 I'm always good with extra points!

Perfect with the black! (Would have been a great crossover from last week too! )

Such peaceful color Croisette! Soothing!

This is glorious on black!

Beautiful lanit! I, too, am a "throw and go" kind of person with my scarves by preference. So most of my knotting is very simple to go with everything else casual in my life.

 yes- snow flurries in the tropics..... but I love it anyway....
Thank you kindly, bunnycat!

Wintry silks seem to abound in my tansu. A few tied and untied. On the subject to tying, I avoid intricate knots and just appreciate the simplest means of wearing my shawls and scarves. So many gals like to do creative gymnastics / origami with their scarves. For me, H scarves are already typically busy in pattern and colors so I err towards less is more to allow the artistic design of a scarf flow. My two cents anyway. I’ll always favor wearing my 90’s casually vs. overly prim. Happy week all!

Today - a toasty 140. Tropiques Poinconne (looking at you, @AnnaE !) Go with me here - squint hard... Are the dots snowflakes? No? I tried... View attachment 4976417
I love this in red! I used to be your cousin with a tan colorway but ended up rehoming it. I have trouble wrangling the 140 silks.
Wearing Savana dance in the 140 cm format. It was my second 140 scarf, but the first bought in store and not second hand. I purchased it while on holiday in Paris in june 2020, a truly wonderful trip that allowed me to see my favorite city without the usual crowds.

So lovely on you. a very beautiful soft colorway.

WOW! Croisette this is a beauty!! The pocket trim on your jacket pulls this whole look together beautifully.

This is the one I long for!!! The hem gets me every time.

This is a wonderful neutral colorway and has been on my wishlist for a while now. LOVE seeing it again.
Thank you, MAGJES!

I tried Bova’s fat knot (BFK) and here it is with my men’s “SILK MIX” and a cozy waffle shirt.
My most used CSGM.
Very snuggly and warm.

Thanks fifi...I simply keep the shawl in its' rectangular shape from the box, fold it over again lengthwise to an even narrower rectangle, and then tie in the classic weave knot. Give it a try, I find it quite warm and handy when I don't want too much bulk, especially if I'll be wearing a bulky winter coat.
I do the same as you, looks nice, and its warm and practical at the same time, win-win :-)

Very pretty, Agrume!
Thank you, Croisette! :flowers:

They are gorgeous, Croisette. I did not know the neutral colour way of Sports d'hiver. The Vie au grand Nord is positively stunning! I would not have thought of those colours as an obvious choice, but the effect is incroyable.

Thank you Agrume...yes Amsterdam is definitely on our list...we are long overdue to visit dear friends who live in Roermond!

Lovely Agrume...and I am with you on the love of turtlenecks!
Thank you so much, Bova! Turtlenecks are one of the nice aspects of winter.

Argume, this is a lovely colorway. I have a love/hate relationship with the one I purchased. I hope to remedy that one day.
Thank you so much, Magjes! I also rehomed my first attempt at this design, much success!

oooooo!
Thanks cookiefiend, and I am glad my explanation made sense!!

Yay! this looks wonderful Langsam, it is super cozy for sure, and looks so nice with a contrast hem too!

In light of this subject (winter oriented scarves and tying of them), this is what I wore the other day during black scarf week and never got a chance to post. Was also a frigid day, so the coziness of this tie was quite satisfying! Sorry for the same look with this compact weave or hacking knot, here with De la Mer au Ciel CSGM.

Perfection, and an inspired pairing with the stripes!
Imprimeur Fou Charabia is an outlier for me because I very rarely buy 140s or cashmere. The design is Arabian-themed. So I'm wearing cashmere in the tropics, a desert kingdom design to keep myself warm in a wintry office when the weather outside is blisteringly hot. :cray:

What a great neutral!
cookie, this is a perfect way to spend a winter afternoon - love your EL Parisiennes.

thank you so much, Bova! Amsterdam is defined worth a visit. Your taming of a CSGM is quite an inspiration, have to try this too.

thank you kindly, Fifi, and I always admire your collection, Noël is a true winter scarf. And love your Zenobie!

perfect, Langsam!

great pairing, Magjes, and could not get more wintery than this!

This scarf ring is a perfect fit, Xincinsin!
Thank you so much, we all need days like that!
SOTD is Laboratoire du temps - to keep me warm at work (although climbing all those stairs also helps). I try not to wear turtlenecks every day (I love the cozy feeling they give).

The stripes of orange are perfect pops of color!
we had tracks, human tracks that came to the front door and then walked away...no package, no "sorry we missed you", no flyers, very strange.
