Thank you for a lovely introduction @Agrume . I do hope to visit Amsterdam someday post COVID!!
One of my favorite ways to snuggle up for warmth: a cashmere turtleneck paired with a CSGM that is nice and organized for working from home and cooking...so very cold here today as we await the expected snowstorm here in New England! (people are always amazed when they see the size of a shawl unfurled when I wear it like this LOL!!)

thank you so much, Bova! Amsterdam is defined worth a visit. Your taming of a CSGM is quite an inspiration, have to try this too. Thanks cookiefiend, and I am glad my explanation made sense!!
Yay! this looks wonderful Langsam, it is super cozy for sure, and looks so nice with a contrast hem too!
In light of this subject (winter oriented scarves and tying of them), this is what I wore the other day during black scarf week and never got a chance to post. Was also a frigid day, so the coziness of this tie was quite satisfying! Sorry for the same look with this compact weave or hacking knot, here with De la Mer au Ciel CSGM.

All so awesome! I love that Pays des Oiseaux CW... and La France is such a classic. Mine is the red but I adore your yellow CW
Wonderful intro and this is such a great theme
So stunning!
What a great winter look!
Oh, so many beauties!
Cosmos is so great in this format... and, stunning colors!
Wonderful scarf and look
Robe de Soir is such a fabulous design... It almost shimmers! This is a great CW
Perfect winter scarf... So delightful! And, those stunning pearls!
Lovely and cozy winter look to brave the elements
Sounds like the perfect warm and cozy Sunday indoors
Oooh, have I seen this shawl on you before? So fabulous!!
Well, I am definitely in awe... How ever in the world were you able to bring it down to that size?!
Well, due to the frigid temperatures up north working their way south, we are bracing ourselves here in the Tropics for temps in the 40s this coming week! Woohooo! Shawl weather, here I come! (Yup, folks, 40 degree weather is bitter tundra to us)... Although, alas, I don’t own any winter-themed shawls! Nor, do I own many winter-themed scarves, but I’ll show the few that qualify in my collex and will probably be stretching out the theme a bit the rest of the week...
Beginning with the obvious, and my favorite: Noël au 24 Faubourg

great pairing, Magjes, and could not get more wintery than this! The wintery Grands Nords

This scarf ring is a perfect fit, Xincinsin!Imprimeur Fou Charabia is an outlier for me because I very rarely buy 140s or cashmere. The design is Arabian-themed. So I'm wearing cashmere in the tropics, a desert kingdom design to keep myself warm in a wintry office when the weather outside is blisteringly hot.

of course extra points, Bunnycat, thank you for pointing this out! When the tough get cold, they put on cashmere.....

we had tracks, human tracks that came to the front door and then walked away...no package, no "sorry we missed you", no flyers, very strange.A winter day here too...

The best blanket ever right??
Thank you scarf1...sometimes I like to keep the shawl "contained" and other times I will wear it in a more typical fashion!

Very pretty, Agrume!SOTD is Laboratoire du temps - to keep me warm at work (although climbing all those stairs also helps). I try not to wear turtlenecks every day (I love the cozy feeling they give).
