Thank you @Karenska for such a fun week. I was not able to participate ( our whole family got the flu 🤒) but coming here was a very welcome distraction! You have such a lovely collection! I hope you will find that Jungle Love triangle!

Oh such beautiful happy and bright colours. Lovely @Redbirdhermes !

Exquisite!!

A gorgeous array of beautiful reds for your lovely introduction @AnnaE! Thank you for taking the helm this week. I don't have a many red scarves in my collection -- in fact two have already been posted so my options are even more diminished! I will look for red surprises and red-adjacent pieces this week. In fact here is a scarf that crosses over from last week's theme-- Sieste au Paradis has one of the great borders of Scarfdom and here is a beautiful 90 cw in reds, pinks, blues and greys... Inspired by @Croisette7, @CedarWaxWing and @Nomad's recent posts of red/burgundy cws of Bateaux and Robe du Soir, too! :flowers:

Both of these are beautiful @Coco2606 -- I especially love your marble RdS and we don't often see the pink Index Palmarum so thank you for the eye candy treat! And I love your category of an Oscarf linked to real life! Wonderful photos...

I have seen this in real life @PoliticalGal and therefore I know it to be fabulous (in every sense of the word!). I love how you popped it on bright red!

Thank you very much @Maedi-- I am happy to have this one and our pink one, too!

Well, I surely will send any alerts @Helena7 but I acquired each of my designs that you mention after a long wait from wish list and I cannot say they were anywhere near retail prices (though maybe not a kidney!). I agree on the purple Moscou. It was the second cw after the neutral on my wish list but when it was offered, I pounced. And I have no regrets as I now love it more!!!

Seconding the Scarflandia consensus that you win the Oscarf for Most Stylish Couple @GloWW0rM. Me, personally, I am an "armchair ice skater" but my NY born and raised kids love it. ⛸️ I love skiing, though for the more forgiving surface of snow! ⛷️

O beautiful @Helena7! Congratulations. I bought a different cw of this in store when it first came out, then got cold feet about the format and returned. Was delighted to find it later on TRR for quite a bit less!

Ever since I saw your photo of this it has been added to my Wish List even though I already have multiples. This cw is so very beautiful and perfect for you @Nomad-- it enhances your coloring beautifully!

Thank you @orchard-- so nice to see you here and sending wishes for comfort and happiness to you and DH in 2025.

Well your ROI is going to be off the charts with these investments @FA73! Twins on Au Coeur (I too love it on red) and sisters on the 140 Sieste. Your Oscarf Winner mod shot is breathtakingly beautiful.

Sorry to hear about your appliance woes and may you find good replacements at a friendly cost so you can resume your scarf acquisitions, which we all love to see @HermesEchidna! We are double twins on the Bbourgs -- my two must have cws of a must have that season! Mine won an Oscarf for 2023, so it is nice to see the design still going strong! Sisters on Ivresse and on Les Ailes de la Soie, which is an underrated Honore design, if you ask me. A gorgeous graphic.

Stunning @orchard and huge congratulations. It is such a wonderful thing when a long dreamed of design "manifests" as they say. The combination of colors on this is so wonderful I can see why it stayed front of mind...

I love this post and the hilarious cat visual at the bottom! As someone who hunted madly for the "chicken wire" (ie Trellis) jacquard, I totally get the "uh-ohs" in this retelling. Thank you for two great weeks of hosting @xincinsin! Great fun and so informative, as always. (Also, cannot stop laughing at "My ghast was flabbered.")

They are fabulous @Cookiefiend. I think I slid down this slope a little bit ahead of you but I completely resonate with everything. Your new 2024 shawls are treasures and your Oscarf Winner is a true beauty-- Congratulations on a great awards season (and a lovely souvenir!). Now we just have to get to Palermo for a Shawl-on-Site Photo! #2025Goals

Thank you! I love that description @Karenska and I am so glad you have enjoyed them!

Two very beautiful finds @Jereni-- that jewel-like En Liberté! is marvelous...
Dear LKBNOLA
Yes, please. Let me know if you see them and I might just go for it!!
Happy to be sisters on Flowers of South Africa. I love how you tied it.
Dear @Helene7, I am so happy that your family member is doing better. Sending you my hope and best wishes for his or her continuing progress and healing :hugs:. I have two close family members who are dealing with very serious illnesses and I fully empathize with the stress and worry you have been experiencing. Please take care of yourself and congratulations on your new scarves. Retail therapy does have its place in our stressful lives! Can’t wait to see what scarves you treated yourself to, Acte III Twin.

