Anfang,
I love that our scarves overlap!

I dove deep-deep-deeply into my scarf drawers and was amazed at what turned up. I found so much that corresponds with this week's theme. I hope I will have time to take more pics!
I clearly see what you mean, my dear, I'm now surrounded by orange boxes... Found so far 7 variations of BdG... But for today, I stick to Ex-Libris! Here is another one : étole mousseline Confetti d'Ex-Libris :

Ok, more:
En Désordre, incorporating--or rather chopping up--Brides de Gala
70cm vintage silk and twillys

And finally, Brides de Gala. Now, pardon my irreverence, but I have never been moved by this design. All I can see is an old fashioned Scuba Diver. I cannot get past this. But, maybe, since there is a new re-release of Brides de Gala this season, I might just buy my first “Grygkar” scarf. Naa….. But I know those who are much more savvy than I will show us their love of the Scuba Scarf!

I chuckled outloud at the scuba diver comment-- I thought I was the only one who thought that... :)

OMG, hilarious!

Scarf babes - I went back n forth on whether to participate since ExLib and BdG are 2 of my least faves. (I dont like Cles either.) Here is my very logo-ish look, H-style.

I know you share my love for Ledoux' designs, Maedi, I can wait to the Ledoux week in October to see yours.

::::raises hand:::::
Me too! I haz more Ledoux than any other artists. More than Grykar even. :p

Yay! Great starter once more, sparklelisab! Love this Jeu des Omnibus et des Dames Blanches! And as for Brides de Gala, I swore, when very young, I'll never ever would buy one, I found this one so ladylike, and to say it short, boring... As you will see this week, getting older, this design grew on me! But only in its multiple variations, and never in the original plain issue.

To start my tPF week's job, "à tout seigneur tout honneur", honour where honour is due, here is my 90 (for once...) Imprimeur Fou Ex-Libris/C&T cotton/silk mastic/amarante/bleu de prusse, one of my most beloved and my avatar. And 140 DD Ex-Libris vert mousse :

A pleasure to see your great avatar. You rocks these Impreimeurs and DDs!:smile1:

Marvelous Anfang, Anfang!

I'm starting with two pointus, Carré en Carré with its incongruous slice of Brides de Gala and Calèche Elastique, stretching the central motif from Ex Libris beyond comfort:

Modeling pics from The Archive:

Two treasures. I wish they had not discontinued these pointus.

I just wanted to thank all the lovely scarfies who post frequently in this thread. :hugs:

I follow the thread daily and love seeing all the beautiful pictures you share. I always intend to participate more but never seem to pull it together.

Agree with you sbelle!

lisa, your sense of humor is beyond funny! There was always something about this design that bothered me, you called it perfectly.

Thank you my dear, I'm in love with the DDs, but the Imprimeurs Fous drive me totally crazy, I. Just. Cannot. Resist. Them...

Still very stylish--and very en désordre when tied!

I mean, once they are around your neck, the pattern becomes secondary...

Love black and white!

LOL - what fun silk conversations we are having this today! I'll start with my EL silks - my favorite shawl of all time is Ex Libris Kimono.
