Thanks to many of you for the kind words. I wore this mousseline today… I think this one is so fun for me personally because the design feels almost…trashy to me. It’s something about the animal print that always makes me wary. Maybe it’s just me wearing it with a giant Patagonia jacket (forgot to preheat the car this morning). View attachment 5926773

Oh if only I had a warm, funny scarf to go with blue and orange….
Grand Carosse Royal always delivers imo.
It is also appropriate this week as the Queen of Denmark recently announced she will abdicate on Sunday - and the carosse in the design is a quite exact drawing of one of her ceremonial carriages, which will probably get out of the stable for that occasion.
And also : fun, crazy horses

To the consternation of some and delight of others, the multi quote I started before lunch was (naturally) eaten by the time I returned. Office to say thanks for the polka dot love and everyone’s mod shots are a bit of brightness in a cold and blustery day!

A pop of pink brings levity to a chilly day (extra delightful having it cold enough to break out the cashmeres!)

Good morning, Scarflandia. I am going to join the Animapolis crew today with a happy new cw that I have long wished for and finally found (but only collected this past weekend). I think these bright colors suit this wacky design so well and, of course who doesn't love sloths and penguins and a blue Godzilla?

Thank you @bunnycat for starting this year off with what looks to be a very promising calendar for this year! I see several weeks I'm very much looking forward to. Thank you to @Cordeliere for acknowledging how difficult selfies are. I struggle with them too, trying to get the lighting right, the angles, the shadows, stray hairs here, wrinkles there, ooh that red spot on my chin is flaring again ugh those neck wrinkles. Sheesh it's like my mother is living rent free in my head still after 5 decades. And yet I share them after finding the one in 20 that works, lol, because you are all so welcoming and supportive and helpful with styling inspiration. I love this community so much.

Here's my first contribution for 2024 - Jardin des Peintres dbl face with the loud 'fun' color side. This scarf is so fun to wear. It was the one 90 I brought with me to Paris over the summer. I knew Paris in July would be humid, but felt I really needed to have at least one scarf with me! Sure enough by mid-day it was off my neck and onto the bag. Most days I wore it with the more subdued side showing as it is here on my bag when we made a little visit to the Sevres H.

I so agree! Now this has me thinking which 7 scarves I would take with me on a trip to Paris, i.e. which are the most perfect and quintessentially ‘French’ scarves, hmmm. Smells like a theme week idea.

I keep thinking is it Tuesday. And it is only Monday.... I'm already ready for bed, and it is 2:30 in the afternoon here. We've been through approximately 2 seasons since breakfast. Clouds and humidity, a storm front, wind, rain, sun and now colder but sunny. I started with a different scarf entirely, then "had to" switch to cashmere.

Yesterday it was sunny and pleasant, so I wore Le Carnaval des Animaux because well, happy colors and such a fun subject that was well adapted to scarf format.

My fun scarf today Le Chat. The first time I saw this one, I admit to thinking about a very flat Garfield cat that could hang from car windows. But I fell in love with the fun colors and versatile styling options! I may need to add another colorway... The original design is on my grail list as well.

@EtsyBoss and @Cordeliere , totally agree! Keeping up with the selfie game means my phone is now a gallery of scarf-adorned attempts. 📱🧣 I've become best friends with the hidden folder. It's like a secret scarf selfie sanctuary where all my 'works in progress' can hang out without making surprise appearances during family photo shares.

It's funny how our phones have turned into these personal photo diaries, documenting our scarf adventures, one selfie at a time. Here's to more fabulous scarf moments and to keeping them safely in our hidden digital diaries – until we're ready for the grand reveal! 📸✨📁💃

I relate heavily to this concern of scarf selfies showing up in family photo shares. My entire album is basically scarves now. I need to learn more about this hidden folder thing.

Haha! Only in my dreams! Even folding a scarf anywhere near Pickles causes (everyone- even MrBcat) palpitations. He has no filter with anything in the air and spends almost every moment when we go out in the yard chasing butterflies, leaves in the wind, flying bugs, and squirrels running along the top of the fence.
