LOVE how you did the pattern mixing w the dress. That whole look is awesome. And this design is seeming to be a winner amongst those of you who got it. I never would have looked twice were it not for you and others modeling. thanks. The hem and that baby pink section you highlighted

Twins and happily copying this fabulous tie since I am your scarf ring twin, too.
There's no bad way to tie our beautiful RduS @Maedi and that scarf ring is a pretty great addition to the scarf jewelry box I think!
@LKBNOLA that RdS is an unbelievable colorway! And I’ll always adore a good animal parade.
Thank you @Snausages. At the moment, I am like you, actually living in an animal parade of my own-- not elephants but pups...

Lovely on purple @Coco2606 -- I must try this as we are twins! Another great great hem + border combination!
Attempting my very first SOTD post. I cannot figure out how to take a decent me in my scarf selfie, so I am giving myself a little grace for my first post.

In keeping with the happy hems theme, I wore my only design with bicolor hems (I have this in 2 formats). Unfortunately, you cannot see the hems in the photo! Ha! Failure all around!

But here she is. Millefleurs du Mexique, 140cm in mousseline. She is very floofy and I struggle with a good knot. Suggestions welcome!

Edited to add photo of how I retired it into a headband using an off- brand chaine d’ancre style ring.

Welcome to SOTD @MidlifeFashionPrincess -- what a beautiful scarf and what a perfect place for you to learn new and fun ways to enjoy it. You'll have many guides and fellow moussie lovers here to help! Glad you joined the fun.
Whaou ! The first photo could almost tempt me with a gavroche (it's the wallet that will be happy!).
Thanks for sharing. Considering different formats is a great idea
One thing is certainly true-- every format must have a hem or a border or both @Coco2606 so we are in good shape!
These are wonderful examples, Lkb, and frame borders are certainly a feature of the older designs. Love all but Rayures is just a colorful blast! Minuit au F is one that has called me from time to time, but I haven’t yet pulled the lever. ❤️❤️
SOTD with one of the best borders and hems. Pelages et Camoflages. So exotic and definitely edgy. View attachment 5688293

How could I not love this @Karenska? So happy the stars in the Scarf Cosmos aligned that day! (and thank you :hugs: )
These are all fantastic examples LKB! Congrats on your new CSGM! I love the bold graphics of it.
Thank you so much @bunnycat-- I am embracing its bright, laid back beachy vibe and strong colors
What a great way to think about the border - as a frame... not a border (as in Thou Shall Not Cross) and as a thing to be avoided.
Thank you!
(and thank you too for the reminder that I still have knot worn my RL gav... :nono: shame on me!!)
Thank you. I learned some good border strategies from you my dear @Cookiefiend-- "Be the Border" comes to mind...

Really wonderful colors and I love just sticking with the drama of a white top @Coco2606 ...
Such beautiful scarves and even more, the ties to showcase them. You could teach a masterclass in how to showcase borders via expert knotting!
That is the nicest comment @EtsyBoss-- it is a fun post-retirement hobby and a gift to have the time to fool around with my scarves, but honestly every knot I make is ridiculously simple to do, so a master class would take ten minutes max!

love this border
keeping my resolution of wearing the scarves I love more, rather than all the ones I am deciding whether to keep or not. But now somehow it’s all switched to putting on clothes I might want to get rid of from my closet  . I have gone from two closets to one woo hoo.
As you can imagine lots of oranges, orange reds, and yellows left my closet, just like my scarf collection shown last week. But this top is being kept.
Wish I put a lippie on, but oh well. Sometimes I feel like the rabbit in Alice in Wonderland chanting "Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be too late!"
View attachment 5688347
This is a fantastic Pytheas @Nomad and you have picked the perfect top (from amid your closet re-do :winkiss: ). Is this the Pleats Please knot from Scarf Art? Brilliant to try it with a "border-rich" scarf!
I adore that pink sweater in your first pic LKB. It looks soooo cozy. As you know we are Plumes twins!
This very subtle mauve border adds a delightful touch of interest to my blue Peuple Du Vent cashmere shawl.

I still hope to find this lovely whimsical scarf in this cw with that darling hem, @Cookiefiend...great on the dark green top.
Not on theme today but H - compliant, nonetheless. I have been absent. following the trend noted in a past weekend WSJ wearing cotton and non-H silk neckerchiefs (for men, the term "scarf" seems outré to the prevailing wisdom of the species). But it is nice to be back home to the H - 90's. Sous le Cèdre.

I meant to come in and ditto etsy on her comment. Your ties are so considerate to what you want to highlight and what you are wearing. That is such a skill you have.
And I sadly have not made the dive into my app enough yet. I screenshotted this from reseller forever ago. I always wanted to remember to try it with a great border scarf and I remembered today! I wanted to kind of mimic the pleats w the ribbed fold down flap of the (asymmetrical) top too.
I just did what I thought this person did. But I think I did the wrong accordion or something because I couldn’t spread my tails as well. For @Karenska who asked about it too

@Coco2606 these are both mouthwatering! Love that Zambeze and regret not pulling the trigger on it when it was around my neck a year ago
Good morning everyone! My examples today feature scarves where the border provides a "frame" for the design. Not everyone likes this feature; some scarfies have a strong preference for an end-to-end design and visually, whereas a contrast or "non-sequitur" hem as @Pirula has dubbed it, can be a charming, fun or dramatic feature, sometimes a frame border makes its own demands of scarf and wearer. From the small format to the large here are some examples from my collection:

Thank you @Nomad -- you are always so lovely and complimentary! I see on looking more closely at this reseller pic that it is a simple pleated criss-cross. I think it just depends on how compactly you pleat across the edge...but I love how you did it with Pytheas and you are inspiring me...

Oooo. So much hem eye candy. The white hem and bubblegum is so fun off the dark charcoal cardi. And I always love seeing awoo w that hem but My eye can’t stop looking at how cool of an asymmetrical black vest that is you are wearing. And I am loving your pattern mixing w Loti. I love all the colors in it, but will have to google the design because I don’t know it. Twins in Singapore and I love it so much. I’ll wear mine too

Apologies for two posts in one day (I know this thread gets very fast and full!), but this is my actual SOTD and it fits our theme to a T. My new puppy's schedule is crowding my morning mod shot routine, but here is Robe du Soir, tied to show both its amazingly beautiful border and its surprising pink contrast hem: two for one!

@Cookiefiend The border on this is fantastic. I rehomed this in the magenta cw because it had a lot of gold and didn’t fit my more casual life. Miss the border. Your Coco is so sweet!
I’ve not gotten too spend much time in Scarflandia over the last few weeks so will be trying to catch up as I prefer not to miss anything any of you post.

This is what I wore to the office today: Coupons Indiens, tying in the little bits of green on this otherwise perky, even joyful colorway on a very gray-skyed day. I love the fuchsia contrast hem and all the pinks and corals and mango. It’s one of my favorites that I purchased last summer.
