Wow both of these are fabulous! Always enjoy seeing you on here.
scarf of the evening is my fleurs d’ecosse to tempt @Lellabelle with this design. I wanted to wear it this week too for the cool dot border. I am also wearing a new purchase of this Oxford blue top which I love.
I have realized that I can be too linear, matchy matchy in my thinking with what I can wear w a scarf. This black tous les bateaux has been a tough one for me because I was only thinking gray, silver, black, beige and browns ( I have none in closet). I don’t look great in any of those colors. I have never loved any outfit I have created with bateaux. So I played with it tonight with this top. Much happier. Lastly, showing one of my favorite designs grand theatre nouveaux W the fun pink hem.

Thank you so much, Nomad! I do not always find the time to post but I love being here.

Your Theatre Nouveau is marvellous on you! It has great colours and the pink contrast hem is an inspired choice. Obviously I love matching my scarfs to my outfits colourwise and it‘s easy when a scarf has a great range of colours. When a scarf is almost monochrome like your Tous les Bateaux seems to be, it can also be fun to pair it with a completely different colour. I think both a light or dark pink might look good but also orange, yellow or light blue. The scarf is so beautiful that it deserves to be worn more often!

Your menswear look was adorable and today's rainbow of hems is beautiful-- truly I admire your collection so much and enjoy all your terrific mod shots and enjoyable commentary. You add so much energy and humor to our thread!
Thank you so much for your lovely compliments. I am particularly touched that they come from someone whose exquisite taste I can guess and whose elegance is beyond doubt.

JL original wide border, who can resist pink!
Who can ? Definitely not me. Guilty 150% and not ashamed at all :) )
SOTD yesterday was Acte III CSGM
Sister in the same format and looking for a silk 90...
Hermes Story. I love love love this scarf, I’d love to frame it forever because I enjoy looking at it so much!
Nicely tied !
We are sisters on that one and it‘s a particularly lovely design with both funny little creatures and strict geometric shapes.
The more I look at the details the more I enjoy this design...

oh wow!! THAT fleurs d’ecosse is amazing!!
Yes - tous les bateaux looks great with blue!

Plain borders often get a bad rap but I think of them as really wide contrast hems

Joining the festival of borders this morning with Belles du Mexique-- a gorgeous all around folkloric border from the Southern Hemisphere! With great thanks to @Karenska and everyone here for a phenomenal week. As always, my wish list has explodede and it is not even the end of January... :girlsigh:

Another colorway that I've not seen before and it's a beautiful neutral!

One of the most fun borders: Le Jardin de la Maharani with a parade of whimsical animals. I‘m particularly fond of the little monkey leading a horse.

Twins on several colorways of Le Jardin de la Maharani and YOU also have that colorway I long for.....the green with soft pink.
Gorgeous shawl btw!

One last favorite border. This cw was all about the chartreuse for me. I just loved it! Not an easy color to wear but with the blue to balance and the way it’s mostly around the scarf, I had to have it!

Beautiful!
I want to thank everyone for making this week a hit. As the host, my week disintegrated with several unexpected responsibilities so I didn’t “host” nearly as much as I wanted nor have I been able to comment on your posts and offerings as much, either. You all carried the week beautifully. This will be my last post for the week unless I can don a scarf later and show it off. So I’d like to end with some archive shots of some happy hems and bodacious borders. :hugs: ❤️

Casual day today tidying the house but I wanted to show my dramatic Cheval Turc borders. Bold borders work well for me, for whatever reason. The one I’m modeling came first in my collection. As soon as I saw the listing online I knew it was for me!
