BTW. I agree with who ever said you deserve a lifetime achievement award for your encyclopedic collection. You do such a service here by sharing your collection. You will never know how many people felt safe to buy a scarf because you showed them how it looked when worn and what the colors really were.


Thank you. You are an inspiration with your blouse pairings. Black generally works the best for me because of my overall coloring. I have heard people talk about how a white blouse really shows off a scarf, but it makes me look washed out. You are really really great at selecting blouse/sweater colors that add another dimension to your scarves.

It is truly amazing that the designers can create something that looks so different tied than from the flat design. Isn't it fun to be scarfie and talk about the features of a scarf like a wine connoisseur discusses a wine?

I swear, the smile is the hardest part of a selfie. These are great suggestions you gave. I had never thought of a bush helping the picture stay in focus. What a great tip. These are all great tips.

Many people have not seen pictures of themselves that actually look like themselves. IMHO, pictures often catch people at their worst. The photographer's daughter in me tried to remedy that among her friends when auto focus cameras came out in 1988. I made it my mission to give my friends really good pictures of themselves, because I had a fast eye that could see when they were in one of their most representative and most endearing expressions. The camera was fast enough to capture the fleeting expression before it got away. It was stunning for my friends to see what they really looked like. I hope you have that experience of seeing how much more beautiful you are than you would know from your experience with bad pictures. Good for you for taking control of this issue.

Thank you also very much for your nice remarks! Funnily enough, I love black and used to wear it almost exclusively. However, some few years back, as I was getting forty, and then even more so when I started working at the office where my fellow colleagues were at least 10 years younger than me, I lost confidence to wear all dark, as I felt that with my colouring (and usually no make up) it aged me. A shift towards colours in my wardrobe opened then new and fun possibilities for scarves combos. Now I definitely choose colourful dresses as additions to scarves, rather than the other way round
As for selfies, I don’t like mine, plus I usually take modshots in a hurry, so I choose the easiest way out - taking pictures from chin down

I think yours are fabulous. You have so much variety in you neck down shots. Different head and neck positions. Well done. And that is an 18 year old neck if I have ever seen one.

Great colors on you, Anna. Those earrings are so nice, too. You look lovely. I feel bad for your horse! I know they hate snakes, yikes.

He actually doesn’t mind the snakes. There is a big garden snake (or something similar, a non toxic variety) that lives under the barn, all the horses are used to it. The snake is a great pest control!

It’s really just the bunnies that are a problem.

If anyone knows of snakes and horses scarf, I will take that!
