Beautiful scarf and hydrangeas. You have such a cool collection.Another one of my contrast squares, Dans l'Altelier de Robert Dallet. It even contrasts with itself! I love the good outdoor light here and I thought I'd share some of the early hydrangeas, because, why not?
Edited to add: Twins with @Karenska, awesome!

Beautiful on you, @CoastalCouture with the bright and happy smile. I tie mine like that, too. It’s a bit stiff, this issue, and hasn’t softened up but I don’t wear it too much.Another one of my contrast squares, Dans l'Altelier de Robert Dallet. It even contrasts with itself! And a new cw of Mystère au 24. I tried this navy one when it was released but turned my eyes away because I was in the Blue Cell Block on Ban Island that season. But every single time I was in the store, I would ask my SA-- oh may I see that one? Or which is that one? And so on. Finally, after one last tempting mod shot by our lovely @EtsyBoss, I gave in... very happy to add this one to my beloved mastic cw. This design is so fun and has so many great elements from architectural to whimsical... I showed the phone off the hook for old time's sake. I remember rotary phones with handsets and actual coiled lines!

Thank you Maedi ... I thought it match the DD perfect.Such an elegant look dear twin and love your new poppy avatar.
Attempting a bit of contrast with my outfit today. Monotone gray with a pop of pink from a cotton Les Clés. I chose some tourmalated quartz jewelry to try to keep that monotone-ish too.

Such a joyful summer vibe. Whenever I wear it, it only seems right to pair it with these fruit earrings I found on etsy. 🍊🍌

Hello Scarflandia! We have safely arrived at our east coast destination. The weather has moved on and it cool enough today for scarf wearing. I only have a limited number of scarves with me. I brought mainly the new ones which are itching to be worn. My SOTD is Le Livre d'Esope which is fairly high contrast for me. It even has black and white on it and I think contrasts well with my monochrome navy outfit.

And here is my new-in Le Triomphe Du Paladin for @CedarWaxWing and @LKBNOLA. I know I mentioned chocolate and caramel for the colors, but, looking at it again, the chocolate color seems to be flirting with a shade of burgundy almost, so maybe I should adjust that color description to something even MORE culinary themed, like sea salt caramel paired with a delightful pinot noir with prominent notes of cocoa. Hmm.
Might need a snack.

...noticing a trend here -- I can't seem to resist an expressive horse on an Hermés scarf!
(And don't even get me started on my love of horse-folk.. ::stares pointedly at my pink Horsawards:: )

Compare and contrast - oops, no, that’s English Lit 101.
Complement and contrast. With color, that is. I suppose they are the same, although AI says: “Complementary colors are a specific type of contrasting colors that sit opposite each other on the color wheel. They create a strong visual contrast when placed next to each other, making each color appear more vibrant. While all complementary colors are contrasting, not all contrasting colors are complementary.” Well, I am not going to delve into color theory, let’s just say that we all love color and are drawn to different colors and color groups based on our tastes! My niece adores all colors autumnal. And given her complexion, she looks great in browns, greens, rusts, burgundies, taupes. Her home is decorated in beautiful neutrals. Just a stray thought.
Not only color but graphics, too. Color and graphics in our scarves can create the most interesting looks. Here are a few.
BdG cut up like a puzzle. This MTC has so many gorgeous colors. A very special scarf.

Have a colorful day!
Thank you to @Karenska for hosting this week where we have to figure out how to complement and contrast our outfits. I'm ending the week with the same complementary colors that I began this week, however in reverse. Instead of a blue top and a yellow-orange scarf, today I’m wearing a teal scarf with an orange top.
Petite Venerie in teal is my scarf of the day.

In my case it's one of my only two 45's but I'd be interested to see what you come up with!A perfectly folded and tied 90, @Teaforparrots! I must try this - perhaps I will get more wear out of my 90s in the summer.
Philateliste with your Evie and bracelet are wonderful combinations and perfect for summer. Mystère has added mystery in this midnight blue cw and you know my love for Marwari.Happy Friday all! A wonderful new addition, mesmerizing in its simplicity and nauticality (I may have made up that word). And hooray for red and orange.Today I join @darkstar66 with a leopard top, paired here with La Legende de La Foret.

I always think of this as my 'red' scarf. First glance says that's right..
View attachment 6193842
However, tying it today reminds me that is not entirely accurate, when there are so many other little pops of color worked into the design.

I reckon that's the magic of Hermès. 🧙♂️🍊
I'm so thankful for this week's theme, which has encouraged me to look at this scarf in a new way.
On to other news, I wanted to share with you all another recently addition to my silken stockpile that I'm super excited to have. This is Feux De Route Aperçus La Nuit En Mer (navigation lights seen at night at sea). I'm not certain if I have any sisters or twins here, as I can't remember seeing it before, but I'm still fairly new to the forum.
View attachment 6193847
I think I mentioned it before, but we're still somewhat newly settled in the Pacific Northwest, just north of Seattle. I originally come from the Appalachian mountains -- Asheville, NC for those familiar with it -- and, so, the idea of living close to the ocean is fairly novel to me. During Deep Dive week here, it occurred to me that I ought to add some nautical scarves to celebrate my new home region.
In one of my recent falls down a scarfie rabbit hole (there have been, umm, shall we say, several since joining this forum), I stumbled upon a photo of this scarf and it sang to me. The one in question was in poor shape, but then I found this particular one on ebay for a very reasonable price, and in pristine condition. So, what's a scarf lover to do, but quickly zoom through checkout with the prize in question?
I love, love, love it. But could someone please tell me about that ship that's second up from the bottom on the right, is it spouting water? Flares or fireworks? Help a landlubber out? Thank you in advance, dear pals.⛵
