Agreed! A great theme week for this beauty. Your colorway is lovely - what is this knot? Seems like the half bow but the tails look like they are done differently for some reason.

Good morning!!

On our way to Norway we desperate were looking for moose along the road, without luck, but we did find tracks from one while out on a walk. We also spotted cranes, hares, deer and millions of sea gulls. And unfortunately also both foxes and badges - as roadkill.
Yesterday at the harbour and in parks we mainly looked for birds - saw eider ducks, song thrush, wrens and shags etc, but also mammals were spotted - three rats (appropriately named Rattus norvegicus) but also a very busy squirrel! Perfect sedgeway:

For How can I resist a scarf with a squirrel on it? Well I cant. I Think I have at least 4 designs just due to squirrels.

Here are a few squirrels from au cæur du bois and casse noisette and Quatre saisons.

Today it is cutie day. Dedicated to adorable small, often furry animals. The chipmonks, the Rabbits, the hedgehogs, the mice. And as in Nature, they are everywhere. Let us see them!

I have made a little guessing game - how many cute critters can you recognize the design from?

Bonus identification: the bottom left critter is an Small Indian civet (Viverricula indica).

Last: thank you for all your sweet comments and for sharing scarves of critter abundance. I apologize for not answering every posts the coming days where I am out and about, and will also be on a boat without wifi for a day - but I am loving it all!!

Wish you a kawaii day!!!!

Squirrel!!! So very adorable. I think I only have one scarf with squirrels but now I want to check.

Hello,
I had the same idea as Jereni, to wear Au Coeur de la Vie during Critter Week. This design was and is not easy for me. First, the contrast between the rioty ball of "vie" and a rather large blank border but also the somewhat strange "coeur", then the fact that no cw seemed to be right for me. In the end I chose a very light cw, not white and not cream but rather like chalk. The "vie" is very subtle with only hints of colour. I still have some problems, it is not as easy to wear as my bright scarves and is always a challenge. Despite all this, I find the design inspiring and unique and would never part with it. Tried to find some furry animals and found some. In the first photo, a calm combination with light grey, in the second with orange to bring out the orange spots and in the third my "adult look" 🤣 with an anthracite cool wool, no-nonsense jacket.View attachment 6154954View attachment 6154955View attachment 6154956

Lovely! I feel the exact same way as you with this design. It’s so special but the extremely bright craie/white borders are giving me a bit of a challenge.

Running around with a day of medical appointments and wearing everyone's favorite goofy critter scarf: Carnaval des Animaux. I added this to my collection (after trying a few cws) especially in honor of my young niece who plays French Horn in her University Orchestra and loves the Saint Saëns musical suite on which this is based...

This scarf is definitely full of fun critters! The black hem is so delightfully unexpected.

Au Coeur de la VIe has a wonderful medley of critters in it!

I think my favorite is this lizard dude:

Looks so pretty with your orange top, darkstar!
Oh, just lovely @Croisette7! What a pretty Tropiques. I love the hummingbirds (of course) but also the little zebras...
Thank you kindly, LKB!
Such a beautiful and special scarf , especially as a first scarf! I live the dark red border.

Such beautiful colours for you Jereni. Wonderful design too, I don’t know it very well and I am happy to see it.

Oh I love this classy black and white version! Beautiful!

What a wonderful cw and great pairing with the striped top!

This really feels tropical to me, how pretty 🤩

This is a very beautiful design and a great cw too! Thank you for these ties!

Such a fun design. I love the dark hem on your cw. And thank you for your nice comments regarding my Precious Paradise fav.
Thank you, redheaddem!

Thank you @Cookiefiend for a wonderful colorful week! Answering our hostess @HermesEchidna call for the Big Three with my only Dallet, a GS, following the example of @Redbirdhermes (who, after UtW, might provoke an avalanche of Equateur!). Tied to show three critters of various sizes.

Thank you very much @HermesEchidna for a deep, detailed introduction to the week. I love the close ups of the little monkeys. I shall see what I can come up with over the course of the week.

@darkstar66 that Flamingo Party is fabulous on you and your pendant is sheer perfection finishing off the look!

@Redbirdhermes, how wonderful to meet your first ever Hermes scarf! Such an honour! This one is definitely a keeper.

@LKBNOLA thank you for sharing the sweet story of the hummingbird. Your Milles Feuilles de Soie is just right to go with your sweater. Very pretty.

My own scarf today has no animals but, I'll see if I can manage some on theme scarves as the week progresses. I woke up this morning wanting to wear this cute little scarf. Have been trying not to wear it too much since buying it a couple of weeks back. Here we have Bouquets Selliers:

View attachment 6154741

I have a correction to make about yesterday's SOTD. It did indeed have little animals! Nine of them in fact. When I removed the scarf later in the day, one of the little "flowers" in the Bouquets Sellier winked at me and I realized that she had 8 more friends, for a total of 9 little horses. It might a bit of a stretch of the intended theme but, on this little 70 sized scarf, there were 9 of them, therefore they had to be small. That's my magical thinking for today.

Marvelous knot, I love how you've tied this to show three distinct animals @FA73. While I have a few Dallet (I love his work!) an Equator has proven elusive.... I'm preparing myself for the onslaught of Equators!

Is there room today for one more Au Coeur de la Vie? My favorite furry creatures here are the little groups of heart faced gibbons. This colourway goes with so much in my spring and summer wardrobe. Here I am trying out the look with a new Eileen Fisher linen and cotton sweater.

Ohh la la. There is always room enough for another Cæur de la vie!! 🤩

Gorgeous! I love the blue-grey combo with the oranges. This design is one of my all time faves, if not my most precious due to the multitude of lemurs in it. I love how your last styling really shows off the beautiful speckled orchids.

Today I'm sharing the bouncy bunny on Tea for Two. The scarf also has an adorable tiny fire-breathing dragon and a puppy.

Tea for Two is my scarf of the day. I've added my Brides de Gala Applique Pique CSGM both for warmth and because of the amazing color match.

This 140 + 90 pairing is so inspired! The two complement each other marvelously. Twins with you on Tea for Two! I was drawn the Rube Godberg-esque aspect but the little dragon helping to heat up the tea sealed the deal for me! The bunny and puppy are adorable too.