Thank you for your kind compliment.
Thank you so much, dear Karenska. 🥰I even dreamed last night that I was in the hospital w them talking to 3-4 doctors / surgeons. 😳. It’s been difficult but it will be getting easier now.
Yes. I’ll share. It feels healing when I happily disappear in fantasy silk lands, daydreaming.

Happy Monday, Scarfies. I am traveling a few days again. Today I am delighted to share my Mythiques Phoenix Coloriage CSGM. It is incredibly special to have this. Some years ago, I sent it to my dearest friend who was going through the crucible of cancer treatment. Now she is in remission and the Phoenix has returned-- a symbol of rebirth and optimism for the New Year...

How kind of you, dear LKBNOLA. I’m so happy about your friend recovering.
You look stunning 🙌😍

I don’t have too much red and gold together as I seem to go for red and silver or other cooler tones instead. Here are some of my reds. Archive photos today since my youngest is ill so we’re having a quiet day at home. Have a lovely day!

Barbette, first, the lavender bandana and sweater look gorgeous. Such a beautiful color that is one I typically don’t wear so I admire it heartily. Please, what is the design?
Second, this goes out to @LKBNOLA , too and others who approach plisses with a bit of trepidation. I have several plisses. They wear like IRON and are tough! And while it is true that they can relax after time, I find that they spring back like little slinkies with no trouble, especially if they are folded neatly and placed in their round boxes after use and if needed, a bit of airing. The ones I have purchased over several years that had tight pleats still have them. Only two have pretty relaxed pleats but they were received that way and were great deals. I only have one now. Even a relaxed plisse can look good and can be a bit more malleable.
A very relaxed Legende de la Kuna Peuple.

All of these are tight pleats:

So sorry @Karenska, I forgot to mention the lavender bandana is Animaux Bandana by Shinsuke Kawahara. With a rabbit, parrot, monkey with baby, and sloth I couldn't pass it up!

Hello, scarf friends!

As we step into the Lunar New Year, let’s take a moment to appreciate its beautiful diversity across cultures. We often talk of the Chinese Nee Year, but numerous other countries celebrate the Lunar New Year with their unique customs and symbolism—places like Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, Nepal, and beyond.

Today, let’s celebrate the global spirit of this festive season together with the scarves that celebrate these countries!

Japan: Nikko, Esprit Ainou, L’Artisans, Gina (Hermes has done lots of Japanese-themed scares, this is a tiny selection; I would love to see all yours!)

Singapore: Wild Singapore

Thaiand: Masan and Masan, SiamIMG_7920.jpeg

Myanmar: Marche Flottant du lac InleIMG_7915.jpeg

Nepal: La Femme aux Semelles de Vent

I invite you to share your scarves that either feature the culture of those incredible countries or resonate with the spirit. Think bold patterns, intricate designs, and motifs that reflect their rich heritage.

As always, this is just a suggestion, and any SOTD is welcome.

I have nothing *but* brights 😆View attachment 6123074
Very cool! Lovely colorway.
Fantaisie d'Etriers twilly today with a pink chain.

I've fallen off the scarf wagon again I'm afraid, but tomorrow I plan to wear my latest 90 so I'll be back then!

I always love your necklace and twilly combos.
That’s a really pretty twilly. Love the colors which remind me a little of this, Promenade du Matin, my very first twilly, purchased end of 2016 or early 2017. Still pretty after all these years.

What a fun little twilly!
Greetings Scarflandia, it’s been awhile! Winter arrived in Texas so I’ve been enjoying breaking out the cashmeres. Delighted to be on theme with Aaaaargh!

Probably the best colorway of this design.

Thank you for hosting a wonderful week, dear Karenska. I’ve been absent due to some medical issues w close family member but it looks like it’s going to be ok. Whew!
I didn’t even have time or energy to catch up here or take pics of my Space Derby or Sur Mon Nuage scarves w fun hems but I went mad trying to distract myself and got 4 new scarves in last two weeks. 3 of these just arrived and they made me happy.
Beautiful Acte III on you🥰
Twins.
Thank you!
I hope things continue to improve for your close family member. Take care.
