I am so glad you brought yours out. It is amazing on you and love it with your jewelry.SOTD, Au Cœur de la Vie
Thanks to Nomad for reminding me to wear this beauty. It goes well w my aqua suede coat that’s not in the photos.
I have one more cw in darker blue.
Thanks for sweet comments to many of you, dear friends. It’s been a super stressful week and I’ll reply to all in a few days.
Stay strong and happy 💜
Thanks for the lovely inspiration on these pages. I ordered two more scarves online this week. 😳I’m out of control. But I got a good deal and couldn’t resist.
And I managed to get a scarf in H boutique few days ago for older price after all, because I ordered it to the store on time before the price hike. 🥰🙌Yaaay! It made me feel better.

This is one of those designs that when you see it you say to yourself why don’t I have one. I love faivre! This is a wonderful colorway on you. Brightening for sure.Good morning,
Decided to take a magic carpet ride today with Sur un Tapis Volant by one of the most creative H designers, Annie Faivre. Such a wonderful scarf and one of the very few green ones I have.💚 (Okay, perhaps more orange...) I think twins with @Coco2606 ?View attachment 6117562View attachment 6117563View attachment 6117564
Oh my ha! Brilliant hand pin!Good morning again!!
Now I am home with my scarves, I am not limited to the photos I got in the archive.
I wanted this as my sotd, but Unless Tohu Bohu Can be interpreted as limitless pre-creativity I am not on theme today so I added a pin instead 😊

Have a handy Day!
Great connection to theme. Very unique border color and picks up the earthy mushrooms so well. Have only picked mushrooms once with the help of another but find it so fascinatingMorning,
Might be a bit of a stretch but when I think of mushrooms I think of truffles and the very handy hands (and paws) that are needed to find, dig and clean the truffle before they make their way to our plates.

Beautiful with the blue border @Redbirdhermes! I became familiar with this design through a scarfie friend. The details are amazing! The Clever Hands of Native American artists created these colorful costumes, musical instruments, and totem poles.

I love this idea of a continuum from "fine" to "best" to "bestest" for our colors @Nomad!!! Forget the seasons, this is the rubric I am going for!!!Awe thank you, that is so sweet
I thought I was a summer and the color analyst determined during a very long appt that I am a Spring. I agreed. I need warmth, so a little yellow ( not blue) in colors, brightness and a little contrast that summer didn’t have with their light, dusky, cool and zero contrast. I am fine in summer so no need to go crazy, but I am my best in springs and bestestin bright spring.
It looks wonderful on you! And echoing @Nomad with appreciation for the amazing light in your photo, although it lightens the scarf, it absolutely flatters you to pieces! Twins on this but on me it looks so much darker...
I also would love to see the scarf flat when you have a chance @Lellabelle! You look lovely for your City sojourn and how amazing to have such a beautiful place to visit. I am a huge fan of urban greenspaces but this is like wandering into a woodcut print come to life! Thank you for sharing such beautiful serenity.A quick one, but on theme.
The Egyptians used their clever brains and hands to construct many beautiful objects, from jewellery and crafts, through useful objects and tools, inscriptions and writings, to intricate buildings, boats and cities. SOTD is Tutankhamun, which features the famous king’s golden death mask, along with other precious ceremonial objects.

As I was in the city today, I managed to carve out a few precious moments in an otherwise hectic day to visit the Japanese botanical garden and was reminded of the painstaking attention to detail, and careful hands, that create, nurture and maintain these gardens. Everything from the raking of the gravel paths, the tending of the moss, and the care of the plant forms. Bonus, if you look closely, in the centre of the pic with the open view of the lake is one of the gardeners. Pruning one of the evergreen firs with meticulous attention to detail (I watched him remove individual needle clusters). The light and the reflections today were remarkable. Sharing in the hope these bring a little peace and tranquility to any in Scarflandia who need it.

