I’m not handfuls of pages behind!! I can comment on some. Exciting

This post stopped me in my tracks!! Wow the outfit you made w Samourais is gorgeous. And those colors in kimonos are tdf. Just amazing. I have a csgm spot saved for this exact kimonos.

This also stopped me in my tracks. WOW this intricate design on a cs too is gorgeous, and these all are just amazing

This is like a painting. It’s so detailed and beautiful. I’ll go google what this looks like flat.
Thank you Nomad. I will take a couple of pics for your tomorrow when the lighting is better. Indeed - the work is very detailed on it, but it doesn't have a "busy" feel somehow...

And the second surprise under the tree - On a Summer Day CSGT - twins with @LKBNOLA ❤️
View attachment 5920423
What a lovely and warm week we’ve had - thank you so much @Agrume for hosting and sending best wishes to everyone for a Very Happy New Year!
How gorgeous! PWH is such eye candy colorful. And On a Summer’s Day is spectacular. Congratulations to both you and @LKBNOLA ! This cw was one of my choices. I just bought the pink to see so please let me know what you think. Thanks!

Happy Almost New Year, Scarflandia. With a very warm thank you to @Agrume for hosting us through cashmere week. Thank you also to everyone for sharing so many wonderful pieces-- they are all so beautiful and as @Agrume said, they each assume a particular individuality with each wearer, which is so nice to see.
I would like to close by sharing my first grail CSGM-- and my most recent. I was quite late to the party on this format, but once I dipped my toe in the water, I was quickly swimming in the deep end! After acquiring a few in the regular seasons, I started haunting the Ode to CSGM thread and compiling "The Wish List." At the very top of that list was Parures de Samurais, which was a "gateway design" for me-the one that started it all. I am still a bit afraid of this beautiful piece and tend to baby it more than I should but my New Year's Resolution is to actually wear some of my grail acquisitions. We shall see how I do!
View attachment 5920352
And my most recent acquisition, which I was fortunate to find at a fair price, was another design I have collected in multiples because I love it so much. Introducing my new-to-me Ex Libris en Kimonos in cw 07-- a beautiful, lush, astonishing wonder. I am thrilled to have it. (Editing to add that I am pretty sure I am twins with @Croisette7!).

Congratulations, Lkb, these are both stunning on you. I LOVE the necklace you are wearing PdS and what a grail. Wow!

Your likes and kind words truly warmed my heart. It’s such a joy to be part of this community

Your Retour a la Nature looks so lovely on you @SilkCouture, so soft and beautifully styled. Thank you for showing the Double D scarf ring, I've had my eye on it and am happy to see how well it works with CSGMs.

Yay for all the Retour a la Nature love today!! Happy to be sisters with many of you! Were we sharing the same dream last night to reach for this today?

What a nice styling, SilkCouture!

AMAZING, but also what a remarkably adorable knot. Please tell us more!

So much to ooh and aah about here! Love the shawl, the knot, the ring, the whole look!
So chic twisted, lovely SilkCouture!

Twins! It is beautiful on you 😍

So incredibly beautiful
So pretty on you @SilkCouture and such a nice use of the ring! I hope you are having fun on your travels.
Retour Ladies - LKBNOLA, Yuzulife, Redheaddem, Scarf1, SilkCouture - such a versatile beauty of a shawl, thanks for sharing these mod shots

Dear @LKBNOLA , The way you've styled your Parures is spectacular, and the Ex Libris en Kimonos in this colorway is just wow – truly captivating! Feel better soon :flowers:

More later, as there is so much to share… but I think I honestly doubled my collection of 90s!!!
So... I was evidently being a bit dishonest... December scarf acquisitions turned my collection of seven 90 cm scarfs into a collection of fifteen!!! And I added my first Maxi Twilly (the pink Colliers et Chiens in the bottom of the second photo). I'm really going to have to cool my heels in 2024 - boo. But hey, I had some catching up to do. ...right? ;)

Five years prior to December 2023 (bottom right is a 55 bandana; 4 twillies not shown):

December 2023 Acquisitions (DA):

IMG_5324.jpeg

To be fair, one of the DA scarves is a color correction - my first Petite Main was never worn (by me, anyway), so it'll be off to find a new silk lover. What I learned was: I cannot buy a pile of scarves expecting to send most back... DH is a terrible enabler!!!

I'm off to have a lie down and think about what I've done...

As promised, a collage of the blue + red CSGM in my collection. I am very fond of these, they are my workhorses!

Paisley Blossom, Three Graces, Patchwork Horse, and my newest: Jaguar et Colibri.

