Catching up in phases…

In all the time I knew Diana, I somehow missed that we were twinkies on this beauty until yesterday…..

This is so so pretty on you! Love all your stylings of it.

today with my blue/turquoise Grands Fonds

Wonderfully detailed design and I love it on the striped shirt also.

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday. Like Diana, I loved the 70 format. She and I were sisters on these two cute designs featuring bathing beauties...
Ballet Aquatique

And Bain de Mer. I loved learning that the lady on the beach featured in all the small squares on this scarf. is Jean Louis Clerc's wife! I was about to tie this but left it draped so you could see her posed in hat and swimsuit...

And DH are on the road today-- excited to make our first trip to visit with family since late April! We have the two dogs with us so very appropriately I am wearing Jour de Casting, which features the dogs of Hermès employees all gussied up in their H finery...
View attachment 6202217View attachment 6202219
And here are my two, au naturel, no finery at all!

FLOOFY!!!!!!

That Ballet Aquatique is sooo cute also. Charming on you.

It’s still too hot for scarves here, but posting one for Diana, that we twinned on. Thanks to @Pirula for reminding me - it’s lovely to see you here again, however sad the circumstances.
The lovely blues of Laboratoires du temps:

(I love the details that look like fireworks here)

And one we didn’t twin on, but it’s the bluest blue imaginable: Three Graces in Indigo Fonce (I think this may be the same blue as @Redbirdhermes’ Ors Bleu D’Afrique?)

View attachment 6202250
View attachment 6202252

Both of these blues are just so glorious! They leap off the screen.

Wowwww. I have been UNAWARE of this colorway until now. This is danger.

Wearing my newest darling with another pattern on pattern mix today - I am getting braver about these. Teal in my mind is a mix of blue and green, so I am still at least theme adjacent
View attachment 6202410

Definitely epic pattern matching! Love the minty teal border.

I don’t wear many scarves in the hot months, but giving an archive pic in honor of Diana. A blue Zouaves bandana, enabled by @LKBNOLA. It is my favorite blue in my 140’s.

@redheaddem I am also commenting here about your rose Coeur on the seasonal. I love it! And love it on you! I never thought I’d get a 140 bandana due to same cost for much less expense by H to produce, as well as not thinking I would have a use for it, kind of feeling it lacked enough interest for price tag with a one dimensional design thing to it. But boy was I wrong. When you find the perfect right base color in a bandana you will wear it all the time. To the grocery store in yoga clothes or sweats, to kids sports games, thrown on for the pub, wherever we live our lives with that casually thrown on under our face putting on a glow or brightening. And that’s whether a 55/70/80/90/140. They all do that same thing. An all rose base 140 is chefs kiss. And They may never do another rose cashmere base. So I’ll be getting one too. Hope it makes me glow like on you!
Andddd maybe I’m full of it and maybe this beautiful warm Rose will be like Rose bonbon where we will now see it allllllllll the time :cray:

Love this bandana! I was very tempted by something similar last year. This is such a perfect summery design somehow.

Good morning!!

Sotd is one of my all time favorites - the blue and green Animapolis.

Wish you an animated day!

Beautiful, twin! It’s funny, I definitely think of this as blue but in this look you are emphasizing the green and khaki so expertly. It’s truly a chameleon scarf.

Diana & I shared this wonderful 70 as well as a love for Paris, and Paris themed scarves….View attachment 6202694

Very cute! I have this one in the orange but also admires this cw as well. Looks very elegant on you.

Good evening! I just came to rest after a busy day. For a trip into NYC I wore my newest grail: Dans un Jardin Anglaise in a bright cw. It was so hot that under the collar was the only way, but this is a design Diana loved and also a tie she favored-- a simple long bias knot. On the way to my scarfie lunch I passed by the Madison boutique which was hosting an all day event for families featuring music and snacks, face painting, crafts, balloon art and so on-- very cute. It looked like it was being enjoyed by "children of all ages" as they say. There was a banner of chalk art on the sidewalk:
IMG_7209.webp
And a giant sand model of the boutique (apologies for the photo through the vitrine-- I could not get close enough indoors)

And here is my hotel window selfie before the brutal heat overtook us all!

