MYH, your scarves and tying ways are all stunning! I hope you get your scarf groove back soon. I have always loved your pictures and scarf choices.

WValencia, what a beauty!

Pierina, as seton said, we will miss you. Have a good trip north.

Seton, I would love to see your "La Rosee" flat if you have a pic.

Pierina, have a safe trip! Since you are coming North, bring your rainboots...

MYH, you have the Faceties! I was wondering how it looked IRL; thanks!

WValencia, I wasn't really looking at Le voyage de Pytheas; I am now-great mod shots!

Dooneybaby, lovely scarf; I should know what it is but I don't...

I’m quite busy these days. I manage to read, but not comment! I did see some lovely scarves though :)
Here is Fêtes vénitiennes. I had to change the way I fold the basic bias to hide the cute couple dressed in dark green, and that resulted in a nice light pink-beige scarf.
I’m also the proud owner of new second-hand earrings. I had the exact same pair, but lost one, and never found another pair I liked so much. Now I have 3 earrings, so I can afford to lose one :graucho:

...

okay.
when i bought it, I already had the same cw in CSGM (which I am also showing below). It's an ecru/pinky beige cw. However, in the mous, the border is more pinkish than in CSGM. So I kept the mous and gave the CSGM for adoption.

Let's Celebrate the number 5 and Silk!

Why are we celebrating our FIVE most worn scarves?

--Because the number 5 is significant in many parts of the world:

--It is considered the “human” number, often represented by a man or woman whose head and outstretched limbs form a five pointed star.

--It is the number symbol for Totality in Chinese and Japanese Culture.

--Number 5 is a protective number in Islam and a symbol of strength in Judaism. In Christian iconography, 5 refers to the number of Christ’s wounds.

But most important:: It is the number of scarves a Silkie buys before s/he realizes s/he is HOOKED like a big ole Marlin!!

Let's see your FIVE most worn Scarves my friends!!!

Sparkle - good joke!

I like that couple on the scarf for a bit of contrast. I like ur earrings. You are indeed a star!

A pastel contribution for today.

this is breathtaking. one of your prettiest looks yet.

And a few more.:smile1:
Maedi, browsing back, all are GORG! Thank you for sharing, my dear!

Good morning everyone! I'm new here and wanted to share Le voyage the Pytheas

Already posted this, but this one is so beautiful that I can do it again! This is superb!

It's really too hot to be wearing many scarves here in FL but I'll be heading north for the summer very soon. Of course one has to turn the A/C down to get a few pictures of new acquisitions, no matter the heat. For the files, of course. :p

La Rosee in mousseline GM, and Coup de Fouet in silk GM.
pierina,as always, you put out stunners!!! Have a nice and safe trip! All of us are waiting for you! :flowers:

Oh how everyone glows in their pastels!

I find it helps if I'm a little bit tan and pair a pastel with white or gray/greige.

Escales mediterranees, Quintessence, and Cavalcadour maxi-twilly.
All are beautiful, but my heart goes to Quintessence without any doubt! A stunner !! Bravo!

BondGirl - such a beautiful palette of pastels - and thank you too for your kind pm. I am on a 90 silk ban as such as a few other H things got the better of me. My little vintage grail will need to wait a while. Twins with you on Calvacador. And now you remind me to bring out the Q silk too.

Pierina- CdF is such a beauty on you. Especially accompanied by the marvelous clutches. Channeling you this past weekend with my little Karo gem. And thank you - I am enjoying my new DD immensely as it softens the complexion and is the perfect weight. It feels lighter than the original issue of BdG many moons ago.

Maedi - what a fabulous parade of silks! I am dying for another AcdlV, but holding out the hope to be a twin to yours once the ban has been lifted! Yep, I think it was your Concours DD that sealed the deal for me. Thanks for being my inspiration!

The heat has been unbearable this week, but I did get to wear this mousseline for last weekend with my new to me Karo GM in pink. Reminds me of those sweet and tasty little macaroons that I am dying for a taste of. Litterature is such a great design in chiffon.

From the archives, Quintessence and Quadridge mousseline....dreamy for the summer.

P.
Salut Pegase! Thank you for sharing this! Splendid pastel colors, indeed! I tried to shot some pics this week but didn't succeed... Pastels are definitely not for me, be it for wearing or for snapping them!

Silkies - I am so behind on posts. I have missed you all terribly and am making an effort to come back into the fold. This little community really lifts my spirits and all your gorgy pics are something I look forward to at the end of the day.

Can we rewind the clock as I try to catch up? Some pics are archives and some I took recently but never posted. I really hope they don't post sideways. I sense my iPad is not going to cooperate.

Oldest scarf I own. Well, since I have only been a scarfie since 2012, it's the Philly issue of CSMC.

Pastel scarves. I was surprised I actually had a few in this category! I think of myself as more of a bold colored gal.

And of course, my one and only ex Libris is my kimonos. Since you have all seen pics of it already, I will spare you the repetition.

I'm thinking of posting a family shot of all my scarves next week when I have some time. My collex has changed a bit. Sadly, nothing new as of recent. I just haven't had the time to go down to the BH store.
MYH! Bravo and thank you for your catch-up! This is brilliant, my dear! Can't wait to have a look on your collex!

Hi! As you said you haven't seen many mod pics of Le voyage de Pytheas, I offer you a few. I hope you'll like them!
This one is a true beauty, WValencia, as already told! Thank you for these mod shots!

A pastel contribution for today.

A perfect Fêtes Vénitiennes, Melora! And congrats about your earrings! 3 of them is perfect! I never wear a pair or earrings, always two different, and I love the fact I may loose one too!

Good morning Silkies!!

I have a riddle for you?

Why is Six afraid of Seven? Because 7 8 9! :lolots::lolots::lolots:
Errrr, sparkle my dear, I'm afraid I lost something in translation... :shame:

okay.
