Thank you for hosting a wonderful week, dear Karenska. I’ve been absent due to some medical issues w close family member but it looks like it’s going to be ok. Whew!I wear mine with a burgundy down coat, too, Glowworm. And my black wool. One of the most beautiful cws of this design.
Here it is with a sweater and a London Fog raincoat that I have had for almost thirty years and it looks brand new. A workhorse of workhorses. It hasn’t even shed a button! Twins with others here, including @Jereni, our newest twin. View attachment 6120480View attachment 6120483
Thank you LKB, esp. for the blouse from Madrid some years ago.Thank you @Awillow and I love your red and white Tropiques Poinconne-- just lovely! And the SD which I twin with you and Karenska on...
Beautiful plissés and gorgeous scarves for the theme @Karenska!
All so beautiful-- I love looking at the jewelry pairings @Croisette7 and I adore the blouse with your Alphabets III!!!
Perfect crossover @Redbirdhermes!
This cw is so very special, I was inspired by our lanit.A gorgeous array of beautiful reds for your lovely introduction @AnnaE! Thank you for taking the helm this week. I don't have a many red scarves in my collection -- in fact two have already been posted so my options are even more diminished! I will look for red surprises and red-adjacent pieces this week. In fact here is a scarf that crosses over from last week's theme-- Sieste au Paradis has one of the great borders of Scarfdom and here is a beautiful 90 cw in reds, pinks, blues and greys... Inspired by @Croisette7, @CedarWaxWing and @Nomad's recent posts of red/burgundy cws of Bateaux and Robe du Soir, too!

After reading your comment, I spent my entire riding session today imaging how to attach a crown to my horse 😂
Wonderful. That Cliquetis is really outstanding.
Excellent reds!
Fabulous!!!!
Lovely red and gold!
Your neck must be a lot thinner than mine for you to wear the 70 like this
Beautiful scarves!
Thank you for sharing your family traditions!
Well. This is stunning. 🤩
Thank you so much, Anna!Cute!
I totally forgot that bandana has a contrast hem (and I have two…). That is a great color for you, and I really like the plisse.
I was about to wear this myself today but switched to something else since it looks so good on you!!!
Beautiful!
Oh my. That is stunning.
Wonderful plisse. I, too, find them to wear well, but they are just so fiddly to me. You make it look easy.
What a wonderful selection. That Decoupages is just so fetching on you
Very pretty, EtsyBoss!
Thanks Maedi, yes, they were a velvet dream! How I love that Découpages shawl. And weren’t the first BdeG DD carrés just the most velvety?

Beautiful Acte III on you🥰

Wish you a lovely Day!!
Yay, twin - it’s gorgeous! Agree that the radiance is lost in photos. Happy travels.New ins must be shared!!! This doesn’t fit the theme, but I bought Orto yesterday in the moody blue. It’s so exquisite!!!

Jet setting today… Tho this makes the blue look duller than it is.

So lovely - thanks for sharing!Barbette, first, the lavender bandana and sweater look gorgeous. Such a beautiful color that is one I typically don’t wear so I admire it heartily. Please, what is the design?
Second, this goes out to @LKBNOLA , too and others who approach plisses with a bit of trepidation. I have several plisses. They wear like IRON and are tough! And while it is true that they can relax after time, I find that they spring back like little slinkies with no trouble, especially if they are folded neatly and placed in their round boxes after use and if needed, a bit of airing. The ones I have purchased over several years that had tight pleats still have them. Only two have pretty relaxed pleats but they were received that way and were great deals. I only have one now. Even a relaxed plisse can look good and can be a bit more malleable.
A very relaxed Legende de la Kuna Peuple.

Great experimenting with the twisted mors ring. Thanks for the glimpse into your family’s do’s and don’ts for new year’s eve and new year’s day.My family believes wearing red with polka dots for new years eve/new years day is for attracting wealth. Can't wear black (bad luck).
My in laws always leave out round fruits (usually oranges) and sweets in new years eve. There's always a pea shoots, whole fish and whole chicken for new years eve dinner.
There are things we can't do on new years day:
No cleaning
No hair washing
No meat for the first meal of the year
SOTD is La Patisserie tied multiple ways, trying out a new mors ring.

Thank you for these interesting suggestions, @AnnaE .To find more energy, resilience and optimism is one of my big objectives, this year and every year. I have the feeling that especially the media tend more and more to only point to negative or dangerous aspects, because this apparently sells better. One of the newspapers I read has started to make a weekly summary of only positive news, as if this were something extraordinary. All this makes me nervous. My SOTD is Carpe Diem, a motto which I should try to live up to. 🤔Happy (almost) Lunar New Year, Hermes scarf friends!
