Today I started obviously with the same longing for something bright orange like @LKBNOLA 😂 My new to me Plumes en Fête with a lot of colors!

For heaven's sake the number of Under the Waves making an appearance these days leaves me no choice but to add another to the mix. From the archive... otherwise I would wear it today but I have a different colorful favorite picked out to go to a wine cellar room spring release event this evening where the barrels are all housed and it will be chilly there so CSGM is necessary (lol). So from the archives another favorite and quite colorful UtW:

One of my least favorite colors in general is yellow, including in clothes, and unsurprisingly I don’t have many yellow scarves either.

My two most yellow scarves feature blue heavily. And then there is Minuit au Faubourg. I do not subscribe to yellow and black as a pairing in general - too many bumblebee vibes - but somehow this scarf just works.

One of my favorite colors is not the color so much but a type. Icy blues, minty greens, soft pastels.

Cheval Sirene is a wonderful example, my SOYD. It has not gotten nearly enough neck time but I am determined to right this wrong this spring…

My first Under the Waves was the orange mousseline in brand new condition for well under retail. It was a must-buy while I continued to look for a 90.

My second Under the Waves was a 90, but it was pink with lots of coral. This was my placeholder for over two years.

My hunt continued for this colorway. The bright cobalt blue with lots of red, and all the other rainbow colors.

It finally arrived last year in new with tags condition. A bit over retail, but, oh my, these amazing colors make my heart sing.

My scarf of the day is Under the Waves in cobalt blue with red, and lots of rainbow happiness.

I love all 3 but I admit the fierce blue is just stunning @Redbirdhermes . You must be over the moon with this one.

. To shamelessly steal LKB’s verbiage, my recent scarf ‘color crush’ has been cranberry red. This more or less started with my first DuJA but then kicked into high gear once I got Trésors d’un Artiste. I don’t have a ton of pieces with this color yet but the obsession is still going strong so I don’t have much hope for keeping things reasonable.

Zomg - it’s already Thursday!

I’ve spent most of my day thus far (prolly returning to the same task after this teeny break), inventorying our cellar. After our move(s) and giant purge - I have no idea what we have or where it is.
And I’m trying to do this in the company of Mr Cookie - who is a great guy, but has the attention span of a two year old, and tends to put things away in the same fashion.
So - it’s taking a while and is somewhat stressful.

I need some H Zen. (No - I haven’t bought any H today… yet)
But some calm color zen.
In the shade of gray, but then

Considering I would not name blue or tan some of my favorite colors (going rather with the drama of black, orange, red, purple and teal), I do seem to wear it a lot and also have quite a few scarves along those lines which are among my most used ones.

I have heard more than one scarf friend say that Hermès taught them to love the color orange. That certainly rings true for me. I still am careful with this color but I have grown to love its softer side and the spicy colors that land somewhere between pumpkin and squash. I also love it as an accent color, especially with blue! Here's a bit of my orange silk journey 🧡 over the years:
A pre-collecting days scarf gift that remained in its box for a long time. I recently brought it back from my New Orleans re-home pile…

Sometimes, I style it "adequately", as shown here with the light grey wool jacket, sometimes I want it to be "dominated", here with a dark blue cotton shirt, and sometimes it has to be paired "rough", in the photo with an old motocycle jacket (hello Lellabelle and Redbird! 🤗).View attachment 6153758View attachment 6153759View attachment 6153760

Sweet Dreams is a fun design, covered as it is with delightful monsters. This was a men's 100, and difficult to find, so I was delighted when it was released as a giant triangle. I was so disappointed when it did not appear in my country. My attempts to order using a drop box from the Canadian website were met with failure. Apparently, Hermes was on to that, and really, really didn't want to sell me a Sweet Dreams. I finally found a buyer who went to Paris and picked up a Sweet Dreams giant triangle for me.

This scarf is incredibly beautiful, and has lovely colors with a few brights, but it wasn't the bright scarf that I originally fell in love with.

It’s a scarf I didn’t really consider until I tried it on. The orange is a softer melon tone, and the gray is warm… I have worn it more often than I ever thought I would. ❤️

Good evening Scarflandia - it’s Friyay, and I’ve had a day. But the office is under control, the taxes are ready to go, Coco has been fed, and I’ve had a large ‘bigger than my head’ margarita. Woot!

I wore a scarf today that doesn’t meet any particular color protocol. On purpose,
I did this. It is storming (again), there are ‘warnings’ out (again), and I needed a Happy Scarf.
What is happier (rhetorical question) than a bunch of silly dogs in a park?
Nothing… except me loose in Champagne - but I digress.

And because I have watery scarf envy - two ‘watery’ green scarves - one taken in Maui and one while wearing a top with anemone!
