Wednesday's scarf of the day - Alice Shirley's Into the Wild. Happy to have scored this colorway years ago when it first came out. Happy to see all of the wonderful Canadian arctic animals hiding in the design. Happy that the Northern Lights are there in there surreal green glow reminding me of the time I flew them on an Emirates flight over the North Pole. A flight attendant woke us up to ask if my 4 year old daughter and I would like to see them. Yessssss! I will always treasure the long, long view we had and reminisce fondly whenever I wear this. I think I need a better color top to make the colors pop though. Maybe pink! And I desperately need to improve my tying skills, eeeeek.View attachment 5288726View attachment 5288727
What a marvelous story and event, EtsyBoss. And your scarf and tying are both faab. I love it with your evergreen top. Just perfection.

Love Into the Canadian Wild and your pairing with the hunter green top. I have this scarf in the dark cw 08 Vert/brun/jaune with a black background because of the northern lights which appear in it (also have the SE Canada 150 of course!). I bought the 2nd cw because it also reminded me of the Northern Lights DH & I saw when we were flying late at night over the pole to Europe. The green aurora was dancing in a circle around the pole below us as we flew at 35,000 ft. Now if we fly over the pole we always ask the flight attendants to wake us up if it's visible - but we've never been lucky enough to see it again from a plane. Here's my colourway with aurora in dark greens against the night sky with stars.

That colorway is stunning too! What a marvelous design. I sooooo hope Alice Shirley comes back to Hermes. She makes the most magical designs. I've only ever seen the Northern Lights that one time too, from the plane. But gosh, what magic!
When I met her 3 years ago, she was working on a big cats design for H. And H had arranged for her to go on a tour of several wildlife habitats in Singapore. About 2 years after that, H issued Wild Singapore. So I'm hoping the big cats proposal is coming to fruition.

@Cookiefiend, one of the places Alice Shirley visited was a wetlands. Right up your alley as it has lots of birds and is a stop on seasonal migration routes.
It appears also that Singapore is a landing pad for lost migratory vultures

Oooh! There is a lion in her Wild Singapore design so maybe that's what that was about. If there is a new one in the pipeline, that would be amazing!

The ultimate HAPPY scarf. Just Beautiful Croisette!
Thanks everyone for the beautiful photos. I have added quite a few new scarves in 2021, all of them make me feel happy. I have spent the last couple of hours, trying on, photographing and evaluating my small collection. This process has enabled me to see the colours and formats missing or overrepresented.
Clair de lune, beautiful free horse frolicking in the moonlight. Hermes tea time, such a happy pair riding the little horse.

Your Clair de Lune is stunning!
Did art class in elementary school make you happy? If so, I have the scarf for you! Warming up the day with some primary colors (and a sweater encouraged by @turfnsurf, who inspires me to try more brights :winkiss: ) SOTD is A Vos Crayons.

A Vos Crayons in Noir is incredible. The colorful “happy” crayons pop against the black backdrop.
I will catch up later today. Not particularly on theme, although wearing scarves makes me happy in general. BdG shadow. Neutrals true to form @Nomad!View attachment 5288522
The best colorway and it ties so beautifully!

Whenever I need to lift my spirits, I reach for my L’Arbre du Vent… both my 90 and my shawl which I own in this vibrant fuchsia CW… Such a happy design

And, the riot of colors and patterns of this Voyage du Pytheas also always makes me happy

Must admit that, like @Cookiefiend, feathers make me happy and I find them so festive! Especially Toutsy feathers as in Carnival des Oiseaux… even the title says it’s a carnival! Chosen for the most festive occasions this past year

And, there’s no party like a Flamingo Party… I am obsessed with this festive design, owning several CWs in both 90 and CSGM form… This is my latest one

And, one of my happiest scarves is my orange Plumes en Fete

Beautiful Knots and Twins on your 90s! What a beautiful colorway of Carnival des Oiseaux.

Alice Shirley makes me happy! And I’m happy it’s still cold enough to wear cashmeres.

My favorite colorway!
Today’s SOTD - a very happy scarf from last year. Exposition universal is View attachment 5288755
Hello Twins! I love this happy and unusual colorway.

Also, just for fun, I'm posting a pic from our recent vacation to Hawaii. I started the day wearing my Equateur wash silk in the traditional way. Later, we were touring a coffee farm. It was hot and sunny so I did like the Hermes models and tied it around my head. I don't know that I've ever done that before but it worked pretty well to keep me from getting sunburned. LOLView attachment 5288945
I LOVE the wash scarves and am sad that they have been discontinued after this season. :crybaby: We are twins with this lovely Bleu Azur Equateur.

The bright colors and whimsical designs are undeniably happy. But you know, a good neutral makes this scarfie's heart beat faster, too! For this afternoon's class I ZOOM in a lovely (mostly) neutral (orange hem!) Magic Kelly:

Great look LKB! I “almost“ purchased this very elegant colorway a while back. The orange hem surrounding the milky gray silk
is perfection.
New scarves make me happy! I just received the 2022 SS Sous l'Egide wash scarf so here is a quick bathroom shot. I have the Equateur wash scarf and it is so wearable. I love the texture of the wash scarves.

Beautiful! I have one on the way in a different colorway.

Well, today I received some very special mail in a most vibrant and happy colorway - bright lime green border with shades of gold, taupe, grey and soft turquoise making up the design and frame. I had purchased a turquoise cw of this design a few months ago but was unsatisfied with the condition so back it went. It was a blessing because I just love this bright green version, which is in a beautifully crisp vintage condition. First, my brother gave me a cash gift for Christmas to use towards the next scarf purchase. He loves boating, ships and anything maritime. Second, the acquisition was of a personal and kind nature from a new friend. I don’t have a scarf with this color in my collection, and I am forever fascinated with medieval English and French history, so it is a most important and special addition to my collection. Les Normands by Philippe Ledoux. :hbeat: And with my mother of pearl St Germain CdA which is a perfect match.

Lucky Lady!! What a beauty!!

5 happy things. 1. Updating my scarf cataloguing from the past few months of shopping 2. Scarf mail received on 12/30/21 - my last H acquisition of 2021 3. Charming details on scarves such as this couple 4. My little clamoring to be the model for the mod shot I was about to take. 5. No pics for my gratitude but happy and appreciative of the scarf mistresses and the lovely posters in this thread. My thanks for making these last 2 years of my H scarf journey so fun-filled and educational. My wallet says otherwise though lol

She wears it so beautifully!

Scarf mail today and I'm very happy to finally have the fairy cake scarf L'ivresse de l'Infini. And delighted that the chaos in shades of pink and red is corralled by a beautiful grey contrast hem  Rocking home on the subway after a long day at work with a brief evening stop at H where I picked up my first SS22 design.

L'ivresse de l'Infini in red is really pretty! What a wonderful find!
