Off-topic, but would have fitted in with last week’s theme as I am wearing a top by Lands’ End! A lovely, cheerful scarf for Spring and early Summer with these happy shades of turquoise, blue and yellow: Au Pays des Oiseaux Fleurs…

These colors are so lovely on you, HermesHope. Great to see you! I think this is my favorite cw of this design. So fresh and elegant.

LOL TY for providing the theme stretch I normally reach for! Your FT is divine and the colorway has me swooning

TY and many happy returns on the DUJA!

TY and to borrow from @Cookiefiend this is absolutely on-theme! The details of the Arabian Nights tale as artwork is incredibly detailed!

TY and it is definitely feeling like summer already :crybaby:

Reactions: Nomad and Snausages
Wednesday is for wings, or feathers.

Starting with one of my favorite artists for Hermes (though he was not only designing for Hermes), is Henri de Linares. Linares was a prolific French artist whose work consists of extremely detailed natural still life studies. He also actively contributed to the creation of the Musée de la Chasse à Tir et la Fauconnerie, he was the first curator. He exhibited his work at The Winter Salon in 1949, and published a book Beautés de la Chasse in 1970.

Another fabulous feathery scarf is by Aline Honore - Plumes en Fete.
“In a tribute to nature, its beauty and its infinite creativity, Aline Honoré draws us into a vortex, a whirling crown of feathers. Perfectly reproduced or entirely imaginary, they echo the ceremonial or the celebratory adornments they can inspire. For protection, seduction or camouflage, the beauty of the feathers emanate from their function. Guinea fowl, bird-of-paradise, partridges, pheasants, manucodes, parrots... birds from all over the world lend their quill and down feathers to the artist, who magnifies and reinvents them.”

Lovely blues in both scarves - and these are stunning trousers, with palm trees, amazing!

The details of today’s scarf will lead you down a leafy overgrown path, to our favorite Mother Ship, the headquarters of our beloved Hermès… be careful where you trod, and watch the canopy for ‘things’…

Faubourg Tropical
“The first Hermes store opened at 24 Faubourg Saint-Honore in Paris in 1880, in a building of modest dimensions that also housed saddlery workshops and private apartments. The current neoclassical facade is the result of audacious building work carried out between 1924 and 1926, extending upwards to create additional floors and a surprising roof terrace. It is from this terrace that the exuberant tropical forest designed by the duo of Octave Marsal and Theo de Gueltzl appears to unfurl. Cheetahs, monkeys, and cockatoos blend into this botanical canopy, which also conceals the unexpected figure of the mounted cavalry man from the top of Faubourg Saint-Honore, who has escaped to the jungle.”

Terrific, Cookie!

Thank you sweetheart!

She definitely does evoke that feeling, such a darling scarf!

Thank you dear! :hugs:

Hrmmmmm
Absolutely on topic! A scarf based on the One Thousand and One Nights story teller Scheherazade must have at least 1001 details, yes?
Yes!! :giggle:

oooo - how pretty and check out those ropes and knots!
(I know knot how H does that!)
Thank you, Cookie!

Ha! I put mine up for sale on Ebay, but yesterday I decided I will regret it in the future if I part with it, so I removed the listing. Same CW twins!
Hello twin and good that you kept it, you would have regretted indeed!

Off-topic, but would have fitted in with last week’s theme as I am wearing a top by Lands’ End! A lovely, cheerful scarf for Spring and early Summer with these happy shades of turquoise, blue and yellow: Au Pays des Oiseaux Fleurs…

Such a nice outfit in those colours! Truly spring!

The pattern on Legende Moghole reminds me of woodblock printing. And then of course there’s the elephant hidden in the pattern - it’s much more visible from the back side of the scarf. Note the peacock - its placement really helps when trying to spot the elephant when looking at the front side.

Since it’s SOTD I’ve also included a picture of myself wearing it in front of my mountain laurel, which is just beginning to bloom!
