It really should have a warning sign! My mom has an old H scarf and I didn't really like it, I've always loved scarves in general but I was convinced H ones were too "granniesque" for me (and I couldn't afford them anyway). Then I bought "Libre comme l'air" almost two years ago and I was convinced it would have been the last ("Hermès is for 90 years old ladies only, I won't find any other designs I like for sure!"). Then...all these other carrès I loved kept on appearing online, and I knew I was in trouble.
Anyway I agree, I don't mind having scarves with some flaws. They're less expensive, I feel more comfortable wearing them because they're already damaged and most of them aren't even visible when the scarf is on my neck.
That Annie Faivre design was my start down the slope, although it has taken many years to reach obsession stage! I received Libre commes l'air as a birthday gift in 2003 and began adding a scarf or two here and there until 2019 when I fell hard for several gorgeous carres in both seasons. I was feeling a bit guilty until finding this congenial group of scarfies!

How beautiful! Selle d Ófficier en Grande Tenue is one of H’s wonders - flat you think “I don’t get it”; tied you think “Zomg! It’s fab!”
Totally agree!
Thank you, turfnsurf, I didn’t see this comment until now. Dinner plates . I appreciate the volunteer suggestion. The therapeutic riding center is closed, although I didn’t get that from their website, so guess what? I’m taking riding lessons! Will have my second lesson on Tuesday. Very humbling and I loved the class. Wonderful stables, very clean and horses beautifully taken care of. Feeling so grateful. I know others on this thread will be interested in my comment, thinking of @AnnaE and @Sammy Royal! I appropriately wore Cavald’or losange to my first lesson this week, a very cold day. Love this format Karenska!

For Saturday my most favorite. I always love her designs, I’m cheered by the colors, and charmed by her creatures.

I love, love, love each of these @Cookiefiend! I'm contemplating the Peuple duVent for my first CSGM and I am stalking Nuees Imaginaires in any format on the reseller market. It has been a really fun and informative and inspiring theme this week. (Nice knotted top to match your scarf!).

Good morning! Its a snowy Saturday and I have finally had a chance to take a shot or two of my new Dallet scarf that came last week. Thinking of @bunnycat and her sweet story of the feral kitty rescue. Tried to tie this to show the cats! Also @Karenska who I am sisters with on this. I can see this will be super fun to play with as I get better at knotting and tying. Also want to echo @irmapusen on the pleasure of spending time on this delightful site with all of your gorgeous photos and funny and inspiring posts.
Sisters, LKBNOLA! :hugs:It’s gorgeous! A cw I like as much as my green one. And you tied it so beautifully. I tied mine the other day and a big paw was showcased.

I adore the animal drawings by Xavier de Poret. I would love to add a scarf with his bird drawings to my collection. I know some of you have these and I am so delighted when they are shared. In the meantime I made sure to get the reissue of Bassets this past season. I also found a vintage Les Poulains recently in excellent condition.

I’m pleased to introduce Les Poulains (the foals) by Xavier de Poret as my scarf of the day.

I know it is going to be fun to figure out ties that showcase different parts of his amazing drawings. Also, I am going to pair it with my pendant as you have! Style and Scarf inspo-- a bonus twofer...

Yayy!! That pendant almost went back. But it pairs absolutely smartly with both cws of Appaloosa and others so I kept it. I went back and forth on whether to keep it :panic:. I can’t wait to see yours!

I guess my favourite scarf is my first shawl, not due to the design but the colours. It was an easy choice, although I was skeptic to the design. A saddle, really ? :amazed: Now I love it, its the Selle d Ófficier en Grande Tenue by Wlodek Kaminski. The shopping experience in Paris was great, and I wear this alot. Irritating whith all the pilling on the big one-colour-areas, though.

I am also very fond of the designs by Pierre Marie. He also designed the Diptyque candels for Christmas season 2018, wich I . Actually have most of this candles from several years back

My favourite designer just now has to be Alice Shirley, the first H-scarf I saw and felt in love with was Zebra Pegasus, but I was too late to the party. I was lucky to find Mountain Zebra though, simply stunning!

Reading this forum has become my mindful moment after work, I really enjoy seeing all this art you are shearing. Thank you! The bad about it, is thats sooo tempting and makes med want a lot more scarfs, haha. The good thing, to live where I live, is that the alternatives in the one H-shop is very limited, and what they have in shop is planned to be sold mostly to tourists from Asia, and the CWs they choose is affected by that. (I was told by a SA). I actually never see people with H-scarfs around. Or bags. (Except for my friend). Its in practice no second-hand market here. And if I would like to by from another country, or from internet, the price will almost double due to import taxes, customes and postage. It limits itself in a way. Witch is probably a good thing...
I wish everyone a good weekend
Such a beauty, Irma! I love the deep and dark colors. And those candles are lovely!

This ties beautifully - congratulations! I love Poret as well, and I’m also on a hunt for one of his bird scarves... they’re usually way out of my budget though!

I am dreadfully behind on this thread and I look forward to catching up over the weekend. I’ll share a couple of scarves from this week, Baobab Cat silk 90 and Jaguar Quetzal CSGM.

both of these are b3autiful!
Many pages of pretty silks to catch up on!

Since so many others have showcased some of my favorites, I’ll share an underrated artist, known mostly for Turandot, Natsuno Hidaka as it so happens I pulled this one from the tansy this weekend to wear.

so gorgeous on you! Love how you paired with the creamy white top
I have taken liberties this week w the love theme Because I love so many designers I just can’t pick one and so many others have already shown my favorites....so today, it’s my LOVE of changeants!!!!! Fell hard since the new year. @bunnycat helped me with identifying my first one which I returned because the beige colors w a peridot highlight were awful on me. And she helped me with my next one too! Now I‘ve got two more that came this week and two more on the way .
Excuse all the lint on my black shirt. It’s my under-layer piece. I had a cozy sweater over it earlier in the day.
Parures des Sables green w purple highlight, La Rosee which is a very subtle one w a pink highlight, and Arabesques with the fiery oranges and almost reds. I call it my hot lava scarf. View attachment 4996473View attachment 4996474View attachment 4996475
congrats! These are all so beautiful.
And my grail of all silks only one design that I could find, Antoine de Jacquelot, Ecume.
