I saved my best themed scarf for last:

L‘année des étoiles in a sublime mousseline gavroche. Such a Lucky find!

Today I am especially happy with some pattern matching - this is the first H scarf I felt comfortable combining with my multicolor shirt, made again by my grandmother.

Super pairing and I love the shirt. Your grandmother is talented and what a treat to be able to have bespoke pieces from her!
For my talk today the same outfit as 2 weeks ago, with a different bias fold to have a little variation - showing the beautiful colibri feathers.

Classy and fabulous, @Agrume!
Posting to show @FA73 that I understood the assignment today! Showing some star fish on Hermès Flagship...

I think this may be the prettiest styling of this one that I’ve yet seen. I did a double-take as I didn’t recognize it. Looks great tied this way!
Beautiful shawl, garden and kitty! This is lovely on you, Tea!
Hello all,

We are reaching the end of our starry week and I want to thank you all, it has been a pleasure to guest host for the first time!

Stars are widely used as symbols of excellence and achievement, high quality and outstanding performance (maybe because they are high in the sky, sparkling, unattainable, and mysterious?)

The complete wording for this week's theme was: Star of the Show: Find stars in designs or show us the star of your collex.

For our last day, I would like to invite you to show us the star (or the stars) of your collection, one deserving five stars, shines the brightest in the constellation, merits to go on top of the Christmas tree!

For my part, I am over the moon to introduce a newly acquired 🌟🌟🌟superstar🌟🌟🌟, one that I did not even dare dreaming about (this one was truly reaching for the stars!). I like to think that the girl at the window is stargazing, if the Paris night sky allows it.

An appropriate transition to blue week too! Have a great weekend everyone!
Wonderful hosting this week, and what a find on the Toits de Paris! Many congratulations on finding this elusive star!

It’s 36C (nearly 97F) today so much too hot for scarf wearing. Here’s an archive pic of one of the stars on my collection, the lovely Into the Canadian Wild Canada edition. That cool lake and river (and the glacier!) look very inviting about now!

Bonus pic of my much-loved little CS bandana, with it’s matte gold and white stars

I wish I’d picked up a second of these when they were still in stock. I love this little one!

Well, my goodness! What a stellar way to end Stargazing week @FA73! Mega congratulations. This is a fabulous find and it looks like it is in beautiful condition, too. Fantastic styling with the tassels on your top showing. I love your conception of the girl looking up at the stars over Paris. Thank you for a really spectacular week of hosting. I enjoyed every post and the wonderful examples from you and everyone on the thread. 🙏 :flowers:🧡💙

What a SE treasure, LKB! I think dear xincinsin has one too. ... and twins on Geographe.
Stunning colors @Croisette7!!! Unique, I think. Gorgeous on your navy jacket. Thank you for the comments-- I thought you had that Geographe but then I thought perhaps the darker blue... always love to be your twin!
How beautiful is Australia with the pale pink stripes!
I am sort of lamenting that I didn't buy this scarf. It looks fabulous tied this way and holds so many interesting facets.
Thank you @Maedi! Sometimes I luck out with a local boutique and find a good St James top on sale-- I almost passed on that one but it is pretty with so many scarves... And I love Hermès Flagship-- everything from the pun of the title to Rybaltchenko's little dog. And now I can never forget the starfish!
Thank you for hosting this wonderful week, FA73. I'm back home and can "contribute" my Séléné with its stars in her hair and some starry plant, I think. Also one of my favourite scenes with the howling dog. Wish everybody a relaxed weekend!View attachment 6200311View attachment 6200312View attachment 6200313View attachment 6200314
Welcome back from travels @darkstar66. I like that the woman in the forest has stars in her hair. So much to discover in this design!
Chorus Stellarum today, one of my four beloved 70s. It's too hot for the CSGM, so this will do.

One of my hybrid daylilies.

Beautiful! I saw some similar lilies on my walk today and I was annoyed I had left my camera. BTW @Redbirdhermes, I have some catching up to do! I only have three Chorus Stellari in my closet! This is the beauty I "forgot" to get...
Totally off topic with Academia Hippica but I'm loving this one so much I needed to wear it again while it's still fresh outta the box! In that regard, it's the star of this week's show for me so I'm counting it!

I love that! You know a scarf has hit the mark when all you want to do is play with your new toy! It looks great @EtsyBoss-- I look forward to your finding more amazing creatures at their easels and other projects...

Both are beautiful @Lellabelle and how lovely ITCW SE looks with your green top! Thank you also for the Flagship love!
Thank you for hosting such a stellar and inspiring week, @FA73. My contribution is Axis Mundi Mousseline. Tying it to show those stars turned out to be harder than I had anticipated
.View attachment 6200586
This is beautiful with your eyelet blouse @BlueLilac-- Axis Mundi as a mousseline must be truly something special.

Thank you to @FA73 for a fantastic week of hosting. I loved seeing all the stars in our scarves and in our collections. I can't let this week end without sharing a recently acquired grail of my own, Equateur 140 GS, which I never thought I'd find. This beautiful scarf is a star in its own right but it shines doubly bright for me because it came with the provenance of friendship. It is one of the most lovely things about our community that the shared passion for silk can link us across space and time-- not unlike the lines that connect stars to make the constellations. The scarf is undeniably gorgeous but friendship is the true star. 🌟 I'm so happy to share it here.

Jul 13 - Blue Week!

Hi scarf friends! As many of you know, @scarf1 (Diana) has passed away last Sunday. She was a dear friend to many of us here, and we initially bonded with her through her love of scarves.

This was supposed to be yellow week, but in Diana’s memory, we are making it blue week.

Diana was a scarfie (a scarfhead as her husband Joel calls us) to the end. In her final days, I was privileged to spend some time with her gossiping about scarves and discussing the upcoming scarf season. I am so sad she didn’t make it to the scarves hitting the scores here in California. She was also opining on the best colorways for other friends with Joel’s help.

Diana also really loved the color blue. She was more dedicated to the color blue than I am to the color red (seems impossible, I know). While helping Joel to look over collection, I discovered some that seemed out of characters (yellow?! Pink?!). Turns out, those were Joel’s choices (she loved shopping together!). All of hers were always blue! That’s just the color to which she always navigated.

Joel passed on a few of Diana’s scarves to me, and I am honored to be wearing one of them today: Maurice Tranchant’s Pavement. I am also wearing Diana’s bangle.

As Diana was diagnosed and treated, many of us realized that what we had created are real connections and real friendships. I think even Diana was surprised to find out how virtual friendships have grown into real ones, with people really caring about each other, celebrating life’s successes, supporting each other during tough times and being heartbroken when one of us is no longer there.

I want to take this week to not only celebrate Diana’s memory, but also celebrate the friendships we create here. I know many here become friends, sometimes virtually and sometimes in person, and that’s truly wonderful. Please join me in honoring Diana and celebrating our community.

What a beautiful post to begin blue week to honor Diana. She will be so missed.

I’ll start with one Diana and I shared. She very wisely sought it out when it was released, I had to wait years to find mine. I remember how tickled pink she was when I finally did….
