Hello does anyone has this in their collection or have seen this in person? I am really thinking of getting this but I can’t visit the boutique anytime soon to try on. I love how the color look like from the website-the orange color way, however, color says vermillon. Isn’t vermillon is in the reddish shade? TIA

Jese- Did you mean to post in the seasonal thread? I'm guessing you are talking about the vermillion Costumes? I think there are some mod shots there but maybe not enough to tell the shade of vermillion. The ZP triangle vermillion from a couple of seasons ago leaned red but it was on cashmere. The vermillion this season, so far to me leans orange on the silk, but I have not seen enough mod shots to say for sure.

A most happy hem in fuchsia and fabulously bodacious border in typical Ardmore style! Wearing Flowers of South Africa a bit last week.

And yesterday, I had another legit two scarf day! It was cool enough in the morning for Mumbai, with a teal contrast border that really makes the rest of the scarf pop, and while it doesn't have a happy hem, it has a happy fringe on the edges. I always wondered how they made these fringed scarves stay put, and being a weaver, my mind envisaged tiny, tiny hemstitch all around. But when I look close, it looks like they are banking on the stickiness of the wool, and hand knotted corners to keep things from unraveling.

Then in the afternoon for some visits to the various parents I wore the most bodacious border of them all- Sieste au Paradis, with its very happy bright pink hem. My hair has returned to its usual out of control state.

Wow all your scarves are really beautiful and look great on you especially the fuchsia- j’adore!
Thanks for pointing out to post in the seasonal thread, just added the photo for reference of the scarf I was referring to as I missed to insert it.

Thank you kindly! I would definitely post over in the seasonal thread for this. Someone may have seen it or have pics for you because we all know the website pictures are

Thank you for a very exciting new theme @Karenska! Nice to read you after your misadventures last week. I hope all is well. The photos you shared announce a fantastic week (I hope that Sieste au Paradis, Tous les bateaux and other grails will be out for the eyes to enjoy!). Contrasting edges are often a detail that makes me drool, especially in the "berlingot" version like your latest example of the bassets.
I chose "Washington carriage patchwork" as my SOTD because it combines both: contrasting roll and explosive edge!

I love it dear @Coco2606! Especially the edges! Wonderful design!

@Katharina Luise that losange is amazing! Love the pop of orange - it’s definitely your color
Thank you dear @Snausages!

Your M & M is very flattering on you ... and congrats on your new ZP.
Agree, this thread moves too fast and overloaded with mega multiplies, a fulltime job is needed to follow.
Thank you so much dear @Croisette7! And wouldn’t that be a nice fulltime job? Someone should pay us to finance our scarves!

Oh, nothing official with that word. It's because the first time I saw these edges (Space derby if I remember correctly), I thought they were candies called berlingots. That's just Coco lingo.View attachment 5686312

Now I know what you meant! We also have this kind of candies. I have to find out how they are named here!

I think these are all wonderful on you, Lkb. Cheval Marwari is a beautiful strong green but doesn’t overpower. The citron gives it point. A beautiful cw and lovely on you. I love green and definitely embrace it.
Speaking of hems, here is my beloved Acte III with lots of bright greens and a very yellow hem.

Gorgeous dear Karenska!
You know, I used to love olive. I’d pair it with pink, red or coral. I don’t gravitate to it so much, though. Hmmm.
Yes, my color preferences really are changing! Good to have company here in trying different things :hugs:
Thank you for the marvelous introduction to Hems and Borders Week, dear @Karenska . I'm glad that you are healing up and able to join the forum more than at first.

A number of months ago I finally found my first Sieste au Paradis, here in the 140 silk format. This scarf is all about the borders, and, as many of you have shown, ties and drapes beautifully. My scarf says it is gray and bright yellow, but I detect a lot of blue along with an orange hem, colors that I associate with Blippi. He makes videos for children on YouTube, and I can verify that the kiddos love him.

Introducing my Sieste au Paradis 140 silk as my scarf of the day to start the week. Glad I finally found one of these grails for myself.

Wow! That one really makes me faint! Gorgeous!
Love everything, Katharina Luisa. That’s my fav cw of MeM and now I’m thinking hmmmm….. your ZP 140 is spectacular! Congratulations. You look so warm and chic.
Let us be sisters with the MeM! And thank you for your nice compliments
A perfect hem! Chorus Stellarum in vert vif/rose/multi. I love this beauty so much… :hbeat:

Imo that’s the most beautiful CW. I should have bought it.
Still feeling and looking terrible but here’s a shot of the strong border of Selle des Steppes (and Bobby trying to get between my arm and my torso) ;-)

View attachment 5686471
I can’t concentrate on your beautiful silk! I am still laughing! Bobby is obviously trying to do the same trick my cat, Miss Marple tried to do, when the vet wanted to vaccinate her this morning! But anyhow your Selle des Steppes is wonderful!
Great memory @MAGJES ! I do own the JL bee jacquard, I’m not sure if I’m twins with @Redbirdhermes as mine is the hot pink version yet photographs more red. I struggle with wearing this one as I’m intimidated by the sheer white space but it isn’t one I see myself able to chop.

View attachment 5686496
Please don’t chop it dear Foxytrini! It’s gorgeous! You can wear these colors perfectly
@Karenska - thanks for a wonderful intro. Here is my Toucans, which featues a beautiful cranberry red.

Beautiful!

this is the "Waterfall Knot" from Mai Tai's Scarf Art App. It is easy to manage and I find it far less voluminous with a 70 than with a 90- but it does have the advantage os staying secure while showing a lot of the design...
I need this app. And a looot of training (now I can tell I have two left hands)...
I am sisters and/or twins with so many lovely silks already shown because whose heart doesn't beat faster for a bodacious border or a happy hem? Sharing an archive shot of La Jardin de la Maharani with its fabulous parade of animals along the border...

I prepared one for this week but in another cw...
all of my other scarves looked very “ouch” with this combo!
It works perfectly ! Nice earings too!

Wow - all three are gorgeous - but I'm loving your FoSA!! What a great color!
The glorious border of Zenobie.

:faint: Wow!! :faint:
Whimsical, I need to memorise this new adjective which suits me (thanks @Marie-the-Mary )
Back to work today. Half-punk, half-princess mood. SOTD, Chorus stellarum and its kick-ass green edge!
I looked at @LKBNOLA 's photo, but I don't have the touch (yet). A question of time and training!

this is a fantabulous outfit - smashing scarf + pretty pink and sparkly sweater + punk kick-a$$ jeans (?) = AWWWWESOMMMME!!

Apologies for two posts in one day (I know this thread gets very fast and full!), but this is my actual SOTD and it fits our theme to a T. My new puppy's schedule is crowding my morning mod shot routine, but here is Robe du Soir, tied to show both its amazingly beautiful border and its surprising pink contrast hem: two for one!
