Wednesday's scarf of the day - Alice Shirley's Into the Wild. Happy to have scored this colorway years ago when it first came out. Happy to see all of the wonderful Canadian arctic animals hiding in the design. Happy that the Northern Lights are there in there surreal green glow reminding me of the time I flew them on an Emirates flight over the North Pole. A flight attendant woke us up to ask if my 4 year old daughter and I would like to see them. Yessssss! I will always treasure the long, long view we had and reminisce fondly whenever I wear this. I think I need a better color top to make the colors pop though. Maybe pink! And I desperately need to improve my tying skills, eeeeek.View attachment 5288726View attachment 5288727
Beautiful scarf & memory with your little one. Great match with the top!

Thank you. I'm still wearing the Carnaval but added a few layers for serious outdoor play. Scarf is a wooly OSKA from several seasons ago. I finally purchased an H losange to wear outside, but I'm not ready to subject it to all the velcro snagging it will get from my parka. GS is 17 months old today.

Red thanks for sharing him with us. I feel like he’s growing up before our very eyes. Lovely pic and outfit on both of you !

Thank you Fifi.
The special edition was issued in support of The Friends of the French Institute in London in a unique colourway - bleu turquoise/gris bleuté/vert, cw 16.
Congrats orchard we are twins! I won’t see mine for a long time as my bestie in the UK has it and refuses to trust FedEx lol. You should add the mod shots to the special edition thread!

Well, today I received some very special mail in a most vibrant and happy colorway - bright lime green border with shades of gold, taupe, grey and soft turquoise making up the design and frame. I had purchased a turquoise cw of this design a few months ago but was unsatisfied with the condition so back it went. It was a blessing because I just love this bright green version, which is in a beautifully crisp vintage condition. First, my brother gave me a cash gift for Christmas to use towards the next scarf purchase. He loves boating, ships and anything maritime. Second, the acquisition was of a personal and kind nature from a new friend. I don’t have a scarf with this color in my collection, and I am forever fascinated with medieval English and French history, so it is a most important and special addition to my collection. Les Normands by Philippe Ledoux. :hbeat: And with my mother of pearl St Germain CdA which is a perfect match.

The bright colors and whimsical designs are undeniably happy. But you know, a good neutral makes this scarfie's heart beat faster, too! For this afternoon's class I ZOOM in a lovely (mostly) neutral (orange hem!) Magic Kelly:

Elegant! The styling of your blouse, sweater and jewellery, simply lovely. I am patiently waiting for a neutral which will suit me as well.

Four of my happiest scarves… due to their designs and colors, they always make me smile…
La Maison des Carres… all those little people are either working on creating a carré or simply frolicking in and around La Maison… What could be more jolly and fun?

Through the years, Ex Libris a Carreaux has remained a favorite and one of the no-brainers I reach for the most… It has such an upbeat energy

Quadrige Costume to me is like a carnival

The fashionable central couple of Duo Cosmique look like party animals and the fabulous kimono patterns and animals seem to join in the cosmic dance. Lively, dynamic and a riot of fun

Fifi, I adore that Maison des Carres. I passed on it as a csgm, but I love it as a silk.
