I wear mine with a burgundy down coat, too, Glowworm. And my black wool. One of the most beautiful cws of this design.
Here it is with a sweater and a London Fog raincoat that I have had for almost thirty years and it looks brand new. A workhorse of workhorses. It hasn’t even shed a button! Twins with others here, including @Jereni, our newest twin. View attachment 6120480View attachment 6120483
Thank you for hosting a wonderful week, dear Karenska. I’ve been absent due to some medical issues w close family member but it looks like it’s going to be ok. Whew!
I didn’t even have time or energy to catch up here or take pics of my Space Derby or Sur Mon Nuage scarves w fun hems but I went mad trying to distract myself and got 4 new scarves in last two weeks. 3 of these just arrived and they made me happy.
Beautiful Acte III on you🥰
Twins.
Thank you!

Thank you @Awillow and I love your red and white Tropiques Poinconne-- just lovely! And the SD which I twin with you and Karenska on...

Beautiful plissés and gorgeous scarves for the theme @Karenska!

All so beautiful-- I love looking at the jewelry pairings @Croisette7 and I adore the blouse with your Alphabets III!!!

Perfect crossover @Redbirdhermes!
Thank you LKB, esp. for the blouse from Madrid some years ago.
A gorgeous array of beautiful reds for your lovely introduction @AnnaE! Thank you for taking the helm this week. I don't have a many red scarves in my collection -- in fact two have already been posted so my options are even more diminished! I will look for red surprises and red-adjacent pieces this week. In fact here is a scarf that crosses over from last week's theme-- Sieste au Paradis has one of the great borders of Scarfdom and here is a beautiful 90 cw in reds, pinks, blues and greys... Inspired by @Croisette7, @CedarWaxWing and @Nomad's recent posts of red/burgundy cws of Bateaux and Robe du Soir, too! :flowers:

This cw is so very special, I was inspired by our lanit.
After reading your comment, I spent my entire riding session today imaging how to attach a crown to my horse 😂

Wonderful. That Cliquetis is really outstanding.

Excellent reds!

Fabulous!!!!

Lovely red and gold!

Your neck must be a lot thinner than mine for you to wear the 70 like this

Beautiful scarves!

Thank you for sharing your family traditions!

Well. This is stunning. 🤩

Cute!

I totally forgot that bandana has a contrast hem (and I have two…). That is a great color for you, and I really like the plisse.

I was about to wear this myself today but switched to something else since it looks so good on you!!!

Beautiful!

Oh my. That is stunning.

Wonderful plisse. I, too, find them to wear well, but they are just so fiddly to me. You make it look easy.

What a wonderful selection. That Decoupages is just so fetching on you
Thank you so much, Anna!
Some red and gold in Danse Pacifique to ring in this new year!

Very pretty, EtsyBoss!
How I love that Découpages shawl. And weren’t the first BdeG DD carrés just the most velvety?
Thanks Maedi, yes, they were a velvet dream!

Twins.
Thank you!
Dear @Helene7, I am so happy that your family member is doing better. Sending you my hope and best wishes for his or her continuing progress and healing :hugs:. I have two close family members who are dealing with very serious illnesses and I fully empathize with the stress and worry you have been experiencing. Please take care of yourself and congratulations on your new scarves. Retail therapy does have its place in our stressful lives! Can’t wait to see what scarves you treated yourself to, Acte III Twin.

Thank you for your kind compliment.

Good Sunday!

Thank you for kicking off the week @AnnaE ! I will go Hunt the pile for red and Gold - but before that I am just sneaking in a last great border jo join the merry choir of happy Sieste sisters and twins 😃

Wish you a lovely Day!!
What a beauty! You’ve tied it so nicely to showcase the border. Have a good day!
New ins must be shared!!! This doesn’t fit the theme, but I bought Orto yesterday in the moody blue. It’s so exquisite!!!

View attachment 6122460

Jet setting today… Tho this makes the blue look duller than it is.

View attachment 6122461
Yay, twin - it’s gorgeous! Agree that the radiance is lost in photos. Happy travels.
Barbette, first, the lavender bandana and sweater look gorgeous. Such a beautiful color that is one I typically don’t wear so I admire it heartily. Please, what is the design?
Second, this goes out to @LKBNOLA , too and others who approach plisses with a bit of trepidation. I have several plisses. They wear like IRON and are tough! And while it is true that they can relax after time, I find that they spring back like little slinkies with no trouble, especially if they are folded neatly and placed in their round boxes after use and if needed, a bit of airing. The ones I have purchased over several years that had tight pleats still have them. Only two have pretty relaxed pleats but they were received that way and were great deals. I only have one now. Even a relaxed plisse can look good and can be a bit more malleable.
A very relaxed Legende de la Kuna Peuple.

Thanks for the wonderful introduction, Anna. I don't have as much red and gold, but red I do have in abundance. I love today's 140, Tropiques Ponconne, which you enabled. View attachment 6122575❤️
This is so pretty! I may now be enabled myself haha.
Welcome @AnnaE to the Lunar New Year week, and the celebration of red scarves.

Beloved India is my scarf of the day.

I love this design, and this cw is perfect on you and for this design.
My family believes wearing red with polka dots for new years eve/new years day is for attracting wealth. Can't wear black (bad luck).

My in laws always leave out round fruits (usually oranges) and sweets in new years eve. There's always a pea shoots, whole fish and whole chicken for new years eve dinner.

There are things we can't do on new years day:
No cleaning
No hair washing
No meat for the first meal of the year

SOTD is La Patisserie tied multiple ways, trying out a new mors ring.

Great experimenting with the twisted mors ring. Thanks for the glimpse into your family’s do’s and don’ts for new year’s eve and new year’s day.

This is so charming. Thank you for also sharing the flat lay - I’ve been admiring the details.

I don’t have too much red and gold together as I seem to go for red and silver or other cooler tones instead. Here are some of my reds. Archive photos today since my youngest is ill so we’re having a quiet day at home. Have a lovely day!

Great advice, @AnnaE, and an inspiring two posts filled with beauties. I have always loved that cw of PdV; I think I love every PdV issue. I showed my fuscia, pink, red and gold PdV plisse yesterday, here is an internet photo of it flat and unpleated to show off the wonderful colors in this colorway.

Thank you for these interesting suggestions, @AnnaE .To find more energy, resilience and optimism is one of my big objectives, this year and every year. I have the feeling that especially the media tend more and more to only point to negative or dangerous aspects, because this apparently sells better. One of the newspapers I read has started to make a weekly summary of only positive news, as if this were something extraordinary. All this makes me nervous. My SOTD is Carpe Diem, a motto which I should try to live up to. 🤔1000012503.jpg

Thank you @AnnaE, @Maedi, @CedarWaxWing, @Croisette7 and @glowworm for your comments! I am delighted to be twins with several of you and I adore this cw-- it was a long hunt for me to find in good condition, but very much worth the wait!

Well even if we don't always seize the day, we can come here to TPF and carpe scarfem for some inspiration-- like your sunny scarf @darkstar66!

Happy Monday, Scarfies. I am traveling a few days again. Today I am delighted to share my Mythiques Phoenix Coloriage CSGM. It is incredibly special to have this. Some years ago, I sent it to my dearest friend who was going through the crucible of cancer treatment. Now she is in remission and the Phoenix has returned-- a symbol of rebirth and optimism for the New Year...
