Good morning everyone and Happy Friday. I am a little disappointed that I have been so busy and unable to focus on these designers because, as for so many of us, they are quite high in my personal Pantheon of Silk Artists! Aline Honoré is by far the artist with the most multiples across a number of designs in my collection. In fact, I have three new cws of 90 Sieste, Fleurs d'Indiennes and Parures de Samouraïs that I plan to debut this fall!!!! But for today I am wearing one of my beloved Sieste 90s in summer brights. I am not usually quite this matchy-matchy but for today... :shrugs:
It started in a pretty cantilevered collar knot (basically @Cookiefiend's Impossible knot with more structured folds)

And after a doctor's appointment and a trip to the tailor, it has ended up like this...
View attachment 6215129
But it matters not at all because I love Sieste au Paradis in any format, size, knot or fold!!!!

The Sieste looks very pretty in both ways, LKB!
Thank you @Maedi!

Your Pelages collection is fantastis @Katharina Luise, and moreover, you look fantastic in them! Now I want to look for a bright one to go with my brown...

Thank you so much @LitGeek!

Thank you for this beautiful array @Croisette7. They are all wonderful, but I am absolutely smitten with the Pelages moussie with your blouse and necklace, and your green DuJA is TDF... and it is so nice to see Jardins d'Andalousie this week, too! I am inspired to pull mine out by your post!
PS While you hunt for a blue Bateaux, I will be still busy searching for the black...

I am your twin @darkstar66. I hear your reservations but I personally admire these beautiful sets of armor for the artistry rather than the intended use-- my children all adored the Art and Armor section of NYC's Metropolitan Museum, which includes some beautiful examples of armor across ages and cultures. But people are quite particular about what they will or won't tolerate even in a representational medium (snakes! skeletons! weapons! hunters!) and that has its own subjective logic and truth. I do hope you will wear your beautiful PdS for the amazing design; it looks so lovely with your necklace and as we are fond of saying here in Scarflandia, "Some days, you just need a Samouraïs!" :winkiss:
Here's a pic of mine to go along with @Croisette7's above...

Well no fair @FA73-- we can't all be expected to have the absolutely perfect blouse to amp up the beautiful borders on our scarves, now can we? Way to set a high bar and scramble the styling expectations... In all seriousness, this is amazing!

I love this @Nomad-- fabulous collection and as we have said many times, we probably aren't done yet! We are almost exact twins. One could of course admire these "uniforms" for the artistry alone, but I think that heritage also comes into it and is so important-- each of my brothers has inherited and displays some of our great-grandfather and grandfather's cavalry swords. It is part of the family history.

This is just an inspired outfit @Teaforparrots!

Love this Sarasa @Cookiefiend! You look so cool and stylish...

There's a whole lot of twinning go on with us in these posts @CoastalCouture! I am twins on the two 90s (thrilled to have found that gorgeous ACdlV recently!) and twins on the navy Tulipomanie as well as twins on the marinière... blue lovers are bound to be twins when it comes to scarf selection, right?

I love this @labelo! I am your blue sister. I think I am going to try to wear it tomorrow...

Lovely and so pretty with your necklace and skirt @darkstar66.

These ar eabsolutely stunning @cascade2021. And so beautifully styled, too... that first Plumes has me all a-swoon!

Thank you @Jereni for hosting amid chaos, especially. I know we all appreciate it so much! These are both beautiful-- twins on the ITCW and sisters on the DuJA, though I would like also to twin on this one!

So beautifully tied with your ring and your earrings are perfection with this @FA73.

Beautiful @Redbirdhermes! I am your 90 twin and 140 sister-- cannot get enough of this one...
Thank you for your compliments, Samouraïs-twin!

Gorgeous on you.
Thank you, Maedi!
It’s a winner!

Love all of these on you, @Katharina Luise. Hope you’re doing well, and that things settle down soon.

Wow - that’s epic @FA73. Just the perfect match of top and scarf! You have a remarkable eye for how to pull out one unique feature of a design in a very intentional way. I have several of your knots bookmarked for reference.

Lovely on you!

Gorgeous, @Croisette7 Is this the London SE/LE? It’s fabulous 💚

I so covet this ITCW! Beautiful CW and beautiful on you. That DuJA is not too shabby either 😉.
You have a great collection and I appreciate how carefully you’ve curated it to ensure that each one sparks joy and works for you.

Beautiful in these tropical ocean tones. Great pairing with the earrings, too! 💙

Stunning 😍
Thank you, Lellabelle, yes a SE for NBS, London.
Two scarf day, this evening Au Fil du Carré and earlier at my walk, Retour a la Nature helped against the sun and the wind.

