So happy for you both as Scout will be the pampered baby of the house and Scout has been adopted by the most loving of families… These pictures are so precious… Mementos of a very special day! And, your outfit and scarf combo are delightful

This has got to be the most luscious, ethereal Quintessence CW of them all!

Two beauties… Your Iris pics were inspirational to me and I am so happy to score one and become your twin

A masterpiece!

Both festive treasures

What a beautiful introduction! I had to go back and re-read and enjoy it again! I am so glad that you feature Comedie Italienne as a holiday scarf because I do as well… I have two CWs which I like to think as December silks… The design is so sumptuous and festive. i adore your beauty…
And, how wonderful to incorporate The Nutcracker ballet and its history into the post and week… Fabulous!

Oh my heavens… Mr Cat reminds me of our Ponki! He is precious and such a festive post!

Heavenly!

Aaah, a Christmas classic! So happy to be twins

Oh so gorgeous! And, very Celtic in feel… Extraordinary color combo and love the accessorizing with the pearls

Made for you… This is such a great design and so festive! I love to wear mine during the holidays

Gaaaah! Cutie pies!

What a chic and festive parade! Beautiful outfits and perfectly accessorized with a bounty of gorgeous Christmas brooches! Your styling is inspirational
Thank you so much!
Thank you, dear @Karenska for such a beautiful and meaningful introduction to this festive week!
Today I attended Sunday Mass wearing one of my favorites of all time: Neige d’Antan
View attachment 5673580

And, a pic of it from the archives in a knot I love to make with it. I posted it on Friday as I wore it leaving the house to do errands, but it ended up in this knot by the end of the day
View attachment 5673584

A scarf that I find delightfully appropriate for the holidays is Les Merises in this CW
View attachment 5673581

And, even though not a holiday theme, this Brazil is a festive powerhouse
View attachment 5673585

Finally, though Feux d’Artifice doesn’t sport traditional holiday colors, I find it to be quite festive
View attachment 5673582

And, ending with one of my massive Christmas tree brooches on a non-H hand-woven artisanal shawl
View attachment 5673583
These are holiday perfection!!! And May the H gods forgive me but the last is my favorite!!

You are slaying me, dear Pirula :girlsigh:. All so merry and bright. And lovely jewelry. Your lipstick shades, too. You can definitely rock a variety of shades!
Thank you!!!
Good morning, Scarfies and Happy Monday. SOTD is Neige d'Antan. Shown two ways: a bit of holiday red for today's errands and featuring the beautiful icy blue snowflakes last night for the first Chanukah candle lighting.

Today in old faithful - Peuple du Vent - one of the workhorses in my collection.

Ok this is gorgeous. My God.
I am having am eerie feeling of deja vu with these quotes so if I already commented, apologies (maybe I will say something new!) and if I missed anyone in a previous multi-quote, I hope I caught you this time! (thank you @Snausages-- your quote just vanished...)

Lovely outfits with your Christmas pins and jewelry @Pirula!

Thank you for your nice comments @Living.la.vida.fifi -- you inspired me with Neige d'Antan and I am just lost in admiration of your gorgeous holiday reds! That last brooch is amazing...

 Yes, next year I will have nutcrackers, pups and scarves all sorted by the holidays...

Thank you @HScarfCollector! It is a good thing he is so cute as we forget what is involved in bringing home a 12 week old puppy...

This is beautiful @Awillow-- such a gorgeous color...
Thanks!

Your Neige tying is so lovely, Fifi, and you look so gorgeous for your Christmas concert, which must have been just wonderful. I love the earrings you are wearing with Neige.
And the church and Nativity are just amazing. Thank you so much for posting these. :hugs:

All so festive and appropriate to the joyous season, Fifi. So, so lovely.

Regarding scarf displacement, the best laid plans for knots and ties “gang aft a-gley” - apologies to Robert Burns and his poignant poem “To a Mouse”. My scarves rearranging themselves on my neck is a major feature of my scarf style .

As for non-holiday themed scarves being festive on their own, yes to that, agreed, as we will see throughout the week :graucho:.

Thank you, Fifi, so happy you enjoyed my intro. I hope you will model your two LCI scarves for us to enjoy.
You can thank my husband for the Nutcracker inspiration - he brought me up a coffee just when I was about to post my intro and told me about Nut being 130 today. Well, me being the ballet nut that I am, I had to share. Then I immediately remembered the Polichinelles and related it back to Comedie and voila! A big cherry on top to wrap up my intro :ty:.

Such a glorious holiday scarf! So versatile in all of its different facets… Love how you showcased the snowflakes side on the last knot

Though I own PdV only as a 90, I must admit that it truly shines as a moussie

My girls want to wish everyone the happiest of holidays!
(In keeping with our H theme, please note the little sliver of orange box on the left!)

They are so precious! What a lovely, festive scene! And, an orange box under the tree is always our biggest treat

When I first saw this scarf I was certain that Hermès had issued a knit scarf.

View attachment 5674061

But no, it is silk. Here are a couple of shots with actual woolen knits.

View attachment 5674067View attachment 5674068

I love the sleigh and reindeer, the fake tag, and the different color hems on the different sides. My scarf of the day is Au Coin du Feu.

I adore this design. It is so clever! Beautiful with the pearls

This colorway is so festive! Love the way you have tied it to let the pattern show. I have the light blue which was my first ever Hermes scarf. The stitched “tag” is also one of my favorite details!

Thank you to everyone for sharing such wonderful scarves the last few weeks and months. I've been enjoying them so much but haven't had much time to share my own treasures. 2022 opened the door to what is now an obsession. For now, I'm sharing this Marche du Zambeze I meant to share Friday for its little flash of purple. It was date night and I tried out a new-to-me knot. Looking forward to sharing and seeing all of the beautiful scarves in what's left of 2022 and then on to 2023!

Festive SOTD as I catch up with holiday errands I couldn’t accomplish when I was recently ill. I love the happy soft and bold colors of this design. Fêtes Venitiennes. It’s a cowboy knot with the excess fabric folded over the knot. You are all showing some merry scarves today, which I will look at more closely when I get home.

so lovely on you!

Happy Sunday, dear Scarfies, and thank you, Fifi @Living.la.vida.fifi, for your lovely Advent celebration of purple scarves, so many colorful beauties, and to everyone who showed off your treasures this week. I think of this week’s theme as a continuation of the last, as Fifi expressed it perfectly, “The joyful season beckons us to be a little more festive, merry and bright and what better way to show it than with our beloved silks.”

Jingle Bell Rock: Festive Scarves to Rock Your Holidays!
Welcome to the start of this sacred and peaceful time for all of us, a time of reflection, celebration, merrymaking and light. Hannukah, the Festival of Lights, begins tonight, December 18, with the lighting of the first candle of the Menorah. Today, the Fourth Sunday of Advent marks the start of Christmas week. Wednesday is the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year, but also the beginning of a ‘new year’ of lengthening days. December 26 begins the African festival of Kwanzaa, or “First Fruits”. Each commemorates the shared promise of rebirth and renewal for all living things, and we welcome this time with joy. So let’s don our festive apparel, our sparkly jewelry, and of course, our beautiful, celebratory scarves as we begin our holiday season!

Festive SOTD, La Comedie Italienne by Phillipe Ledoux. Depicting the Commedia dell’Arte and all its reveling stock characters, I find this gem to be perfectly lovely for celebrating.

En pointe, also, because today is the 130th anniversary of the debut of Tschaikovsky’s iconic Nutcracker ballet. It premiered December 18, 1892 at the Imperial Mariinsky Theatre in St Petersburg.

Ivan Vsevolozhsky's original costume sketch for The Nutcracker (1892)

In the cast is a character called Mother Ginger whose skirt contains adorable Polichinelles, or little Pulchinellas, a Commedia dell’Arte stock figure of some importance . Here is their dance from New York City Ballet’s 1993 Nutcracker film. Macauley Culkin, already a star, was also a student at the School of American ballet, and was given the starring role of the Nutcracker Prince. Enjoy!

My Nutcracker display, complete with Sugarplum, pointe shoes, and a photo of the composer who made it all happen.

Beautiful intro Karenska! Your La Comedie Italienne is just gorgeous!
Thank you very much @Karenska for this exciting introduction. The festive spirit will be with us all week .
Calm before the storm, Mr Cat slips in for a "Voyage en étoffes" in front of the tree ( he paid a lot of his own way to wrap the presents ).

Woo hoooo twin!
Thank you for the beautiful and thoughtful introduction to this most holy and joyous time of year, @Karenska . I saved my favorite holiday scarf for today with its busy shoppers, the snow covered branches, and the little purple toys enjoying winter sports.

A beautiful cw RBH!
I am celebrating the start of Chanukah tonight, but I love all mid-winter festivals. Today I am sharing a new to me Fleurs d'Ecosse which splits the difference between Chanukah's blue colors and the red we associate with Christmas, merging the two into a lovely tartan plaid, which would make my Argentine-Scottish grandparents proud. I own this lovely scarf thanks to our own @Snausages, so it also celebrates the joy of scarf friendship as well as all the seasonal delights!
