SOTD was Dans un Jardin Anglais, to stay in the UK - Alice Shirley's designs are not super realistic, but she succeeds so well in evoking the atmosphere of an English garden.

Ha! I put mine up for sale on Ebay, but yesterday I decided I will regret it in the future if I part with it, so I removed the listing. Same CW twins!

The details of today’s scarf will lead you down a leafy overgrown path, to our favorite Mother Ship, the headquarters of our beloved Hermès… be careful where you trod, and watch the canopy for ‘things’…

Faubourg Tropical
“The first Hermes store opened at 24 Faubourg Saint-Honore in Paris in 1880, in a building of modest dimensions that also housed saddlery workshops and private apartments. The current neoclassical facade is the result of audacious building work carried out between 1924 and 1926, extending upwards to create additional floors and a surprising roof terrace. It is from this terrace that the exuberant tropical forest designed by the duo of Octave Marsal and Theo de Gueltzl appears to unfurl. Cheetahs, monkeys, and cockatoos blend into this botanical canopy, which also conceals the unexpected figure of the mounted cavalry man from the top of Faubourg Saint-Honore, who has escaped to the jungle.”

A very festive look!

Thank you sweetheart!

She definitely does evoke that feeling, such a darling scarf!

Thank you dear! :hugs:

Hrmmmmm
Absolutely on topic! A scarf based on the One Thousand and One Nights story teller Scheherazade must have at least 1001 details, yes?
Yes!! :giggle:

oooo - how pretty and check out those ropes and knots!
(I know knot how H does that!)
Thank you!

The pattern on Legende Moghole reminds me of woodblock printing. And then of course there’s the elephant hidden in the pattern - it’s much more visible from the back side of the scarf. Note the peacock - its placement really helps when trying to spot the elephant when looking at the front side.

Since it’s SOTD I’ve also included a picture of myself wearing it in front of my mountain laurel, which is just beginning to bloom! :)

Marvellous cw and the whimsical animals are so much fun! It looks great with your contrasting red top.

Off-topic, but would have fitted in with last week’s theme as I am wearing a top by Lands’ End! A lovely, cheerful scarf for Spring and early Summer with these happy shades of turquoise, blue and yellow: Au Pays des Oiseaux Fleurs…
