Ladybaga, I have been following your gorgeousness on the SS 2014 scarves thread and am seriously considering a peach lift pendant. Danger!

Birkinmary, LeDoux is my favorite designer, too and I greatly enjoyed your pictures. We're "related" on Attelage, Reprise and Jumping.

Lanit, beautiful and very useful bag and that stunning KO!

I know you share my love for Ledoux' designs, Maedi, I can wait to the Ledoux week in October to see yours.

Congratulations on your new Massai Cut, it's beautiful and "very you", I love the way you've paired it with Oliver's King Ranch, unfortunately I missed it which makes me sad as I've got most of Oliver's designs, I hope I'll find it some day. Enjoy those beauties, they look great on you.

As promised, here you are the b&w Phaeton:

This phaeton is gorgeous. It's funny how similar it is to the cosmos!

Silkies - my eyes are in motion from all the recent eye candy. I have so many pages to scroll back and see everyone's beautiful silks. What a terrific week it has been.

Wanting to debut a new to me H piece that arrived this afternoon. Massai Cut PM for an H angel in Texas, Kermit Oliver's King Ranch silk with all the animals in motion :cloud9::heart:
Love your Massaï, lanit! A great bag! Mine is black and not cut, and this is my workhorse these last days! You'll adore this one!

And for seton, Ms MC with little Arbor Day Pochette.
A beauty! Etoupe is perfection!

Anfang, You are so glamorous. I want to be you when i grow up. :smile1:
You make me blush, Ladybaga :blushing:, thank you so much, you're a sweetheart! And errr, to be me, you just have to be much older!

Wow, I didn't think a black/grey mousseline could be so beautiful!
Thank you my dear Melora! i must admit I developed these past years an addiction to H greys/blacks, they work wonderfullly with anything!

Catching up on jewel week, I present to you my Vie du fleuve. I like to wear it with my Guess watch and one of my favorite rings :)
Beautiful Vie du Fleuve, Melora, and great match with your watch and rings!

My Easter outfit was on chromatic week. I found a set of rings at H&M (4,95€!), and used them on La Vie du fleuve.
Maybe I'll go back to the store and buy the same set in gold and silver ;)
That's a clever way to wear it !!!

Do you think it would be cheating to use the same scarf again for motion week? ;) people are actually walking and sailing on the river.

Or I could just pick my all time favorite: Point d'orgue. Playing the organ with hands and feet is not always easy ;) and did you know that before electricity, people had to work on bellows? This was the only way to send air in the pipes and allow the organist to play.
Congrats on this Point d'Orgue, a stunning design, I too love it!

I just wanted to thank all the lovely scarfies who post frequently in this thread. :hugs:

I follow the thread daily and love seeing all the beautiful pictures you share. I always intend to participate more but never seem to pull it together.

Ex Libris/Brides de Gala variations

This week’s feature is designer: Hugo Grygkar

Why should every Silky know his name even if s/he does not own one of his designs? Because Hermes’ first year of scarf production is the year that Grygkar designed Jeu des Omnibus et Dames Blanches. It has been released in 1937, ’87 and 2004. I adore the women all sitting like hens on eggs, cluck cluck clucking away, discussing how to hide recent H purchases in closet, bags and sexy pantyhose. Up until this famous year of 1937, Hermes sold silks with geometric or abstract motifs but not until the House decided to produce silks in-house, did the famous Omnibus become Hermes’ first design!

Later in 1946, Ex Libris was designed and dang, it has been released a zillion times as has Brides de Gala—Perhaps Grygkar’s most famous, beloved design. This season, for those of you who LOVE this classic design--Ta Da!! Another One is Issued!! EX LIBRIS!!!

And finally, Brides de Gala. Now, pardon my irreverence, but I have never been moved by this design. All I can see is an old fashioned Scuba Diver. I cannot get past this. But, maybe, since there is a new re-release of Brides de Gala this season, I might just buy my first “Grygkar” scarf. Naa….. But I know those who are much more savvy than I will show us their love of the Scuba Scarf!

Sparkle, you kill me with your totally fabulous quips. I especially love the JdO being compared to the clucking silkies discussing their secret hoards of silk purchases and cravings LOL, just like us. Actually I can't wait to see the new EL silk. Been holding out for that one since a few have cropped up on Spring thread. More clucking!!!

Bkm, the b/ w Phaeton, so totally classic dear. I believe I will have one of these some day. Wish H would reassure this and Turandot. Sigh.

Melora, such great details on the Fleuve and want a great find at H + M!

Thanks, Maedi, LadyB, Markova, eagle, Bkm,Anfang, textile, S'mom, seton, MUSTLOVEDOGS:sunnies:ty:

Great intro to the new Theme Week, sparklelisaB,
Love your sense of humor!

I'm scurrying to my scarf drawers...

Yay! Great starter once more, sparklelisab! Love this Jeu des Omnibus et des Dames Blanches! And as for Brides de Gala, I swore, when very young, I'll never ever would buy one, I found this one so ladylike, and to say it short, boring... As you will see this week, getting older, this design grew on me! But only in its multiple variations, and never in the original plain issue.

To start my tPF week's job, "à tout seigneur tout honneur", honour where honour is due, here is my 90 (for once...) Imprimeur Fou Ex-Libris/C&T cotton/silk mastic/amarante/bleu de prusse, one of my most beloved and my avatar. And 140 DD Ex-Libris vert mousse :

Marvelous Anfang, Anfang!

I'm starting with two pointus, Carré en Carré with its incongruous slice of Brides de Gala and Calèche Elastique, stretching the central motif from Ex Libris beyond comfort:

Thank you my dear markova!
Both of yours are stunning! I didn't even think ot these, I probably have forgotten my brain somewhere... We're cousins on both, I have CenC in CSGM, and I have the same (more than divine) color of Calèche Elastique in 90!

Anfang,
I love that our scarves overlap!

I dove deep-deep-deeply into my scarf drawers and was amazed at what turned up. I found so much that corresponds with this week's theme. I hope I will have time to take more pics!
