Fantastic ensemble @CedarWaxWing -- I did mention those shoes, didn't I? I hope th eparty was as great as the outfit!Popping in to share what I wore to a small garden party for the birthday of a visiting friend from Houston here on our island Wednesday. I was running too late to take photos before and had run out of steam after, so I staged this yesterday morning before I put it all away. The Grand Menège Twilly is new to me and I was delighted that it goes with the Le Livre d’Esope CSGM, which I threw over my shoulders after sunset. I love pairing twillys as hat bands with CSGMs in the summer. #TwoScarfDaySummers
Tote is from Sézane (fits a bottle or two of wine, and a shawl perfectly). Shoes from Sole Bliss - so comfortable! (shout out to @LKBNOLA for reminding me of that company) Linen dress: Garnet Hill - I have a few of these and like them a lot for ease of wear and the heftier thickness of the linen but lament the lack of pockets. Hat: San Diego Hat Co.
Blue for you, Dear Diana. I did not know you well but I certainly appreciated your presence here in our wonderful scarf community, and I am so touched by the sharing of her memories here. Thank you especially @AnnaE, and also @lanit and @Pirula. It’s so nice to see you here again.

Yes you did mention those shoes and I ordered 3 pairs of sandals a few days later. I had explored them before when I had read they were favs of Helen Mirren and then forgot about them entirely until you - so thank you, and my feet thank you!Fantastic ensemble @CedarWaxWing -- I did mention those shoes, didn't I? You've done it again, @LKBNOLA You've added yet another important word to the Scarflandia lexicon! Along with Acute Scarf Acquisition Syndrome, and others, Scarfrilege was a missing word, and now we have it. You could host an entire week on Scarfrilege, I bet! We really should put together a thread with a lexicon of terms, don't you think? 😆I believe you both @CedarWaxWing and @Jereni, meant to say "Scarfrilege"?
This is beautiful on you and it grants me a perfect segue to my post. Diana loved the Au Coeur de la Vie — she had four of them I believe, the most of any design, and it was the scarf she chose for her profile photo here.My final tribute post for Diana includes a new to me "grail multiple" of a scarf I fell in love with on her years ago. I found it earlier this year but it is quite fittingly making its TPF debut today in her honor. I was so lucky to have shared my love of blue scarves with her, along with many other interests. We had quite a few scarves in common and she was always generous with her knowledge of cws, seasons, background information, opinions and so on. Huge thanks to @AnnaE for organizing this beautiful memorial week and to everyone here for their characteristic generosity, sharing, friendship and love for a valued member of our Scarflandia tribe. I am sure Diana is smiling at all the memories, stories, mod shots, OGs and newbies posting in her honor this week. 💙😇

Thank you for sharingDiana touched my life in many ways; silks just opened the door. One huge, recent way was helping me plan a family trip to Lake Como last year. She’d been many times with Joel. She had a favorite hotel there, the Villa d’Este, and was adamant we stay there. It was perfection, and the trip would not have been the same without her advice….

What a true grail this is! Thank you for sharingGood evening! I just came to rest after a busy day. For a trip into NYC I wore my newest grail: Dans un Jardin Anglaise in a bright cw. It was so hot that under the collar was the only way, but this is a design Diana loved and also a tie she favored-- a simple long bias knot. On the way to my scarfie lunch I passed by the Madison boutique which was hosting an all day event for families featuring music and snacks, face painting, crafts, balloon art and so on-- very cute. It looked like it was being enjoyed by "children of all ages" as they say. There was a banner of chalk art on the sidewalk:

And a giant sand model of the boutique (apologies for the photo through the vitrine-- I could not get close enough indoors)

And here is my hotel window selfie before the brutal heat overtook us all!

Love it, and especially lovely with the mariniere
Thank you! They are livelyBoth of these blues are just so glorious! They leap off the screen.
Congratulations on the new-in, and especially on that Au Coeur mousseline - wow! 💙Good morning!!
Today I am sharing, but not wearing, a blue scarf I have been eyeing for some time, and which became suddenly available in a crisp and affordable state.
Faune Lettree by Florence Manlik -
I think perhaps sister with @LKBNOLA ?
You do know I cant resist a scarf with rare creatures and Honestly - it has a pink camel and a sloth on it… (now while I write this, I realize that the same is the case for cosmographia universalis - do I detect a hidden Hermes theme here? 🤔)

But the heat and humidity makes scarf game difficult, so today my only mousseline is my rescue - Cæur de la vie.

Jaguar Quetzal is always a good idea! Looks super on you, @darkstar66Hello and good morning,
This is my absolutely Number 1 design, Jaguar Quetzal. Okay, not a completely blue one but I tried to tie it in the most blue way possible.View attachment 6203049View attachment 6203050View attachment 6203051

That’s some quality, multi-lingual punning, right there.Thank you 😊 - I did seem to remember that you also had the crazy creature alphabet scarf (is that Alpha-Bête in French? 😉). I am very happy to be twins on that!!
Great outfit and the twilly is a superb match for the shawl! I do this too in summer - twilly on the hat and a shawl for cooler moments and evenings. It’s such a versatile summer combo. Thanks for the info on the different outfit items too - I think we all get inspo here, beyond scarves! Hope the party was great!Popping in to share what I wore to a small garden party for the birthday of a visiting friend from Houston here on our island Wednesday. Sounds like a magical place for it!This post covers a bit of blue for Diana, a sacrilege (Edited to say I mean SCARFRILEGE per @LKBNOLA) against scarves for @Jereni, and another Two-Scarf Summer Day - this is actually from last summer with my friend, the mother of the groom, at a ceremony held in wildlife sanctuary out on a bluff. The bluff overlooks a dazzling view of a narrows that teems with seals sunning on the rocks, or playing and fishing in the swift currents, along with eagles sometimes diving for their share of the catch. Reaching it only requires a sweet quarter mile hike through alders, then pines and firs. The temp for the hike was cool, but out on the bluff it was quite warm that day.
Hermès Quest Twilly as hatband and Dressage Tressage CSGM - on the ground behind me. 😳

So cute!Hello Scarflandia, I’ve been on a trip this week and for the first time in two years did not bring any scarves. Sacrilege!
Here’s an archive photo of one of my favorite blues, Minuit au Faubourg gavroche.

She loved this design so much that, surprisingly, she even had this red one (yes, red! I think this was the only red one she owned) that is now mine. I will always think of her when wearing it.
In another nod to scarf friends and inspirations, I am wearing the Hermes earrings @LKBNOLA enabled me to get.
(I realize my enormous hunk of amber on my wrist doesn’t go! It’s a recent acquisition and I am still figuring out how to wear it).