I have not yet collected this ina 90 and now I may have been "scarfluenced" right over the edge...Loving the clever hand that penned the poemand designed the scarf after it.
I felt moody today with All black. And this moody night sky cw fit the bill. Amazing how the back tail is the back side and still has lovely saturation. Love when that happens.
Totally enabled by our dear @Karenska with this cw. She has showcased it so well over time over the threads

I do!!! It is on loan to my sister in New Orleans. We both think it is so perfectly reminiscent also of the beautiful hand sewn feather costumes worn by the famous "Mardi Gras Indians"! On Mardi Gras day I go and park my car early in the morning on Tchoupitoulas Street so I can see one of the Chiefs and his Lookout Boy parade by in lonely splendor...There was an exceptional of this in bleu canard with leather that I always loved so when I found the (non-exceptional) cw I pounced to add it.Thank you @LKBNOLA! Don’t you have this cw also? I thought we were twins
Good morning!!
Historically horses are often connected to the military, and so are uniforms. Many scarves show scenes of marches, parades and inspections with both horses and humans in their gala gear.
I dug myself into an internet Hole of researching what parts of uniforms are called in English. Please forgive me for any mistakes.
The trimmings on uniforms are often called passementeries or possements, from the words of passe and mano - items passed through hands. Perfect for the clever hands theme! Passementeries are decorative trimmings like braid, cord, beads for clothing like uniforms, for horses or for furniture. The parts of the uniforms which are placed on the shoulder and often shows the military rank is called Epaulettes and are often adorned with fringes, rosettes and other decor.
The obvious scarf for this part of handicraft is The design Passementerie by Francoise Heron - screenshot, from the web, not my own scarf.

A brandenbourg is the decoration for the chest of the uniform or other coats including the loop and button, also called a frog.

Military motives are normally not really my thing, but as many others in here I fell for the softer flowery Brandenbourg Fleuris by Caty Latham and Jeff Fisher - if just any military action could be made peacefull by adding some flowers in gunbarrels or on brandenbourgs.

Thank you @PoliticalGal -- I love this cw because it truly honors the design but I also love the graphics and just found a "bargoon" in a neutral cw which should be coming soon. I definitely want to reach for this design more! All beautifully styled, as usual! I’ve let go of a number of scarves over the years as my style evolved and can’t say I miss many of them. Ors Bleu d'Afrique, however, is one I might need to keep an eye out for. I didn’t used to be as disciplined in picking colors that suit me and I never reached for mine because it was pretty but ultimately not flattering on me. Your pictures have reminded me of what a stunning design it is though.
Well, I have @monteverdi to thank for inspiration on this combination of colors. I am over the moon to have found it! Thank you @Nomad!Yes! I love these scarves. These art forms are amazing. And I am smitten with your America colors
Well I could not love this more! I was on the hunt for this ever since I saw it on you and finally!!! Thank you @Redbirdhermes-- it is just as marvelous as I hoped. Loving it on white with the red cardi (style idea 💡).Today's scarf is a "hand-knit" favorite. Au Coin du Feu is my scarf of the day. My garnet pendant was handmade by a local jewelry artist.

Sotd was not on theme but is on my brain. The turquoise Coeur de vie in a car photo.
And I apologize to everyone that you all are stuck on my color journey with me. I bought a spring colored shirt in the Fall and hadn’t worn it yet and after that green coeur scarf mail I wanted to wear this new color. Super fun to have such a bright unusual ( for me entirely) color in my entire closet. Makes me happy to open the door. It is photographing more banana yellow-ish but it is more like an autumn mustard color but with a little more brightness than that.
For theme I had fun seeing what else goes with it.
Fleurs de Montagne where climbing rope is made by hand.
Grand theatre (with matching yellows but the light shining off of it) where costumes and props are made and painted and sewed by hand. And Fleurs d’ecosse (which Red showed earlier) with its tartan plaid fabric and handmade kilt pins/adornments.

Dear Scarfies,
This week’s theme, “Clever Hands,” made me think of my Tapis Persan scarf. It’s such a beautiful tribute to Persian carpet weaving! I don’t remember which scarfie was the enabler (maybe @Julide ), but when I first saw this colorway on the forum, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I was thrilled to finally find it last year—a perfect nod to the clever hands that bring beauty to life through craft.

And my SOTD is my recent Fleurs et Papillons de Tissus GT, which made its debut over the holidays! From the Scarf Story:
In 2013, Christine Henry drew on the unique heritage found in the collections of the Lyon Museum of Fabrics and Decorative Arts for the design of her giant triangle scarf. The inspirations are manifold: Coptic tapestries, Ottoman fabrics from the sixteenth century, Lyon silks, 18th-century Indian fabrics or Japanese kimonos brought together in a pattern that resembles a meadow of flowers.
