Stunning! Diana loved that QM2 scarf. I think that it the one that we associate with her the most. I know Diana’s husband Joel will always treasure it in her memory.View attachment 6200810Diana (@scarf1) and I first bonded here, in addition to scarves, over our love of travel on the QM2 of all things. As with may others on here, that blossomed into a multi-year friendship that will be treasured always. I truly hope our souls cross again at some point. She was a special lady.
In her honor, I’m wearing the QM2 edition of En Avant Toute! today. We both had this scarf but in different colorways. Both blue, OF CCOURSE!
Yes, I remember her wearing those! Beautiful scarf on youThank you, @AnnaE, for hosting this week and honoring @scarf1. I remember post this well, even though it has been 5 years now. I had joined the Hermes scarf forum one month earlier. At this point I had posted fewer than 20 times. Buying scarves was new to me, and I was pretty excited about this acquisition. I quickly found out that I was Twins with Diana. I was thrilled with her lovely response, but more so, I felt so welcomed to this group.

In her honor I am wearing our mutual La Legende du Poisson Corail today. This is the blue and lavender version. Diana later purchased an all-blue colorway, and as far as I know, she continued to wear both of them.

Fantastic! I am very tempted by this cw!Thank you for hosting this wonderful week, FA73. I'm back home and can "contribute" my Séléné with its stars in her hair and some starry plant, I think. Also one of my favourite scenes with the howling dog. Wish everybody a relaxed weekend!View attachment 6200311View attachment 6200312View attachment 6200313View attachment 6200314
Anna - what a lovely intro and remembrance of Diana.Jul 13 - Blue Week!
Hi scarf friends! As many of you know, @scarf1 (Diana) has passed away last Sunday. She was a dear friend to many of us here, and we initially bonded with her through her love of scarves.
This was supposed to be yellow week, but in Diana’s memory, we are making it blue week.
Diana was a scarfie (a scarfhead as her husband Joel calls us) to the end. In her final days, I was privileged to spend some time with her gossiping about scarves and discussing the upcoming scarf season. I am so sad she didn’t make it to the scarves hitting the scores here in California. She was also opining on the best colorways for other friends with Joel’s help.
Diana also really loved the color blue. She was more dedicated to the color blue than I am to the color red (seems impossible, I know). While helping Joel to look over collection, I discovered some that seemed out of characters (yellow?! Pink?!). Turns out, those were Joel’s choices (she loved shopping together!). All of hers were always blue! That’s just the color to which she always navigated.
Joel passed on a few of Diana’s scarves to me, and I am honored to be wearing one of them today: Maurice Tranchant’s Pavement. I am also wearing Diana’s bangle.

As Diana was diagnosed and treated, many of us realized that what we had created are real connections and real friendships. I think even Diana was surprised to find out how virtual friendships have grown into real ones, with people really caring about each other, celebrating life’s successes, supporting each other during tough times and being heartbroken when one of us is no longer there.
I want to take this week to not only celebrate Diana’s memory, but also celebrate the friendships we create here. I know many here become friends, sometimes virtually and sometimes in person, and that’s truly wonderful. Please join me in honoring Diana and celebrating our community.
So very beautiful. What a beautiful post to begin blue week to honor Diana. She will be so missed.
I’ll start with one Diana and I shared. She very wisely sought it out when it was released, I had to wait years to find mine. I remember how tickled pink she was when I finally did….

It is gorgeous!Such a lovely tribute to Diana 💙
I did not know her, but she sounds like a wonderful person. I am sorry for her loss and offer my condolences to you AnnaE and to all her friends here on TPF. This is indeed a wonderful community.
I am still travelling without blue scarves but I am sharing a photo of my blue Robe Légère, who is special to me, in honour of Diana.

Simply stunning LKB! These hydrangeas are truly fabulous.Thank you @AnnaE for the lovely tribute and to everyone else posting their blue treasures in Diana/@scarf1's memory. I am going to follow in @Croisette7's footsteps and post one that Diana and I twinned on. Here is Retour a la Nature, which I wore yesterday and refolded to show the perdominantly blue side of the shawl, which was her favorite. She was not so enamored of some of the other colors along the bottom but she loved the magenta hem. Posting also a close up of my blue hydrangeas, which she also loved.

Thank you @AnnaE for the lovely intro. Diana was one of the gentlest souls and radiated positivity, even as she faced grueling treatments.
We twinned on this Tapis Persans moussie

It's absolutely glorious in all the ways you are tying it. I am especially smitten with the last double knot - so creative and showing all the beauty. And of course seconding the gift of friendship in this forum - such a special community: supportive, kind, intelligent, with so much to share.Thank you to @FA73 for a fantastic week of hosting. I loved seeing all the stars in our scarves and in our collections. I can't let this week end without sharing a recently acquired grail of my own, Equateur 140 GS, which I never thought I'd find. This beautiful scarf is a star in its own right but it shines doubly bright for me because it came with the provenance of friendship. It is one of the most lovely things about our community that the shared passion for silk can link us across space and time-- not unlike the lines that connect stars to make the constellations. The scarf is undeniably gorgeous but friendship is the true star. 🌟 I'm so happy to share it here.

How gorgeous and amazing paired with light blue. I wore my twin one on Friday with a pumpkin colored T-Shirt but alas no photo. I am so sorry to hear of Diana’s passing. She was so lovely. A beautiful tribute and introduction, @AnnaE, thank you so much. It’s so good that you were such a part of Diana’s life. I understand her love of blue - I have more blue scarves than any other. Wishing Joel and Diana’s family and friends comfort in their loss. Thank you, @FA73, for hosting Star of the Show week. A recent archive mod shot.Hello all,
We are reaching the end of our starry week and I want to thank you all, it has been a pleasure to guest host for the first time!
Stars are widely used as symbols of excellence and achievement, high quality and outstanding performance (maybe because they are high in the sky, sparkling, unattainable, and mysterious?)

The complete wording for this week's theme was: Star of the Show: Find stars in designs or show us the star of your collex.
For our last day, I would like to invite you to show us the star (or the stars) of your collection, one deserving five stars, shines the brightest in the constellation, merits to go on top of the Christmas tree!
For my part, I am over the moon to introduce a newly acquired 🌟🌟🌟superstar🌟🌟🌟, one that I did not even dare dreaming about (this one was truly reaching for the stars!). I like to think that the girl at the window is stargazing, if the Paris night sky allows it.
