Tiphaine, Seton, Anfang, Birkinmary, Momasaurus, Sparklelisab, Lanit... Thank you so much for your lovely words! lilke I always say, You make wearing scarves twice, trice, 5 times the fun!

OMG
These photos are so wonderful
Love your Dip DYE GM (we are cousins, I have the copper CW) and your Aloha is awesome. The Brazil in the yellow is a burst of sunshine~we are cousins again, as I have the light blue
Have to say you have great taste (hehe!!)
We love your pictures~~
:D I always knew you had great taste...
The copper CW of Quadrige was the first one that cought my eye and I really was wating to see it,(get it!) but it never came here!

Pegase, nice shots of you on your trip! Is the one of your top five HS a vintage Bete de concours? It's the horse's eye that intrigues me. Do you wear it with the eye exposed?

When that HS was in my boutique, the SA told me that most people would shiver when they saw the eye. To me, it was a Cleopatra eye which is maybe more properly known as the eye of Horus. I owned a Bete de Concours and rather liked the eye showing even tho it was not easy to tie the scarf so it showed.

OK, I've exhausted my stock of HS eyeball info so will stop there. There's another HS that has a horse's eye which has been reissued several times but I am blanking on the name.
Dear Eagle, the design in the picture is "Quadrige" as a 140 DD. With this size I dont pay attention to where the eye is going to end up... I can imagine it gets a bit more "meaningfull" with a 90 silk as it will be more present. But I would not try to hide it!
I was tempted by "Bete de Concours" but the eye was sort of the only interresting thing to me since when tying/draing you would see almost only lines... funny enough, as Pointu, I keep thinking its a fish!... to me it evokes a fish cought in a fishing net!...
I do really like your interpretation of the Cleopatra eye!.. it makes it deff. more mystic....

Oh, Pegase, I am in awe. You pick the best scarves. The turquoise contrast hem on Quadrige is great, and is Aloha a dip dye, too? It is a delightful, yummy color!
Dear Maedi, Thank you so much! aloha is a DD too, yes.

Pegase, you always look so handsome! I assume the cream/tan is Quadrige? Wonderful.
Dear Jahna, The Quadrige is acatually "green" (absinth/lychee...)
the smaller 90 DD, Aloha is more cream/tan...

Dear scarfies - I have few C. Latham silks - two are the holiday silk Neige d'Antan and just this one Sulfures mousseline. It was my first 140 mousseline pre-loved silk that I landed from Jan Goode. I do enjoy the colors so much and the older mousselines have much more volume than the latest versions. Very sturdy and more contrasting colors that pop.

Interesting about the older mousselines being more sturdy. That will be something to look for when I venture into 140 moussies someday!

Love your Sulphures with the striped shirt. Very smart and casual-chic!

This Is stunning on you. The blue color is so rich. Wish more moussies would be this colorful.

Thank you all for sharing your Cathy Latham scarves , I'm fascinated by the diversity of her designs and can't pin her down to a distinct style ,as with say Annie Faivre or Christine Henry .
Sulfures et P/Ps seems a million miles from Ferronerie and Les Cles .And then there's Neige d'Antan ...the title alone brings a tear to the eye , and the design makes me swoon :faint:

Don't own a single Caty design so no posts this time.

Hello Silkies,

This is my first Hermes scarf (Seton's favorite ever :p) and my only Latham scarf and the first time I have worn one this way---inspired by the new posting from RheaNJ!!

I am with you on this observation my dear froufrou. The one that makes me cry, believe it or not, is Feux de Route. I feel like all the lanterns are huge and out of proportion to symbolize the many people who have lost their way and need homes and peace. So emotional for me.

Now I shall never look upon those lanterns in quite the same way , beacons for lost and homeless souls ...yes.

You are modelling a gorgeous yellow scarf there, and it was your first ! Do share the story of your first orange box !

Totally agree, my dear lanit! More contrasting colors... Compared to the oldest, the newest look monochromatic or a little bit faded. Which is ok for me, as I look the totally subdued, muted colors! But I must admit, a good dark one as your Sulfures is, a heartbeat!

sparklelisab, this Doigts de Fée in this colour is really outstanding! You're very lucky being so far away, I'll have grabbed it from around your neck! :p

ah, Feux de Route, my dear! I have the same feeling with my so much beloved Feux de Route Aperçus la Nuit en Mer. Just same!

This is so sweet and charming! You have a wonderful collection of vintage silks.

... and since we all enjoy modeling/action pics...

Most handsome pics! These colors are superb on you. I hope you had a wonderful time in Norway.

What a very special scarf! I love how you are wearing it too. A great idea:graucho:!

Frou Frou, I agree with you: it is hard to assign one "design aesthetic" to Latham! So, everyone, in Caty's honor, try to identify the scarves (I'll update with results). I've started with Farandole and know a few more, but not all! In the interest of fun I'll leave it to all the scarfies here to play the game (we have already seen some of these on the thread). So... starting with Farandole....