Hello and good morning,
Perhaps Diana would have liked my SOTD, it's my favourite Annie Faivre design, Grands Fonds, this one in a mousseline.View attachment 6202676
Just stunning @darkstar66-- as is the sentiment.
My dear darkstar,

How sweet of you. Thank you. :hbeat:
Is there a nicer medicine than this wonderful thread with all the eye candy and even interesting information about the background, history, art and culture on top and everybody - without mischief or jealousy sharing this passion and with compassion, even for the personal life and challenges of members, too? And you also spoil us with your beautiful photos and lovely scarves and kind words - thank you for that too.
Love

... And to stay on topic, here's what I wore this week... (Blue scarves is rather a bit easy for me... got quite a few, :giggle:).
@Pivoine66, it is so lovely to read your post and see two of your many beautiful blues! I completely echo your appreciation of this wonderful thread too. :hugs:
Dear Anna and scarfies, I’m so sorry to read this news about Diana’s passing. I’ll reach out to you privately as well.

As OG scarfies, Diana shared her passion for blue, mousselines and silks for as long as I remember, dating back to my first days of collecting in 2007. She was already a scarf collector and a member here before my joining. We would run into each other at our boutique during our separate appointments with our SA’s when new season offerings were in the store. She was lovely in person, and treasured her scarves as well as very keen on what she liked.

We once had a very interesting discussion about blues. In the early days of my choosing scarves I somehow ended up choosing blue so frequently that we both would be interested in the same designs. She remarked that while both of our complexions were different, both of us were harmonious in complexion and spirit with blues. Though she never wavered from her passion for blue for herself, she complimented my choices for white background and colorful silks:)😉

On another visit, she asked how I could wear so many colors and I told her that
I felt I was missing out on the many beautiful color combinations so pushed myself to just enjoy the scarves for their artistry (sparking joy, lol) try wearing different colors, moving toward a more diverse palette of colors, by wearing basic white or black tops, and striped shirts to pull off other colors and patterns. I think she delighted in the thought of wearing stripes with patterned silks.

Here are a few that were favorites:

Parures des Samourais had us both trying to decide which blue version to purchase. Diana chose the blue and white, I chose the blue/violet and the blue/navy, PLUs the pink/turquoise and anise green. I know she loved her PdS shawl. And I so admired that she could decide on just one!

View attachment 6202699View attachment 6202700Here’s the striped shirt with Pivoines and her fav hydrangeas with Bleu Electric Jige that I carried the day I ran into her at the boutique.View attachment 6202705View attachment 6202706
Diana also liked mousselines, especially stoles. I think she liked these.

Fantastic and it really pops on these blue-on-blue stripes. Love this styling @Redbirdhermes.
Hi, scarf friends! This Tapis Persans scarf just came from another friend (who was crazy to give it up!). I am actually twins with Diana on this. She did love her moussies.

View attachment 6202814
Congratulations on another beautiful moussie for your amazing collection @AnnaE. Great jewelry too.
Diana loved Hawaii - she and Mr Scarf1 traveled to Hawaii many many times. My scarf today makes me think of travel -flying in particular - because Clouds.
I love sitting in the window seat because I love to look out the window and to see the clouds.

Scarf of the day as a newbie, masan masan wore as belt
Welcome @Carinecrd! You could not have come to a better place to start your silky education. I believe I speak for many of us who learned so much about the scarves themselves, how to style them, how to tie them and how to share, support and celebrate our scarf journeys no matter where we are along that road. I love your belt tie and I personally, swear by the App "Scarf Art" for scarf tying.
FLOOFY!!!!!!
That Ballet Aquatique is sooo cute also. Charming on you.
Thank you @Jereni! You made me laugh because I forgot about the pups' photo in that post and my first reaction was, "FLOOFY???"

Good morning!!

Today I am sharing, but not wearing, a blue scarf I have been eyeing for some time, and which became suddenly available in a crisp and affordable state.

Faune Lettree by Florence Manlik -
I think perhaps sister with @LKBNOLA ?

You do know I cant resist a scarf with rare creatures and Honestly - it has a pink camel and a sloth on it… (now while I write this, I realize that the same is the case for cosmographia universalis - do I detect a hidden Hermes theme here? 🤔)
IMG_1393.webp

But the heat and humidity makes scarf game difficult, so today my only mousseline is my rescue - Cæur de la vie.

Wish you all a cool breeze of a day!
