And there was a glorious Scythian exhibition at the British Museum a few year ago as well, completely mindblowing. For me it was incredibly touching and humbling to see the pieces of fur, very neatly cut into to thin strips and sewn together to make probably a cape or a coat. To see this painstaking work, doubtlessly made with a bone needle and thin tendons used as thread was bsolutely marvellous. I dabble in this hobby sewing sheepskins into cushions and large throws, but with all the proper tools, and that crafstman so many hundred years ago outdid me big time. So, had to get a preloved scarf commemorating this, and it took a long time to get one in a very delicate pinkish cream with the motives picked out in a brownish shade, as Hermes gold and I don't mix very well - I really love that scarf
