MYH, I totally agree with you about scarves and living in LA. I spend a fair amount of time there and it seems like from day to day the temperatures and the wind changes everything about picking out the right scarf! Sometimes, a GM works in the evening but most of the time I reach for a 90. There is no way to plan an outfit days ahead!

Vigee - I'm glad I'm not the only one with SCARF + LA problem! I never realized how windy it is here. I may just have to become addicted to some other H items. Due to your influence, I am considering some wallpaper though! Did you and your daughter ever decide on a H pattern for her place?

darlin, this looks magnificent against ur black top :smile1:

In response to SparkleLisaB's request for guest "scarf mistresses", Sparkle, I will do 05/25/14 - Caty Latham if you like. I need to photograph those scarves anyway. Let me know.

Scarf Mistress does take time; check out the list of scarf weeks in the first post (Chestnutty put it together) and guest-edit a week for Sparkle!

Yay! I did some housekeeping a wk or so ago and did Caty's scarfgraphy to help Sparkle out. you can find it here if u need it:

Oh how everyone glows in their pastels!

I find it helps if I'm a little bit tan and pair a pastel with white or gray/greige.

Escales mediterranees, Quintessence, and Cavalcadour maxi-twilly.

You look lovely and twins on the Escales!

BondGirl - such a beautiful palette of pastels - and thank you too for your kind pm. I am on a 90 silk ban as such as a few other H things got the better of me. My little vintage grail will need to wait a while. Twins with you on Calvacador. And now you remind me to bring out the Q silk too.

The heat has been unbearable this week, but I did get to wear this mousseline for last weekend with my new to me Karo GM in pink. Reminds me of those sweet and tasty little macaroons that I am dying for a taste of. Litterature is such a great design in chiffon.

Oh lanit! You know how I adore that Litterature on you and what a great match with your pretty fushcia karo.

It's really too hot to be wearing many scarves here in FL but I'll be heading north for the summer very soon. Of course one has to turn the A/C down to get a few pictures of new acquisitions, no matter the heat. For the files, of course. :p

La Rosee in mousseline GM, and Coup de Fouet in silk GM.

These are divine, pierina. This wk is made for you. I think Rosee and mous are perfection together. Here is a pic of one of mine that I found on my puter.

Pierina, La Rosée is dreamy especially in these dewy colors. I adore roses and love this design which seems a little sentimental to me. Your white Tee is great, too!
CdF is sparkling and stunning and so versatile.
And your first scarf, Coaching is classy and a wonderful color. What a great scarf for a first one!

Pierina, you look fantastic; talk about the epitome of chic Floridian! These colors just make me smile and are so uplifting. Beautiful pieces-all of them:smile1:!

Your scarves are beautiful, pierina. And great match with your purses! (wallets? evening bags? what’s the right word?)

I was wondering where you were Pierina! I knew we could count on you for some gorgeous pastels...

Love both of these! And they look gorgeous on you!

Ohhhh how lovely! These look so beautiful, thank you so much for more inspiration and eye candy!!

Thank you so much, ladies, you are all very kind!! I'll be out of touch again for a while as it's time for the annual trek north for the summer, with a stop to visit friends along the way. See you all in two weeks. :smile1:

Very lovely scarves, Bond7Girl, both individually and as a group. Dreamy colors....

Pierina- CdF is such a beauty on you. Especially accompanied by the marvelous clutches. Channeling you this past weekend with my little Karo gem. And thank you - I am enjoying my new DD immensely as it softens the complexion and is the perfect weight. It feels lighter than the original issue of BdG many moons ago.

Maedi - what a fabulous parade of silks! I am dying for another AcdlV, but holding out the hope to be a twin to yours once the ban has been lifted! Yep, I think it was your Concours DD that sealed the deal for me. Thanks for being my inspiration!

Another stunning shot of the stunning Litterature, lanit! And thank you for your kind comments. Love the perky little Karo too!

Such a fun, happy scarf, Maedi, and it's perfect with the Lift pendant. It nust make you smile when you wear them, it's making me grin right now. :D

Dear Silikes!
a quick contribution to this weeks theme... this is as pastel as I can get...
(bad pic, terrible lighting, im on the run! sorry)

Echeq au Roi
90 silk in Vert de gris/blanc/poudre and
140 CS in blanc/arguile clair/rose poudre

Wonderful to see the two of them together, very handsome, Pegase.