Thank you all for creating this space to share and marvel at these wonders. I've so much enjoyed seeing all the beautiful cashmere formats this past week, thank you to @Agrume for hosting and Happy New Year all!

Thank you to everyone for all the good wishes -- I will be well soon enough and I appreciate the lovely community here and the distraction that scarves, mod shots and fun conversation provide while I am recuperating. And thank you so much for giving my wolf so much love-- he thrives on y'all's approval-- in fact he never met a scarfie he did not want to follow home...

You have a beautiful collection of GTs @Redbirdhermes-- sisters on two and twins on Folklore!

So pretty on you @SilkCouture and such a nice use of the ring! I hope you are having fun on your travels.

Two lovely looks @Jereni and congratulations on your new scarfmail-- that periwinkle blue is lovely and the center of this design is fabulous.

I love this on the pink sweater @scarf1! And I am delighted to be your twin on this wonderful CSGM!

That is a fabulous little find @Agrume-- and it looks just darling with your clochette ring. I never knew they made CS in gav size! (and thank you for your comments and good wishes, too!)

This is a wonderful parade of beautiful GMs @orchard-- I absolutely love that Maharani on your blue jacket!!!

Dear @Marta_K -- I am sorry you are ill and I send my warmest wishes for a speedy recovery so that you can be back to posting mod shots as beautiful as these!

Thank you both @Chanelandco and @HermesEchidna-- you are both making me feel so much better already.

These are both marvelous @Snausages-- separately and together! (and thank you so much :hugs: )

You have assembled an absolutely beautiful collection @redheaddem-- each suits you so perfectly. I can't wait to see it grow!

Ah, but it is so beautiful on you @Maedi-- truly. I am glad you are warming up to it-- especially since it loves you and there is nothing sadder for a scarf than unrequited love... :winkiss: (and thank you for giving me a term for my Awoooo-- "beater shawl" and for the good wishes...)

So beautiful and vibrant @Living.la.vida.fifi -- and three amazing designs. I was totally enabled by you on my blue L'Arbre du Vent. Your ring with that Zenobie is amazing! (and thank you!)

Hello, double twin! Looking fabulous in both these beauties-- congratulations on your "prowl" of jaguars @EtsyBoss!

Beautiful @Living.la.vida.fifi, just beautiful. Your Early America is particularly lovely!

Wonderful @GloWW0rM, Splash Park is the perfect scarf for entertaining kiddos. I just love the whimsey and bright colors.

Oh my @HermesEchidna, your Colliers de Chiens is just perfect with your beautiful broach. I hope you had a lovely time at your luncheon.

The perfect colorway @QuelleFromage of a lovely scarf. I love the green and blues! :girlsigh:

This is my favorite colorway of Awooooo @LKBNOLA. I hope it brought you comfort as you went about your doctor's appointments and I hope all is well with you. :hugs:

Your Grands Fonds is so lovely @Croisette7, the colorway is just beautiful. It coordinates perfectly with your pretty bracelet.

This is so pretty on you @Jereni. You're making me regret passing on this CSGM, I just love the greens.

You have a lovely collection of CSGTs @Redbirdhermes, and I'm ashamed to admit that I'm green with envy over your Sweet Dreams. It's just perfect. :hbeat:

Your Retour a la Nature looks so lovely on you @SilkCouture, so soft and beautifully styled. Thank you for showing the Double D scarf ring, I've had my eye on it and am happy to see how well it works with CSGMs.

They are so versatile and cashmere adjusts to the climate needs. Great on planes, in AC, cool summer evenings. Yours flatter your style and look beautiful.

Congratulations @Jereni on your new Voyages en Etoiffe. Such fresh and pretty colors!

You have such a lovely CSGM collection @Marta_K. I hope they keep you warm as you recover from your illness. I completely understand you wanting to keep your Colourful Cavalleria d'Etriers pristine, it's gorgeous!

Two beauties that work perfectly together @Snausages. I've just gotten into the CSGMs this year and while I love the larger format, I'm finding the smaller men's 100 to work really well for me, I suspect a 90 would as well. I'll have to keep an eye out for them.

Wow, it's hard to pick a favorite from this stunning collection @Living.la.vida.fifi. All gorgeously styled. :girlsigh:

Pardon me while I pull myself up off the fainting couch! I'm in love with both of your Jaguar Colbri @EtsyBoss. My SA has been trying to hunt one down for me but so far, no luck. I remain hopeful and will enjoy your lovely pics in the meantime! Congratulations on getting these beauties. :hbeat:

Happy to be Retour a la Nature sisters @yuzulife! That blue border is perfect! **chef's kiss**

An understatement to say how much I love your colourful shawls
During recent celebrations I've found them a comfort in overly air conditioned venues!