I see I missed Aline and Alice week so here are few from the archives. I love how easy that is 🤔🤣
DuJA, Tyger Tyger, Into the Canadian Wild, Au Cœur de la Vie, Sieste au Paradis, Under the Waves.
Thanks Jereni, for hosting
Happy weekend, lovely Scarfies ❤️

Love your DuJA's so much, Helena!

I am going to squeeze in two more Aline Honoré designs before our week ends and maybe a Shirley or two after tomorrow evening...DH and I are meeting friends for dinner and my SOTE is Sieste au Paradis 140 plume silk worn as a top. Inspired by @Redbirdhermes today and by @cascade2021, whose love of the format made me reach for mine...

And several scarfies have shown the beautiful Tulipomanie GT as well as the gorgeous 90 and they have inspired me to share a recent outfit with my bright blue Tulipomanie 90...

Love your elegant Sieste!❤️ ... and twinning tulips!
Not my sotd but on theme. Similar story as paddock. I had a feeling none of the new Tyger tyger 70 colorways would work on me, and was eventually proven correct in trying 3 cw’s. Very early in new season when we simply saw the colorways coming out I decided to get a CSGM with the beautiful sky instead. I needed to scratch that Tyger tyger itch that was coming from this season and didn’t want to get one just because it was new and a tyger, plus knowing it wouldn’t have been ideal colors on me.
I surprisingly (didn’t expect to find one so quick) found this one which I am so so happy to have in collection.

@FA73 such a gorgeous Under the Waves! There wasn’t a bad cw of this design, in truth.

@Redbirdhermes amazing duo of Siestes! I covet that purple one harrrrd.

@LKBNOLA that blue and yellow Sieste is so wonderfully cheerful! Love your styling of it. And oh my word, I had yet to see a cw of PdS that I felt I needed but yours might be the one. Do you have a flat photo? I am rmmensely loving your 140 Sieste worn as a top!!! I haven’t lost enough weight to wear a 90 as a top but this might work. Is there a name for the knot/method that I could search for?

@Teaforparrots I am hella diggin that color combo too! I’m such a sucker for rich jewel tone combos, even tho sometimes I can’t wear them.

@Nomad that purple Tyger Tyger always takes my breath away. For awhile that was the one I stalked. Gorgeous on you.

@Jacq1 wonderful pattern matching with that PeF!

@Helena7 such an epic array of Alice’s and Aline’s! I love the colors you choose. And that green pendant is baller.

@darkstar66 I love that cw of Tyger! I’d prob get it if I could ever find it.

Hello again, please excuse me for writing a second time, but I will not post tomorrow and I cannot let an Alice week go by without showing my 100% absolute top grail treasure: JAGUAR QUETZAL of course. It will be my SOTM if the heat lets me. Thank you so much, Jereni, for hosting meticulously and with great energy this captivating week full of iconic designs. :hugs:17394.webp17396.webp17397.webp
Like @darkstar66 and @Maedi I began my scarf journey in 1991 with a black background Daimyo quickly followed by the white cw.

Hahaha you are too funny  If you can believe it, the day the tyger 70 colors were known to us in June, I found the CSGM that day. It was so odd to not have to hunt for one for forever.
I decided on paddock last week. This Japanese seller was so fast. So fast that I went back on the buy another from them since I knew I’d get it before the 29th but they put store on vacation ha. Maybe the universe is telling me no more 90’s either .

@Maedi, in the US we were able to purchase an item below $800 value internationally, like from Europe and Japan I know (not sure if all countries), and not have to pay a duty tax. It was our personal purchase shipping exemption. If we bought a more expensive item like a CSGM from Europe then we would have to pay a tax on it. To me the duty is so high that it’s not worth purchasing the item at all imo.
Example- in early summer, I purchased some leather from England when the store had a sale. I made sure I was under $800. But sadly the company put the original price on the duty shipping form and I received a duty bill that was hundreds of dollars. I planned to deny the delivery and the items would have been shipped back to company. But the company ended up paying the duty for me which I thought was incredibly good customer service.
On the 29th of this month that personal purchase exemption is going away 😥. So any purchase we make will have a bill attached now. Which for me means no more eBay scarf shopping 😆 . Making my paddock all the more special haha.

I also have that Tyger Tyger 140 itch, Nomad, but sadly he is making himself scarce in Switzerland. :crybaby:

Thank you to @Jereni for hosting the 'A' Designers week.

I'm following the lead of many of my fellow Scarfies today and wearing Tyger, Tyger as my scarf of the day. And, reminding myself that I should be wearing this beautiful 90 more.

In addition, I would like to share this morning's scarf mail. This is Grand Prix Polo de Bagatelle mousseline stole in a changeant. It looks Sable brown in many pictures, but in real life it has frequent touches of bright blue and golden brown.

I am also trying to resist this new Tyger edition as I don’t wear the 70 cm ones that much. Twins on the CSGM with you and @bunnycat . It’s a beauty and looks great on you.
