Three super pretty looks, @LKBNOLA! I especially like your polka dots with space shopping and that scarf ring.
I will have to remember to stop to check for silky goodness the next time I'm in an antique store. A ring from my grandmother was the only jewelry heirloom left to pass down to me after my mother's collection was stolen when I was in college, and I'm always drawn straight to the jewelry displays there, wishfully hoping to find those long lost pieces again.
Hope you had a lovely time catching up with your dear friend.
Thank you for the compliments and I am so sorry to hear about the jewelry theft-- that is awful. I cannot imagine the loss. It is not the value of the pieces but the sentiment and family history and connection... so sorry. If I'm correct in remembering, @LKBNOLA was the one who mentioned this scarf reminds her of the Leonard Cohen song? Samesies!
Reminds me of this little wooden sign gifted by a friend, which I meant to share after a comment @LKBNOLA made about her beloved porties, but I managed to lose the quote before I could.

Oh no! I am Marwari-less!! I'm still somewhat of a baby scarfie so I had to do a search, and now I see that this a crime that needs to be rectified. Such fantastic horse illustrations!![]()
Ouch, right? I see the hand specialist on Monday...sigh. Thank you for the compliment @Croisette7!So pretty with your gingham pants! ... and I hear you with arthretic hands, well done, dear!
Inspiring, all, @LKBNOLA ! Very smitten with your 70 flowers. How did I miss that one, I wonder? Enjoy your visit with your friend!
This is just a great post with fabulous examples. You inspired my day's choices for sure @Karenska! And thank you; not to enable or anything (of course!) but I like Flowers is a 70 and it is still on the websiteCompare and contrast - oops, no, that’s English Lit 101.
Complement and contrast. With color, that is. I suppose they are the same, although AI says: “Complementary colors are a specific type of contrasting colors that sit opposite each other on the color wheel. They create a strong visual contrast when placed next to each other, making each color appear more vibrant. While all complementary colors are contrasting, not all contrasting colors are complementary.” Well, I am not going to delve into color theory, let’s just say that we all love color and are drawn to different colors and color groups based on our tastes! My niece adores all colors autumnal. And given her complexion, she looks great in browns, greens, rusts, burgundies, taupes. Her home is decorated in beautiful neutrals. Just a stray thought.
Not only color but graphics, too. Color and graphics in our scarves can create the most interesting looks. Here are a few.
BdG cut up like a puzzle. This MTC has so many gorgeous colors. A very special scarf.

Have a colorful day!
Well, I can see that the DuJA is more in your comfort zone but that Petit Duc is a spectacular mix of soft and graphic and in MHO should be in your closet. I agree with @darkstar66's thoughtful analysis and like @Croisette7, I think it is beautiful on you as well as being one of the best cws of this design...Scarfmail but hmm.
Team, I’d been looking for this one for a long time so pounced on it the other day. And it is high contrast so - on theme!
But, I am not sure and that is probably enough of an indication. It’s lovely and I adore the graphics but I don’t know if it does much for me. Thoughts?

You definitely need a Marwari!!! I adore that design. Here's my newest: a bright blue one!

Thank you also for this beautiful quote. I need to find one for our bookcase...And you made me laugh to recall the Leonard Cohen lyric @SilkCashmereCotton -- I am a huge fan of his as a songwriter and poet but better to liken the scarf to a "bird on a wire" than the the next line "Like a drunk in a midnight choir..."

Congrats on your successful journey, @CoastalCouture. You always choose such elegant yet soothing color combos and this Le Livre d'Esope is perfect on you.
I hope your sweet four legged sidekick is resting comfortably at your destination. I have a special place in my heart for those silver muzzled pups; having an older dog is such a blessing. Our crested boy is 14 for a few more months, and we just lost our crested girl at 16 back in February.

Thank you! That’s such good advice. Not sure if I have any of these colors but I will keep my eyes open.Hello Maedi, all very beautiful looks, but I would never let go of this Brazil DD, so very beautiful spice colours. If you want to let it "pop" a little more, you could combine it with any of the colours included, curry, muted paprika, aubergine and even a soft khaki.
I was loving Petit Duc in your combination, admiring its lines and colors. Then I saw Duja and was more drawn to that. I think @darkstar66 has a really good point which also resonates with me. It’s a new look for you and looks great. I have a Guépards in these colors and its elegance and formality feel a bit foreign to me. Shall follow @darkstar66 ’s advice and step out of my comfort zone.Scarfmail but hmm.

Another gorgeous and reverse ensemble.Thank you to @Karenska for hosting this week where we have to figure out how to complement and contrast our outfits. I'm ending the week with the same complementary colors that I began this week, however in reverse. Instead of a blue top and a yellow-orange scarf, today I’m wearing a teal scarf with an orange top.
Petite Venerie in teal is my scarf of the day.