This is a beautiful Rosee, seton, thanks so much for posting it. It's so nice to come back to the older patterns, like finding old friends. Thank you. :flowers:

Lanit - your moussies are giving me heart palpitations. I swooned when I saw your pics! I always try to channel you when I wear my one moussie, but it never looks quite right on me. I end up looking more "old lady" then "young, fresh, and chic". I'm still trying to figure it out and will keep studying your pics as a guide.

MYH , have missed your posts, thanks so much for your sweet words. I agree with chestnut that you will still find your silks useful, especially in evenings and high AC interiors. SoCAL has similar weather to the FLA climate, sunny and people do wear a lot of light, white and brighter colors. You'll find the mousselines and summer silks a better weight!:graucho:

Dear lanit! Soo wonderful again!! I just love the Quadridge mousse in exactly this cw!!! It is really stunning on you!!!

Thanks Sammy, it wasn't love at first sight, but soon grew on me once I started reaching for it so often. It looks great with navy too.

I'm chiming in shamelessly regarding the bolded part, like a girlfriend would :ghi5:. I think it has to do with the colorways, not the knots. Lanit mostly wear white/pink/orange/sepia, hence looks more cheerful, feminine, and youthful. I'm sure you once you venture more into fresher and lighter shades, you will definitely look great in them. And I'm sure living in LA will change your wardrobes very soon :D.

Back to lurking.

Chestnut, you are spot on when it comes to color . Your opinion is always helpful. I do tend to gravitate to clear colors. They just 'feel' better on me :)

Pegase, your Métier photos we're so much fun. It looks like you had a great time too. Thanks for posting them and I saw some familiar faces from the two demonstrations that I attended on different occasions. Wonderful Echecs and I think they are both terrific pastels.

Oh lanit! You know how I adore that Litterature on you and what a great match with your pretty fushcia karo.

Thank you seton, and ITA with Pierina, this Rosee is one of the prettiest I've seen other than Pierinas Aqua one. You must love this Colorway!

Another stunning shot of the stunning Litterature, lanit! And thank you for your kind comments. Love the perky little Karo too!

Thank you dear, and your Rosee is to,die.for! Do you still have that beautiful aqua one?

Beautiful, Lanit, I've enjoyed your pictures very much, congrats on your new karo :woohoo:

Thank you, lanit. Thrilled to be Concours dd twin with you and BBC. I wore mine today even though it was quite warm. The colors go with everything.
You look fantastic with Alphabet mousse and Karo. Love the other two pictures, too.

Thanks Bkm and Maedi! Maedi, your birdies are so charming and full of cheeky personality. I thought the SS silks were quite irresistible.

Silkies - I am so behind on posts. I have missed you all terribly and am making an effort to come back into the fold. This little community really lifts my spirits and all your gorgy pics are something I look forward to at the end of the day.

Can we rewind the clock as I try to catch up? Some pics are archives and some I took recently but never posted. I really hope they don't post sideways. I sense my iPad is not going to cooperate.

Oldest scarf I own. Well, since I have only been a scarfie since 2012, it's the Philly issue of CSMC.

Pastel scarves. I was surprised I actually had a few in this category! I think of myself as more of a bold colored gal.

And of course, my one and only ex Libris is my kimonos. Since you have all seen pics of it already, I will spare you the repetition.

I'm thinking of posting a family shot of all my scarves next week when I have some time. My collex has changed a bit. Sadly, nothing new as of recent. I just haven't had the time to go down to the BH store.

Although I won't live in LA, I guess I will have the same issue! Although when I was there in December, mornings were pretty cold!!
Have you tried to wear a scarf as a necklace tied to a top? It seems quite nice when MaiTai does it, but I'm not sure it's practical.

MYH, yes, we love the H Optique Chaine D’Ancre Wallpaper in the neutral pattern. It's gorgeous!

Have a lovely and safe trip, P! You will be missed!

Darlin, we missed YOU! Tell us what is going on in transition? Have you found ur regular SA yet? What is happenin w/ ur collex?
How lucky u are to have the Philly CSMC; it's gorg. And the colors in the Faceties are striking.

Hi! As you said you haven't seen many mod pics of Le voyage de Pytheas, I offer you a few. I hope you'll like them!

These are fabulous! TY so much!

MYH, we are totally twins on the Philly CSMC! Love this design in this CW and have worn it to death. It is one of of my go to 90s. Thanks for all of your pics, loved them! :hugs:
