I always love wrapping up the end of year with a good look at my own collection and also love seeing everyone’s new pieces. It’s such a fun week!
I brought in 35 scarves this year, 26 exited my collection to new homes. I have a lot more to go to new homes still :hrmm:. My plan is to release an older piece in my collection if I bring in a new piece, in an attempt to really hone my collection to those I ReAlLy love and can’t live without. I got MANY grails this year, which is super exciting, even if overwhelming :-0.
5 are from the 2022 seasons ( I think. I get confused sometimes based on how late I can get my hands on scarves sometimes). lanterns, chorus, becanes, double face passades, and marble doll twilly I have no photo of. 1 I bought in 2022, but is from 2021 I think, tea time. 2 are older designs that popped on h.com this year, farniente pareo ( my only pareo) and kachinas wash ( my only wash).

That's a formidable plan. If only I could tear some of my lesser worn designs off my heart.:)

Forgive me Scarflandia for I have not posted in weeks! Life has been getting in the way (many of you can relate to ill parents, visiting relatives, the passing of a beloved pet, the addition of new pets) and once a day gets away from me it’s impossible to keep up beyond hitting the like button. Le sigh.

Things are settling down and my heavens I have enough fodder to post several new-ins every day this week (three cheers for retail therapy!).

I started the year adding L’Ivresse, DUJA and Premier Chant

Wow, @Snausages! You certainly have had a time of it. I hope life becomes more smooth for you soon and I’m especially sorry to read about your ill parents (same thing for me with my mother) and the passing of your beloved pet. Heartfelt condolences. Love your first three additions for 2022. Twins on the Le Premiere Chant.

Hello everyone

I take this opportunity to wish you all a very merry Christmas . I am new here, having purchased my first scarf just a few months ago. I am very happy to have found this wonderful forum.

Today, I am wearing my third and most recent cashmere shawl, Botanica Grafica cw 02.

I tried to take a decent picture, realising I do need some more experience tying my shawls

Joyeux Noël!!

Edit: if anyone knows how to get my picture straight, I will be very grateful ☺️

Fabulous!! Congratulations, redheaddem, it’s spectacular and very festive!

Thank you LKB ... wishing you Happy Holidays!
Hello twin! So chic with pearls and earrings!
Thank you so much @Croisette7-- I always love being twins! Hoping your holidays are lovely...
I forgot to post Acte III, Lkb. Lots of activity in a short time. It was 12 degrees and so cold so this is unglamorous but I was certainly warm. Because CSGMs aren’t just pretty.
View attachment 5677699A quick little story. On an adjacent main street near my home is a natural foods store which I support and shop in for a few staples. They have a darling new kitten, a bodacious, energetic little girl who seems to really like me. I like, no, LOVE her! When I come in, she barrels down the aisle to greet me and I scoop her up, give her kisses and hugs, and then she’s ready to play. Or, one of the owners’ kids will pick her up and hand her to me. This time, I was wearing Acte III and the son, seeing me, picked her up to bring her to me. Oh, dear, I had to refrain, explaining why. Because, as we all know, cats and CSGMs don’t really mix. Claws will find their way… :giggle:. I petted her carefully and now I owe her a good visit next time.
SOTD yesterday. This is an archive shot but it is what I wore, I just couldn’t take a better mod shot.

All lovely, @Karenska.
Thank you @LKBNOLA and congrats on the very special SEs!
When you have friends with similar tastes in scarves, it’s always a delight when they decide to rehome a few.

Congratulations on your beautiful -- and very different-- scarves. Scarfie friends who need/want to rehome are indeed a special delight @Snausages :winkiss: :hugs: (Thank you)
Another scarf that entered my collection this year is a different colorway of Scotland. Early on in my collecting I purchased two Scotland original issue colorways, the red and the green. While I adore the red, the green had extensive yellowing that put me off from wearing it. So, I finally replaced it with this newer black and orange colorway.

Ever since @xincinsin posted about Imprimeur Fou I have been looking for an example for my collection. I recently found this Imprimeuer Fou Couvertures d'Ex-Libris cotton/silk beauty and am delighted to introduce it today.

I am glad you successfully were able to "CCP" your Scotland with this new beauty @Redbirdhermes and that Imprimeur Fou cotton is just wonderful...
Today’s SOTD with double Space Derby, incorporating my new twilly which was under the tree.

This is my first attempt at combining, which doesn’t work as well as I’d hoped as the reds aren’t quite a match but I’ll keep playing around with them.

Looks good from this vantage point @paula24jen -- love this idea! This makes me want to try it...
@Pirula i got the mod shot in the Gene Kelly navy for you
Happy Hanukkah and Happy Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.

Beautiful photo! Love the Gene Kelly with the green top @Iflola! Happy Holidays.
Thank you very much for all your kind comments! I'm so happy to have found this caring forum where I can share my passion and discover even more wonderful scarves. I am really enjoying your beautiful pictures!
I truly enjoy yours as well @Coco2606 and there is no better place to share your passion and allow it to flourish...
My heavens! A treasure… and, an unicorn! You are so lucky to have found this one and can’t wait to see your complete collex of De Passages!

Both are so very special and hard to find! Beautifully accessorized and styled! Must say that that yellow contrast hem on Madison Avenue is fabulous
Thank you so much @Living.la.vida.fifi ...
Today I present every single silk from the Hermès 2022 collections that I acquired this year. BTW, I also have Le Premier Chant from the Spring/Summer 2022 collection, but it was a 2021 Christmas gift, so technically not a part of this year’s tally

So, these are all my Spring/Summer 2022 silks in order of acquisition…

Beautiful gift and perfect for you @scarf1!

A very Merry Christmas Day to all my beautiful TPF friends! And a very warm and grateful thank you to @Karenska and @Living.la.vida.fifi for hosting last week and this. I am thrilled to share a grail for me that also is 1) a crossover scarf from Holiday Week (and even from Purple Week!) and 2) this completes my collection of four De Passage Scarves. I will post the set as part of this week's theme as two of the four came to me in this calendar year. I hope that whether you are celebrating the 7th night of Chanukah or Christmas Day, you found an orange box in your pile of gifts much like the ones on my scarf!
Editing to add the title! This is, as @Redbirdhermes noted, De Passage a Moscou.

Oh my! Just getting to this post because I was not on the thread on Christmas Day. Gorgeous colorway and so beautifully accessorized, Lkb!

I am going to have to double post to fit all my year end recap into the week! To paraphrase the Beatles' song "Eight days a week is not enough to show" ...my scarves! I spend way too much time making these fun "pic collages" ever since @Nomad showed how she does them. This one shows four designs by Nathalie Vialars: (left to right) De Passage a Moscou, De Passage a Tokyo, (second row) De Passage a Paris and De Passage a New York. Although I acquired the Paris and New York scarves in 2020 and 21, I am including them because I completed the "set" this year and that felt like an accomplishment!

Thank you for a wonderfully festive week, @Karenska, and welcome to Christmas Day and to help us ring out the old year, @Living.la.vida.fifi. I am looking forward to your compilation of 2022 scarves with great anticipation.

I was delighted to find this most special Madison Party scarf a few weeks ago. It is perfect for days like today when our temperatures are below zero Fahrenheit.

But my scarf of the day is one I found under my Christmas tree this morning. Chorus Stellarum in green.

These scarves were both hard to find given that I live several states away from the nearest boutique. I do appreciate the sellers who, for reasons unknown, decided these scarves were not for them.

Happy Holidays to all!
A beautiful Christmas gift, dear twin.

Haha, I’m trying NOT to think that way haha. I need my collection to shrink ;-). I had a great year for rehoming. I am pleased. And oh so thankful I have not missed one of them…phew. That’s always the fear right…that we might regret when we pass ours along! I even rehomed a Samourais and am a-ok about it. Phew.