Stunning shawls! You wear those vibrant colors so well! And thank you for your kind words on my cashmere shawls!

Thank you, fifi!

Twins on these fab beauties!

Congratulations, EtsyBoss ... both are just marvellous!

Wonderful colours!

Thank you so much for your kind comment, MabelJo!

Perfect for you and Palm Springs!

Thank you, Snausages, and totally agree on the 90s. You have a wonderful collection of them!

You have chosen wonderful ones, your Bal de soie triangles are great cw’s. Safe travels! And kudos for limiting your screen time.

It’s splendid!

Thank you, Fifi, and your Zenobie is gorgeous with these colours!

Another JeC fan here, EtsyBoss! All versions are so beautiful.

Love the navy hem, YuzuLife, and thank you for the detailed description of your intricate knot!

Both are perfect on you, MabelJo, and completely understand your associations with Rayures d’Eté.

So beautiful in these colours, Croisette!

Thank you, LKBNOLA, and glad you are feeling OK. Your summer Day GT is very cosy, and thank you for sharing the 2 other scarves. So nice to see how individual they become when worn.

Mr Agrume had to laugh when I read him this bit. Congratulations, HermesEchidna, with your Leopards, and I am sure they will complain when they do not get enough neck time, so make sure you wear them often!

Fantastic - they tie so beautifully and I love these warm colors!

ooo la la - stunning choices!

I love this... I think I neeeeeeeeed it too!

Three beauties Fifi - but I am in love with your LAdV!

What a gorgeous look Croisette! Wow!

love love love twin!

It sounds like it was a marvelous time and I love the scarf!
(my cc is often recovering from burns too... :giggle:)

I love how you've got a lil 'spidey' leg poking out there - it matches your necklace!

Beautiful!

Cookie - you look lovely! Hope the stoopid cable co issue is sorted out. Representative! and hope that you enjoy new year palooza!

Thanks, bunny! This came in some great colorways!

I love Sargent. How wonderful! Thanks, lkb!

Thanks, dear!

Fifi- I first saw a moussie Brise de Charme when @momasaurus posted hers. I became obsessed and now have three  I will post another tomorrow.

Fifi, you are killing it with the cashmere. You have the other Faubourg Tropical I wish I had picked up. Beautiful!!!

Thanks, so much, Anna!
Thank you so much for all the lovely comments, and the likes!

Patchwork Horse CSGM is so versatile, one of my favourite designs, no wonder it was reissued, and you look so lovely in it, Cookiefiend. And congratulations in your new CSGT , you styled it beautifully, as you always do. Can't wait to see mine IRL after I go back to work and collect it from there.
For @Living.la.vida.fifi, these are my other two Brise de Charme. (Forgive the not so great mod shots, as I am under the weather and am struggling to feel human.) The first I have to thank @Cookiefiend for enabling. The second was the one I saw @momasaurus model and hunted for! View attachment 5920430

I have four 100 cm cashmere/silk scarves in my collection from the Men's Department. I find this size to be more wearable than the much larger 140 cm format. Beginning at the upper left and moving clockwise they are:

It has been too long... apologies for the total absence, too much going on with my business. I hope 2024 will mean more time to play with scarves, even though I still wear them daily.
Here, twins with @Agrume, SOTD, my beloved Awooo... my grandson, who loves all the animals in my scarves, was actually scared and stepped back when I unfolded this one.

Dear Snausages and Orchard
I want to send you a special thank you for sharing these treasures with us. I too wish CSPM were still available at H. In terms of designs and CWs they were every bit as exquisite as CSGM. I feel presently H is not as generous with their smaller CS formats.

I started with two of my oldest CSGM so today I'm sharing my two newbies! Jaguar Colbri in the beige orange multicolore and the Jaguar Colbri in the navy rouge which just arrived yesterday. They both have the same hot pink trim. I'll share more mod shots of my new navy one in the '23 season thread. I absolutely love this design. The only other of this format (I think) that I doubled up on is the Tyger Tyger which I have in both burgundy and navy/teal. I adore this design!

Magnificent design most deserving of multiples, especially with your CWs that are so different from each other

Fabulosity!

@LKBNOLA and @Snausages: Here’s the tutorial, tried to recreate as best I can.

