Moving kind of backwards this morning (haven't read yesterday's posts!). SOTD today is most definitely a neutral. It could have joined in Sleeping Beauty week because it has languished for a time. I wore it often when I first got it (under the potent influence of lovely Mai Tai) but mostly only with cream or black. Looking at it again with fresh eyes, I realize that the neutrals are not so easy to combine so I took a page out of @Redbirdhermes' color philosophy and looked for another color in the design. The blue/grey in the peppers reminds me a tiny bit of my Jardin a Sintra so I paired it with a dark "peacock" blue. Also showing the camel pairing for contrast... What do y'all think? What color top would you wear?

Oh both pairings are fantastic! Very elegant with your hair and jewelry, I really love both looks... Although that dark blue/green color paired with that scarf is true magic

My goal of a week full of tranquility literally came to a crashing halt when I managed to hit a pole this morning while trying to back up. Been driving for 33 years and this is my first accident. At least I have a beautiful neck warmer while I fill out the insurance claim, and no one is hurt, the engine seems fine, just some scary looking (hopefully) superficial plastic damage.
Jungle Love CSGM.

The look on that cat's face is so stunningly rendered... beautifully tied!

Twins with @Cookiefiend on the yellow Plumes en Fete... Really amazing how this bright yellow scarf turns into a completely (IMO) blah neutral if I tie it this way

And sharing an archive pics of my favorite neutral - the super plain and yet super cozy H Passant CSGM. I love the contrast between the grey, black and brown in this, the alternating brown and black borders and the grey contrast hem.

oooo that's beautiful Croisette!
Spoken like a person who is comfortable wearing yellow!
Even before I finished the first paragraph I was thinking: “mixed neutral? I count three yellow! You then demonstrate so beautifully that even scarifying colours like yellow can be neutralized. Bravo!

Seriously, you show that Plumes SO beautifully. I love the knot too: if it is not named, I propose “the cookie twist”!
Thank you sweetheart - it is a beautiful scarf! :hugs:
That knot I learned from @primrosecolorbyakiko on Instagram - it's incredibly easy!
Off topic. Happy St.Patricks day for those who celebrate it. My mother is Irish, so I definitely do. Funnily enough I don't wear much green. I have worn this top once a year for probably the last 15 years . Paired today with Cosmographia Universalis in the blue/green c/w.

Perfect - and a very Happy St. Patrick's day to you as well!
Hopefully wearing the last of my winter darker clothes this week.

I often match my neutral scarves with my neutral colored clothes. That‘s what I do most of the time. If I put on a brown sweater, I usually go to the brown/blacks scarf drawer. No idea why I often do this. So I decided to turn my thinking upside down today.
To me, the point of neutrals is that they can be worn with tons of colors. Ex. Wear my navy blue blazer with bright yellow or red shirt and a scarf to tie it all together. So rather than thinking about my staple “neutrals” as my navy blue blazer, black sweater, or brown cardigan, I decided to take the smallest piece of my outfit (my silk) w it’s neutral colors and wear it with major color today.
Carnaval de Venise is brown n black ( neutral) w a light blue hem, which ties in the blue line in the flannel plaid. I don’t hate it. I don’t love it either haha, but don’t hate it. I am happy that wearing it today brings me further away from my matchy matchy thinking.

Well done!
(I would like to think that I'd worn my winter clothing for the last time today - but it is March. And we always have snow or ice for March Madness, and I still haven't recovered from the year that it snowed heavily every weekend in April.)
What a fabulous introductory post! That chart with the colors is very helpful. You are so great with neutrals that I know we will all be bedazzled by your offerings this week… Is the last shawl Pegase? It is extraordinary!

Hi everyone!
I am back, emerging on the other side of a horrible cold while engulfed in a lot of busyness…

I’d like to share again the last CSGM to enter my collection… I am in love with the glorious Faubourg Tropical

Lovely in blue! I think I have only seen the red cw...
(slapping my hands to keep them from heading off to Evil Bay)
I have seen Early America in so many bright and great colors in here, but my neutral sotd is a subdued version, of the early squirrel variety. I love the marbled effect and the mustard and grey but found it so hard to match that I have not really been wearing it. But this week’s theme dared me to - though with the loophole of a basic black dress. …. And a polar bear pin for dramatic effect :amuse:
Have a great day and a lovely weekend everybody!

This is a lovely cw - gorgeous!
:woot:
Bravo! wonderful inspiration. I will be looking more carefully through my scarves, and seeing if I have any neutrals hiding in plain sight.
Thank you and Yay!!
Two "neutrals" with strong borders today-- archive shots because I am going to go for the green a little later... And I am on the road heading out to meet a scarfie friend! Happy Friday, Scarflandia and Happy St. Patrick's Day! Luck 'o the Irish, to ya (looking at you @hotgalaxy!)

It is crazy how FenF is so neutral when folded a certain way - I have also worn it showing lots and lots of yellow!
Uhhhhh. Got grail-mail today.:yahoo: Look forward to wear and share in here, but for now I will just sit around and look at it for a couple of hours and feel happy.
Have a wonderful weekend everybody!

Love your Kantha, Cookie ... I have the rose one.

@EtsyBoss yes a grail mail week (love that new expression and it is now adopted!) Is always a good week!

@Ashanti_Rose you are right. I have learned my lesson indeed and take a SA's recommendation with a grain of salt. My heart skipping a beat is a much better compass!

@Cookiefiend your Flamingo Party is about to get added to my list! I love these colors, although I am not sure they will word on me as they do on you.

@Coco2606 and @Teaforparrots The potager is a design I dismissed when it came out and yet, everything I see a post like yours, it stops my scroll. Both gorgeous CWs!

Today 2 neutrals: a classic neutral with Robe du Soir and a St Patrick Day's neutral (he he)
