Very elegant in this color, worn with your shirt and pearls. I adore both designs.Giverny was designed by Laurence Bourthoumieux in 1989 and features flowers from Monet's beautiful gardens surrounding the central image of the iconic Japanese bridge over his water lilies. The scarf is surrounded by a colored bamboo frame with a wide, solid-colored border and a matching hem. Here is a photo of my scarf along with a couple of photos I took when I visited the gardens in 2002.

In their A/W 2017 collection Hermes released a different Giverny garden scarf called Fleurs de Giverny by Christine Henry. Here we have a new interpretation of the famous gardens where the floral design fills most of the scarf, which is surrounded by a border of flower vignettes and a contrasting hem. The perspective is no longer from ground level, but is an aerial view. In place of the usual circular scarf designs of the past, Henry's scarf is based on a quarter section of a circle. For illustration I selected the Hermes photo of CW15 which has many pink flowers, much like the actual garden photograph above which I took from a second story window of Monet’s home.

Thank you Karenska! The dip dye is so beautiful, Bunnycat, and I love your cw of the new tattoo. It’s my preference. It complements Pickles perfectly. Hope he doesn’t steal it from you because it’s kind of perfect for him
. My, my, he’s a handsome boy. A face like an angel.
Beautiful Maedi!
Love the current iteration of JL. And while JL has been a favorite design of mine for a long while now, it's always been a little hard to wear (or downright frustrating) mainly because of the big blank border, the difficulty of featuring the "main feature" (for me) of the cats, and the problem that most of the other interest was fairly well hidden by folds leaving you with mainly blank areas or just foliage featured.
I originally solved that by getting the big CSGM so I could feature the cats and other creatures more more easily. And also the DD since I at least LIKED the border color, so didn't feel like it was as much of an albatross as it was for me on other releases.

But Pagni's reinterpretation this season neatly solves all the problems in one go with the addition of the stamped foliage. Border interest? Check! I can see the cats? Check! Updates design with the tattoo printing? Check! Pickles added for extra interest. It was Kiss Your Ginger day last week, and I am behind on kisses! He really wanted to just go play with his favorite toy....

That Heavenly Horses SE is just amazing @lanit! We are sisters on this charming design which never fails to make me smile with delight. I think that there are two recent designs that are a bit of a hat tip to this one-- Pierre Marie's Carres Volant 70 and Virginie Jamin's little equestrians on Passades et Serpentines (which also one my heart).Just two vintage silks from Dimitri R. in advance of the new Lunar Year. Galop Volant which was posted last week -and the special edition version retitled Heavenly Horses for an exhibition.

Just beautiful @lanit! I was also going to share the wonderful Petit Duc with this "story behind" explanation so I will just piggy back on your post. I believe your scarf is the gorgeous 140 silk version but I will share my 90, incidentally my DH's favorite out of all my scarves! Maybe it is the engineering schematics...I personally cannot resist a scarf with writing on it and this one is so elegant, interesting and fun in its concept. (Also adore the photo with your lovely RoulisFollowing up on @LKBNOLA’s post about JdO : posting my very early 70 which was one of my first five scarf purchases; the carriage design is so emblematic in H’s designs.
Petit Duc and Jeu Des Omnibus Et Dames Blanches. “Petit-Duc was a famous carriage designed by Alfred de Dreux that Hermès made its emblem. Christian Renonciat thought it would be a fun challenge to track down the original technical drawings from the period, analyze the mysteries of the structure point by point, and recompose the design in the manner of an engineer, complete with diagrams and front, side, bottom and detail views”. This graphic interpretation is one of my favorite H purchases this season. Omnibus is one of the first scarf designs printed by Hermes in 1937, designed by Hugo Grykar.

Love the way H accounting works.Thank you, @Living.la.vida.fifi , for a wonderful week of reviewing our favorite purchases of 2022 and helping us to go out of 2022 in style. Thank you, @bunnycat , for starting us off this year with our New Year’s scarf resolutions.
When I first began collecting Hermès scarves, my goal was to have enough scarves to cover the Scarf of the Day themes. The pandemic helped by curtailing many of my other activities, and I achieved that initial goal in less than three years. During 2022 I realized that there were certain designs and colors that I simply didn’t wear, so I began selling a few of my scarves last year.
My goal for 2023 is to sell more scarves than I acquire. FedEx inadvertently helped my cause yesterday by arriving on the last day of 2022 with four scarves from the new season. By my H accounting that makes them 2022 scarf acquisitions, rather than 2023. So, I’m starting with a clean slate as of today, with no 2023 acquisitions yet.
Still, let’s begin this brand new year with a brand new scarf. Le Carnaval des Animaux, CW09 in bleu jean/vert/beige, is darker than many of the S/S 2023 colorways, and goes well with the colors in my winter clothing wardrobe.

Light gray sweater with cowboy knot. Tahitian pearls with blue overtones. One advantage of winter where I live is that total snow cover acts like a giant white lightbox, making my pearls look their very best.