1. Gather 1 cashmere-silk (100 or 140), 1 smaller format silk (45 or 60), and 1 hair tie

2. Start by accordian-folding the smaller format silk
View attachment 5919558

3. Wrap around neck, slightly off center, and secure ends with hair tie
View attachment 5919559

4. Fold the CS using the bias fold technique
View attachment 5919560
View attachment 5919561
View attachment 5919562

5. Off center wrap the long end of the CS around the neck going over the smaller format silk
View attachment 5919563
View attachment 5919564

6. Wrap the CS end under the smaller format fan to tie the CS ends together once.
View attachment 5919566

7. Make a bow with the CS ends

8. Now fluff the bow and fan!

Ta-da!
Looks amazing!

I have a home in the mountains above Palm Springs and DH and I go down the mountain for dinner quite often. I know the scarf isn't meant to represent Palm Springs, but I can't help but think of it whenever I wear it. I think it's the architecture, palm trees, skates, and pool that do it for me. Rayures d'Ete was my SOTD. I ended up wearing the cowboy knot so I could show a little pink. (Flat photo from the internet below.)

View attachment 5919565

View attachment 5919571
Definitely has a Palm Springs vibe… Also reminded me of the art of Raoul Dufy… Such a fun and vibrant shawl!

I am always in awe of how beautifully this one ties

Good morning, Scarfies. Not going anywhere yet, but wanted to share a recent photo of my newest GT, On a Summer's Day. I know that not everyone loves this format but I find them wonderful in their own way-- sometimes they keep frigid a/c at bay and sometimes they help with drafty rooms and often, they just look nice and are less bulky to wear: less than a shawl but more than a scarf! Like a Goldilocks Scarf, it is sometimes "just right"...
View attachment 5919438
Fabulous! So versatile and a great CW

I love this one-- had my eye on it but ended up twins with @Sacrf1-- looks beautiful with your jacket @yuzulife!

It is a gorgeous piece @MabelJo-- it look like you and I made sister/twin choices in the SS23 season!

So creative and pretty @yuzulife! Thank you for the very clear step-by-step instructions. Please corss-post it in the How-to thread as well...

I am so happy to see a twin on this happy and vibrant CSGM @MabelJo! I love Jadim's work and I think this is the perfect summer shawl-- I don't mean summer in the season sense but in the vibe it creates. I wore mine everywhere last summer in many many ways (shrug, wrap, top, pareo) a truly fun and useful piece. I have a similar feeling about what the scene reminds me of as I grew up in tropical countries. That's a beautiful area you live in!

I do not think I have ever seen this one @Croisette7-- it is stunning! The center colors-- the greens, pinks, etc are fabulous!

Just going to show some love and solidarity with my Retour sisters and twins and with @MabelJo on Rayures d'Ete! Happy Friday, Scarflandia-- can't believe it is almost 2024...

Each so different and both amazing on you

Good afternoon!
Prompted to post this rather fast by @Jereni and @LKBNOLA (and I Think also enabled by both - and sisters?) here is my surprise sotd.

I went to the local H today with an Old friend who tried on every scarf in the boutique. I on the other hand stayed on my virtuos path of near-abstinence and only claimed a preordered carre I have been looking at for a while and wanted to get before the dreaded annual prize increase.
But, guess what then happened? A certain double sided scarf of jolly leopards (abbreviated ‘double jeopardys’? ) jumped at me and insisted on following me home. I Think I have to let Them stay….

Both sides now:

We ended up being served champagne and the SA took our photos and showered us with perfume samples etc and Then we left, both with new lovely scarves. I swear I did not plan this!!!
The other purchase will appear in here soon as well - now I will go and put my visa in running cold water and Then feed the leopards.

Wish you all an orange Day!!
Wow! Congrats! It is fabulous!

I have two cashmere/silk losanges in my collection. On the left is Hermès Odyssey and on the right is Flamboyant Web.

View attachment 5919733

I am a fan of Daiske Nomura's work. Yesterday I wore his Brides et Destin CSGT and today his Flamboyant Web losange is my scarf of the day.

View attachment 5919746
Such fun silks! Adore Dieske Nomura and these are fantastic

Very late to posting this week. I have no cashmere in my collection as of yet, but I had scarf mail and H visits aplenty this month! More later, as there is so much to share… but I think I honestly doubled my collection of 90s!!! Here is a shot of my new Vallee de Cristal (cw 03) that I simply cannot stop wearing. I have a pile of photos of different ties - I’ll post to the FW 2023 thread.

Also a photo of our Christmas Eve menu - it’s a magnetic chalk board now adorned with the strangest little gift from my local H boutique. I thought it was a deer, which would make some sense, but upon closer inspection the animal appears to be a cat?!?! I’ve heard of Jack-a-lopes, but a Cat-a-lope…? Really?? It’s made of very thin leather and silks.

