I like bandanas! I always enjoyed the 55 cm bandanas. I collect them mostly for color, and lately for the striped hems. I also have three 70 bandanas, a 60 cm moussie and two twillies. Some 90s in my collection are in bandana format (Pani La Shar DF, Guepards DF and Les Mustangs Marble Silk Bandana). Recently I added three very useful and easy breezy CSGM bandana shawls (a fourth one will emerge from the Scarf Gift Vault soon for my anniversary.@redheaddem !) I was surprised by how much I loved the shawls once I took the plunge, but bandanas in all formats are a perfect way to integrate some casual elegance into my wardrobe and coastal lifestyle.

The 55 cm size add a pop of almost solid color to an outfit. My DH actively dislikes pattern mixing (he makes a grudging exception for stripes) so a bandana, with its limited palette is a good work-around!

Recent seasons have really got me thinking that there will be an H bandana print out there for me. So many great ones popping up on this thread and the one for the new season. As always, we can count on you, @LKBNOLA, for great choices, and flawless, easy styling. Love both of these on you!

You and the sunflowers-- both dazzling @Teaforparrots!

Both are lovely @Jereni and your half bow knot looks great with Premier Chant! The whole ensemble very fetching. (and Thank you!)

Thank you @Croisette7-- you know me... I like a pretty knot.

Beautiful colors @Redbirdhermes and I totally agree with your sentiments about the 90 silks.

There are all so great! I giggled at your Tiger comment @Cookiefiend! And I think I may have become your twin on J'Aime Mon Carre recently, too. (and thank you for the border love!)

Let me know when you find the secret to "Scarf Peace"... so far it has been an elusive state for me to achieve @Jacq1 :winkiss:

Thank you -- always a pleasure to let the scarves shine @GloWW0rM!

A very touching story @darkstar. I loved reading it and thank you for sharing. You chose a fitting scarf to honor your little guest (so pretty, too!). We are twins on this Tigre Royale also!

Thank you @Katharina Luise -- it is always so nice to see you and your beautiful photos. I am glad you enjoyed FoSA and I commend you on your perfect execution of the Criss Cross Bova Knot!
With scarf mail on the way I would not exactly call it scarf peace - only 90 silk twill peace for now :giggle:

We will see how long it lasts - there are still some beauties on my list …

It’s all you need in the ‘hood!
( ish - that was baaaaaaad )

You wear these small format so well Cookie! And thank you for a great week!
Good evening!

Apologies for dropping in infrequently these weeks as I am relaxing in the cabin in the wilderness (aka a deliberately overgrown garden) without many scarves and even less clothes to match.

But I must repeat the choir of 90 carré love. 95% of my scarves are 90x90, though I have come to love the 140 and 100 cashmeres lately. 90 are versatile, and as I am not a petite lady The smaller formats are difficult to wear properly I think. But the 90s are just enough silk to wear in both big and smaller ways.

I am happy to try the new (to me) version of bova knot which @LKBNOLA and @darkstar66 have just demonstrated with my sotd Kachinas for a trip to the local village before the rainstorm hit us.

Also sharing a snapshot from the grounds. My main function in the cabin is to keep everyone fed - including the songbirds. No bird will go hungry to nest tonight. And only a few mice and squirrels have been observed at the buffet

Wish you all a week of wellbeing!

Lovely! And I am so jealous of your cabin right now ☺️
Thank you to @Cookiefiend for hosting this thought provoking theme week.

I am starting with a 90 carré - this format and my SOTD were my first H, my first love so to speak.

Recently, I am feeling quite satisfied with my selection of 90s (although of course there are still some grails to hunt and new temptations to ponder with every new season)

I do think the 90 silk is the most elegant format and I feel like many designs look the best in a 90 with the beautiful silk twill sheen that other formats lack..

The sheen of silk is the best. That design is so beautiful on you and I m going to try that knot too.

Thank you! It was just a messy bias fold, with a double knot at the end

Hello friends! I am back in one place for a little while. Today is a day of laundry and household chores. I am not up to a Scarfie selfie, so am drawing on a recent pic to offer up something blue in honor of @scarf1 and talk a bit about favorite formats. From posts in memory of Diane, I have learned that it is perfectly ok to specialize in blue and I am good with that. Thank you @AnnaE for posting Diane's picture, I feel as if I have met her in person.

Here is Dans l'Atelier de Robert Dallet, a treasure and always fun to wear. Yes, it's a 90! 90s outnumber everything else in my scarf collection but, maybe the fact that there are more 90s on offer than any other format might have something to do with it. I love my 70s for their ease of wear, particularly in the warmer months, though I wish they were in the same silk twill as the 90s. CSGMs? Love those too! Nothing says luxury like cashmere and silk together. The generous cut adds to that too. Right now, I only have a few but, I definitely see that growing. The 90s will continue to grow too, no question.

My favorite thing about 90s is definitely all the knots! Well, and the variety.

Your scarf game iS goals LKBNOLA 😍. That shawl is so perfectly summery and beach like. Very exited for the reveil of the birthday shawl and I might have an idea and cannot wait to see it on you again. And you wear that 55 in such a cute way too!

Hello and good morning,
I'd like to share an little story with you today which might warm your hearts in these days full of disaster and misery.
About 3 weeks ago, a black beauty turned up in our garden and then under our pergola. He looked for food and milk and devoured everything he found. Then we went on a journey for 1 week. When we returned, he was still there and, after having been very shy and passing like a flash in the first days, he became more and more confiding to the point that he wanted absolutely to enter the house (we did not let him at first). Of course we thought at this point that there were new neighbours with a cat. Then, after our return, we saw that he still demanded food and milk and devoured it at great speed. The past weekend we lounged under the pergola and finally saw that he had difficulties to walk. I decided to call my friend at the animal shelter Monday morning and in the evening she had found out that our beauty was not a stray cat but a missing one who had fallen off a window sill in the second floor of a building at perhaps 500 m air-line distance from us. As he was an appartement cat and traumatized he just ran away up the hill until our neighbourhood. He's now safely back at his proprietor's who weeped when he saw him again, he had thought he had lost him forever. The cherry on the cake: I had named him Blacky and whenever I called him, he came immediately, which intrigued my quite a bit. His true name is Secchi, and he just thought perhaps that I had a strange accent. 😁 Although I'm very happy for him, I miss our little boarder and in his "honour" I wear Tigre Royal today.View attachment 6205091View attachment 6205090View attachment 6205087View attachment 6205082View attachment 6205085
I am touched by this story and can imagine the happy reunion. Beautiful TR on you. This cw is smashing.

Okay, I took the photo right away 😉 I have not been present here for some time, but I followed, loved and liked! Last week with all the wonderful reminders of Diana really touched me deeply. I remembered especially a photo where her moussie was flowing with the wind. It was so lovely.
As I wrote as a reply to @darkstar66‘s post for the first time I understood how to tie the Bova knot, because I could see it on her photo! Now for the following week Bova knots only! 😂 And to be on theme of course with my favorite format, a 90 silk. Most of my scarves are 90es, they just are so easy to tie in different ways.
Now a photo with my vintage Kachinas, no makeup and messy hair 😉View attachment 6205109
Kachinas seems extra suited for the Bova knot with its splendid pattern.

Gorgeous bandanas. The pink summery pop of color is ingenious. I admire pattern mixing on others but don’t practice it so understand your DH’s view. The green Tatouages is splendid, too.
