Not a hem featured here, just Grand Manege. This was likely acquired within the first 10 of my H collex (excluding ties, of course), meaning its provenance is early to mid 90's. I find that there's something stable and comforting in traditional patterns and colorways. On a day like this, when I need to unwind after shedding my courtroom "suit of armor" (or at least the jacket and tie), the unchallenging nature of an old school carré feels just right.

@hermesguy: Your white shirt collar provides a great contrast that sets off the scarf beautifully. Scarfs are the better ties for sure!
Just back from Bangkok! Yes, I did drop by the Hermes opposite my hotel, but they didn't have the SS23 scarf designs I wanted. I did buy a scarf from another designer brand and will show it for Cheating Hearts week

And I found something cute in my news feed. The late Queen was known for her H scarves. Here is Charles with a T-Rex necktie which I'm pretty sure is an H design: Pas de Lezards.

@xincinsin: Great find! I wonder if Charles wore the design on purpose because T Rex is phonetically very close to C Rex. That might be his kind of humor.
I love the stitchy border on M&M, a beautiful gift from a beautiful friend….

@Pirula: I wish I were your twin on that one too! Great border with the bright „stitches“ running along.
Severely behind on this week’s lovely theme and your posts, but I wanted to share my SOTD with its happy hem: Sur Mon Nuage

@GloWW0rM: A great hem; definitely a happy hem!
Echoing @GloWW0rM today with the bicolor striped hem on Sur Mon Nuage.

@Redbirdhermes: Blue is definitely your colour and your pearls are always a treat!
I don't think I have scarves that have boring hems or borders but these are some of my favourites.

Robe du Soir marble silk - I just hate wearing it often because I'm so worried I'll stain it.

@mktlim: Your marble silk is so beautiful, the most harmonious soft pastel colours. Absolutely gorgeous!
My scarf mail is on theme with the happy pink contrasting hem.

@MAGJES: And you have tied it to show it off to perfection!
Strong boarder, contrast hem.
Ardmore Artist’s Savana Dance.
A number of my favourite scarves fall somewhere in this colour category.
@Smae-ze: There are far too little green scarfs out there and yours is just perfect! Savana Dance really has one of the best borders.
A fun blue checkerboard pattern on the edges of this Trophees CSGM, a favorite of mine picked out by my sporty daughter who also loves blue.

@EtsyBoss: A striking graphic print and the different hues of blue are beautiful - particularly the celestial blue close to your face.

@EtsyBoss your daughter has excellent taste- she must have inherited it from you!
Zebra Pegasus looks great when knotted, the stripes look bold and the contrast hem is a great surprise. Your Tous les Bateaux du Monde is wonderful, it has one of the most beautiful borders ever. And loving everything orange, the contrast hem is just perfection!

Thank you so much, I love to match my earrings to my scarf. CI is actually two different cws but the first cw is extremely versatile and can look like two completely different scarfs.

Wow both of these are fabulous! Always enjoy seeing you on here.
Happy Friday, Scarflandia! I could not let this week of Hems and Borders go by without posting the gorgeous and fun Objets de Curiosite from AW22. This is another design that gave me fits when choosing a cw! It was important to me that three design elements-- the bees, the (Greek) keys and the trees-- appear prominently in any cw I chose. They are all beautiful but not every cw met this requirement. I cycled through four possibilities in boutique and online purchases until finally settling on two I actually bought in the store. This is the second of my choices. I love the pearly winter white, cooler colors and blue hem. Also very thrilled to be double twins with lovely @Maedi on both the scarf ring and the cw, and also, can't resist a shot showing the perfect earrings I received as a recent gift. It is pouring rain and the light is very grey this morning...

Love how the pearls pull out the white in the scarf. I know red is your color, but blue is perfect on you.

I have never seen this tied up. I have the 90. It’s very very appealing to me in a csgm in this color! And what a special design picked out by dd’s interests

Gorgeous marble! At least you took if our to wear. Baby steps. And wonderful classy colors on your baguette w the watch
Plain borders often get a bad rap but I think of them as really wide contrast hems

True true! These all prove your theory. I do so much love that hold border in lanterns twin :-)

scarf of the evening is my fleurs d’ecosse to tempt @Lellabelle with this design. I wanted to wear it this week too for the cool dot border. I am also wearing a new purchase of this Oxford blue top which I love.
I have realized that I can be too linear, matchy matchy in my thinking with what I can wear w a scarf. This black tous les bateaux has been a tough one for me because I was only thinking gray, silver, black, beige and browns ( I have none in closet). I don’t look great in any of those colors. I have never loved any outfit I have created with bateaux. So I played with it tonight with this top. Much happier. Lastly, showing one of my favorite designs grand theatre nouveaux W the fun pink hem.