Belated Merry Christmas to all!!!

Ohmyheavens… It is a safetypins necklace! I LOVE it! And gorgeous with the scarf

Okay, I actually took off Vallee de Cristal today to add my one and only “large format” for this week’s theme. I had this twilly on my watch list, but hadn’t realized it was a maxi twilly until showing it to DH for approval. If only I hadn’t noticed the size before I ordered it, I can only imagine my hysterical laughter upon its arrival! But I spoiled the surprise for myself, alas. At any rate, my only “large format” (and also holiday gift) scarf - Colliers et Chiens.

And to whomever likened dog collars to jewelry, I totally agree! Our little Maggie, when we got her, HATED wearing a collar! So, after awhile, I started telling her it was a necklace…. (Yes I know… anthorpomorphizing and all that). But now she likes to have her pretty necklace put on every morning!

View attachment 5920214
It is fabulous! Gorgeous CW

As a year end organizing task I decided to inventory all my shawls, to see which I haven't been wearing, and if there are any colors well represented. No surprise - navy shows up a lot! I made a collage of the ones that are navy and yellow / beige as the other accent color. I also have a collage planned later for just the navy + red ones. And then there are the navy + other such as Botanica Grafica (hi to my twin @Teaforparrots).

My sweet newfie wanted attention right when I was taking photos and so I've included that because - DOGS! She's some kind of blurry monster. We call her Bigfoot. Amazingly though, she's actually in focus here but not the scarf. It is nearly always the other way around. She's a major sweetie pie.

Here are my navy + yellow / beige CSGM: Coupe de Gala, Trophees, and on the bottom, the more navy end of Horse Club and the more light blue end. It's like having two in one. I'm especially fond of the horses riding the sky wheel. Clearly I have a soft spot for navy and geometric!

What a lovely and warm week we’ve had - thank you so much @Agrume for hosting and sending best wishes to everyone for a Very Happy New Year!
These two are perfect examples of versatility and wearability… Tou wear them beautifully

Oh my… Thank you for sharing these… Gorgeous silks!

I have four 100 cm cashmere/silk scarves in my collection from the Men's Department. I find this size to be more wearable than the much larger 140 cm format. Beginning at the upper left and moving clockwise they are:

What a varied and stunning collection

It has been too long... apologies for the total absence, too much going on with my business. I hope 2024 will mean more time to play with scarves, even though I still wear them daily.
Here, twins with @Agrume, SOTD, my beloved Awooo... my grandson, who loves all the animals in my scarves, was actually scared and stepped back when I unfolded this one.

So beautiful!

Hello everyone! What a year it has been. I am loving these final days of the 2023 Scarflandia thread. Tomorrow our last theme of 2023 will begin, and because of the weird timing that the final theme is on the last day of the year, I decided to wait to start the new thread (for viewing) until after we kick off tomorrow. Hopefully, posting confusion will be avoided that way.

But the 2024 thread is coming up soon. I haven't forgotten  and it will be posted and locked for a few days while this thread runs itself out.

Enjoy this final upcoming week of 2023 SOTD!

Here are a couple of pics from more cashmere wearing this week.

Not surprisingly I wore my new CSGT (CS Giant Triangle) Arcs en Ciel but it was a VLM (Very Low Makeup) day.

And I gave Jungle Love some more love this week too.

Both simply amazing and so incredibly beautiful on you

Happy Saturday, Scarflandia, and here is the last weekend of 2023! Time flies indeed!

I love this week’s theme as I almost exclusively wear cashmere 140 year round. Here is my latest addition to my shawl collection - Silk Mix by Elias Kafouros, which was issued as part of men’s collection in 2019.

Happy New Year everyone - may the new year brings us grail scarves and many fabulous opportunities to wear them!

All gorgeous, but that Les Aisles is masterful!

View attachment 5920633

To be fair, one of the DA scarves is a color correction - my first Petite Main was never worn (by me, anyway), so it'll be off to find a new silk lover. What I learned was: I cannot buy a pile of scarves expecting to send most back... DH is a terrible enabler!!!

I'm off to have a lie down and think about what I've done...
You’re a day early for the Oscarfs start tomorrow on SOTD! It will be fun to review our acquisitions this year and ai hope you return to share in more detail!

As promised, a collage of the blue + red CSGM in my collection. I am very fond of these, they are my workhorses!

Paisley Blossom, Three Graces, Patchwork Horse, and my newest: Jaguar et Colibri.
