5 favorites is a bit like 'Sophie's Choice' to me, too many favorites and it all depends upon the occasion. So I am choosing Five Favorites of the Summer (or maybe the month)? And away we go! White Brazil GM for the chilly evenings of summer and AC, new to me Pavements w/ Turquoise border, CMSC jersey - this is the coolest silk other than mousselines, Beloved India as silk purse, and one more coming....

Oh dear lovely lanit, your Pavement took my breath away. Want!!

I didnt time it deliberately but the above was my 5000th post. Glad it was in this thread. :tpfrox:

How fun Ms. Yoda!! Congratulations and I adore your double scarf look. Perfection.

finally a theme I can make an addition to :) I do not have that many scarfs, given the fact I try to track them down while thrifting. Only one I've bought at the boutique (last friday, yeah)
This one is my first and oldest silk scarf, which colors are growing slowly on me as i find them - well - a bit too pale. What do you think? Not sure how to match it, light colors too pale, dark colors too sharp contrast...
Anyway i love the butterflies ;)

I think this would look divine on charcoal or slate or navy blue. What a beauty!!

... and since we all enjoy modeling/action pics...

Oh dang, I almost spit out my diet Pepsi! Your camel horse dipper is Divine my dear German Friend. Wow!

Thanks for the comments on my "guest scarf mistress" week; just to clarify, our most esteemed scarf mistress sparklelisab asked some pages back for other people to guest edit occasionally so I picked Caty. I assume other weeks are still available (it is a big job for one person to do every week). Check post #1 for the themes (we can thank Chestnutty for that as well as for this whole thread!).

I've been a bit overwhelmed with guests but have enjoyed looking at all the beautiful posts.

Pegase, you always look so handsome! I assume the cream/tan is Quadrige? Wonderful.

Seton, thanks for the two Vendanges; I have the Hennessy version. It was nice to see the other. Really interesting the two scarves together!

Anfang, I learned more about Memoire: "Mémoire d'Hermès (first issue with the removed Jacques Prévert's drawing)". I knew about the copyright problem, and have 3 with the note and one with a ghosted picture; which is the first edition? I have to get the two out and look at them together.

FloraFlanell, thanks for the Farandole; I don't have it so it was nice to see it.

Myke518, unusual color array with the 5 scarves! It has been fascinating to see everyone's choices!

lanit, loved the still life with the shells!

uh oh, here come the guests! bye....

two more... just two.. promise!... :D

Wishing everyone a a wonderful week!!!!

Chiming in to applaud your fabulous photos Pegase! I your yellow silks make me weak at the knees, especially the DD Quadridge and Brazil. Would not be able to pull off the Quadridge colors, but oh the Brazil makes my heart thump! :hbeat:
