Ribbon candy in Sangles gav and Lifesavers in Pegase Pop.The green ribbons in Sangles most definitely remind me of the green-striped peppermint ribbon candy my grandmother always had at Christmas. Perhaps I gravitated to this design with my subconscious memories of my childhood holidays?

All so very pretty on you, Karenska!I do like it on you, Jereni. I thought I had a similar problem with my cw of Les Bassettes, but when I look at my archives, I find it pairs well with a few colors. Your scarf would be lovely with camel and creme, too.

I think both these tops are navy but they look black. I would not pair this scarf with black so they must be navy.

Thank you, Karen. My pendant is a Zambian amethyst cabochon with a tiny green chrome tourmaline accent stone. Design and metal work in 18kt gold was by my now retired local jeweler Stephen Vincent Design.Gorgeous, gorgeous cw, and with your pendant (garnet?), just stunning.
Xceptional week, scarfies! While sorting through my DS's old clothes, I came across a tiny alphabet tee with the best comment for the previous week's Xciting scarf pics!

Please carry on finding Xs because, as you know, X also represents the unknown (I'm looking at you, X files!). And no other day is as associated with the unknown as Halloween!
My segue into our next theme...
🍭 Trick or Treat: Candy Coloured Scarves 🍭
Plenty of Xs on En Duo as candy-coloured ribbons criss-cross in this design which I tend to pull out in October as it reminds me of Breast Cancer month.

Xs also appear in this other candy pink design which I didn't get to wear for X week: now you see it, now you don't Magic Kelly. And doesn't Rendezvous au 24 remind you of Skittles (although I prefer Smarties)

I'm quite fascinated by candy corn and maybe someday I'll actually buy some to try. The orange and yellow treat is represented by my Scarf-with-the-Longest-NameDe La Citrouille A La Caleche.

Sadly, I have no felines at this time and our lives are less full without them. It’s our choice right now in order to do some traveling but I cannot wait to acquire a new little cat child down the road. And possibly a dog child, too.
So in honor of the day (and the season, black cats being the witchy stars), I will share some photos of my beautiful angels who have graced our lives immeasurably.

29 Oct 2023- Trick or Treat. Candy coloured scarves. (Bonus points for matching candy!)
I don't know about y'all but I have been anticipating this week for awhile! (Sucks that I have a concussion and have to keep myself on the low..ah well...)
This week is all about candy colored scarves. And since candy comes in ALLLLLL colors there is no excuse at all not to wear a scarf that fits the theme. You literally can't go wrong!Major brownie points for matching Halloween candy and giving the candy example.
I'll start, then I have to take a break again.
I looked up top favorite Halloween candy the other day (before I bonked my head...) and found that naturally, some of my childhood favorite are on the "gross" list.
This Flamingo Party pareo always reminds me of Good n Plenty candy (which apparently I love but everyone else hates)

There there is the Halloween classic Candy Corn, which I don't think anybody loves....but it certainly has all the colors of autumn in it and when I fold this section of Marche du Zambezi, I am reminded of candy corn colors....

And I really love those crunchy peanut butter candy things. I have no idea of their name. And the idea of a peanut butter taffy makes me happy. And so does my favorite Halloween music from Squirrel Nut Zippers, who named themselves for some peanut flavored candy so here we are! Bring out the caramel tones like in this brightly colors Choris Stellarum (which could also have stood in with candy corn, but then I would have no reason to subject you to my favorite SNZ Halloween song).

Take it away Scarflandia! I'll check in for short burst again over the next day or so, and hopefully by then my poor noggin will be fully mended.
You look lovely, TFP, and what an exhibit - I just looked it up. Must make a trip to Boston when I am fully recovered. Your cw of Tulipmania is gorgeous. We saw a few Sargents recently at the Clark Art Institute in Williamstown. That painting behind you is stunning.I figured I should wear some beautiful fabric to the Fashioned by Sargent exhibit!View attachment 5885176
Thank you! It's just CW01, but with the pic taken at dusk.Beautiful! Is that light blue a special edition?
