Dear @Helena7, you must be very much relieved for your family member and I can't wait to see your "distraction scarves". 🧡Thank you for hosting a wonderful week, dear Karenska. I’ve been absent due to some medical issues w close family member but it looks like it’s going to be ok. Whew!
I didn’t even have time or energy to catch up here or take pics of my Space Derby or Sur Mon Nuage scarves w fun hems but I went mad trying to distract myself and got 4 new scarves in last two weeks. 3 of these just arrived and they made me happy.
Beautiful Acte III on you🥰
Twins.
Thank you!
Thank you, LKBNOLA, you are right and I am happy and proud to be part of this community, such a special place, free of criticism but full of understandig, support and kindness.🤗Thank you @AnnaE, @Maedi, @CedarWaxWing, @Croisette7 and @glowworm for your comments! I am delighted to be twins with several of you and I adore this cw-- it was a long hunt for me to find in good condition, but very much worth the wait!
Beautiful and so dramatic @EtsyBoss!
Fantastic examples and a very lovely inspirational message @AnnaE. The ver illion Tulipomanis is fabulous with your coat!
Gorgeous @Croisette7 -- I have a special fondness for the Houtin designs (especially paired with your beautiful skirt!) and Kelly en Perles but they are all stunning...
Wow @GloWW0rM -- what a beautiful array of reds and brights!
Well even if we don't always seize the day, we can come here to TPF and carpe scarfem for some inspiration-- like your sunny scarf @darkstar66!
So lovely, dear Lkb. SaP must be one of the top grails and we have seen many this week. Love those red rusts and blues.A gorgeous array of beautiful reds for your lovely introduction @AnnaE! Thank you for taking the helm this week. I don't have a many red scarves in my collection -- in fact two have already been posted so my options are even more diminished! I will look for red surprises and red-adjacent pieces this week. In fact here is a scarf that crosses over from last week's theme-- Sieste au Paradis has one of the great borders of Scarfdom and here is a beautiful 90 cw in reds, pinks, blues and greys... Inspired by @Croisette7, @CedarWaxWing and @Nomad's recent posts of red/burgundy cws of Bateaux and Robe du Soir, too!

A stunning cw of reds, majentas and pinks. I just love this. Safe travels and enjoy!Happy Monday, Scarfies. I am traveling a few days again. Today I am delighted to share my Mythiques Phoenix Coloriage CSGM. It is incredibly special to have this. Some years ago, I sent it to my dearest friend who was going through the crucible of cancer treatment. Now she is in remission and the Phoenix has returned-- a symbol of rebirth and optimism for the New Year...

Well, I have a lot of pleasant catching up to do in just a day! A big thank you🧡 to @Karenska for a lovely week. Borders and hems are two of my favorite features of scarf designs so I always love to be surprised by what I don't know or haven't focused on as well as to revisit the tried and true, and the iconic ones we all love. I was going to end with striped hems but decided instead to show hems and borders on some Giant Triangles. I was inspired by @Karenska's posts of Jungle Love and Fleurs et Papillons de Tissus as well as her lovely Tulipomanie. This is a format people either love or don't but it is undeniable that the GT hem and border game is on point! (Full disclosure: I am a fan of the format and even have a new SS25 to debut soon 😃 )

Moving from last week’s celebration of beautiful edges to this week’s vibrant Lunar New Year theme, I’m honoring both with L’Ivresse de l’Infini. Its rich red tones, intricate design, busy border, and contrasting hem are a fun way to bring both themes together. Huge thanks to Karenska for hosting last week’s theme and to Anna for this week’s celebration!

Thank you, @redheaddem. I would love to do a tutorial but I don’t think I can do it with photos as you need to see someone braiding it for it to make sense (in my case, I had to watch the video multiple times!).
I got the tutorial off YouTube so if you type ‘how to braid a scarf’, you’ll be directed to the video. Let me know how you get on!

We are twins , @Jacq1, with this one and I am absolutely over the moon with it. Beautiful! I wore it for the first time two weeks ago.

OMG. If this were an entry in the "Who Wore it Better" I nominate Lino, hands down. Sorry @Jacq1-- you have some competition...
Thank you! Yes his floof is a lot to manage but thankfully he doesn’t shed..You both look great! Puppy is da floofy-ist!!!
Thank you! As showcased by my many twins, this design can do no wrongJacquard- I love this tulipomanie with your sweater. Stunning!
You look lovely and Lino very sweet in his darling twilly.
Hororay for Lino - looking very fetching in that twilly, with those marvellous curls!🧡

Yes, it is a beautiful act of love and kindness and I neglected to mention that @Jacq1 and @LKBNOLA ❤️🐦🔥.It suits you perfectly twin!
Hahaha, there is no compétition, thankfully. There is nothing i can offer competing with those Sweet Puppy eyes.
Thank you! Yes his floof is a lot to manage but thankfully he doesn’t shed..
Thank you! As showcased by my many twins, this design can do no wrong
Thank you both, he is quite a model!
What a beautiful gesture, lending your phoenix in a time of need and then getting it back when your friend has recovered. Best wishes for your friend to stay in remission for a long long time ..
Thank you so much @Karenska! You have given me a bit of courage to wear these beautiful scarves! What a lovely collection. I so admire your ties, as I do with @LKBNOLA as well. Thank you for the storage tips, I very much wondered about that. I think I need more of these - my collecting never ends.Barbette, first, the lavender bandana and sweater look gorgeous. Such a beautiful color that is one I typically don’t wear so I admire it heartily. Please, what is the design?
Second, this goes out to @LKBNOLA , too and others who approach plisses with a bit of trepidation. I have several plisses. They wear like IRON and are tough! And while it is true that they can relax after time, I find that they spring back like little slinkies with no trouble, especially if they are folded neatly and placed in their round boxes after use and if needed, a bit of airing. The ones I have purchased over several years that had tight pleats still have them. Only two have pretty relaxed pleats but they were received that way and were great deals. I only have one now. Even a relaxed plisse can look good and can be a bit more malleable.
A very relaxed Legende de la Kuna Peuple.

Dear Croisette, I know that I don’t respond to your and many others’ excellent style and mod shots as much as I would like, but I must say your collection is simply stunning, including your red CSGMs. That Licorne and earlier, the Grand Manege a Jouets.
Thank you so much, Karenska, I appreciate your sweet compliments! The LJdM with your lovely skirt is perfection, @Croisette7!
All beautiful, GloWWorM ... twins on Sieste.I don’t have too much red and gold together as I seem to go for red and silver or other cooler tones instead. Here are some of my reds. Archive photos today since my youngest is ill so we’re having a quiet day at home. Have a lovely day!

Thank you redheaddem! You are the Queen of the triangles dear @LKBNOLA 😍 such a stunning collection you have and you have inspired me many times. Triangles are a beloved format for me now too!
Those reds and pinks are wonderful on you @SilkCouture . Very pretty with the grey jumper!
Gosh, these are all breathtaking @Croisette7 😍
Thank you @GloWW0rM for the link! I will definitely have to watch it multiple times too. I will let you know if I succeed 😊
Oh you look very beautiful @EtsyBoss and all the best for your cute pup!
What a wonderful shawl and story @LKBNOLA , I am so happy your friend is in remission now 😍
It's so pretty and sunny on you, darkstar ... you're so right, the daily news are so frustrating, so good to have tPF.Thank you for these interesting suggestions, @AnnaE .To find more energy, resilience and optimism is one of my big objectives, this year and every year. I have the feeling that especially the media tend more and more to only point to negative or dangerous aspects, because this apparently sells better. One of the newspapers I read has started to make a weekly summary of only positive news, as if this were something extraordinary. All this makes me nervous. My SOTD is Carpe Diem, a motto which I should try to live up to. 🤔View attachment 6122880
