I agree with this for now too. I’ve played around with a couple of 50/50s and could not make them work.
I think the 50/50's "on the diagonal" rather than straight across are easier to work with. With the diagonal split, you have the option to totally hide one half of the scarf (in cowboy tie) if you want. With the straight across split you always must show both halves (I think?).
Well, I'm too lazy to scarf up today, here is my last dark scarf from the archives - Ex Libris.

Happy Friday everyone!! Thanks for the likes and loves and the many many laughs. You all make a long work week and below freezing temperatures so enjoyable with your banter, smiles, and scarf art. Last week when I went off in search of @Pirula ’s elek I said I’d post a pic of it the second it arrived. Little did I know it would arrive on my video free Friday and I wouldn’t be suited and booted for video calls as I usually am. Alas, here it is Golden Girls tee shirt and all. My mom (rest her soul) thought it was a total lark to buy me this one vacation because she often labeled my 2 best girl friends and me as the Golden girls because we had “old lady” tendencies according to her, and would often either be sitting at home on a Friday night when she at our age would be at the disco till dawn, or bickering about something inconsequential. @Hermes Nuttynut thank you for identifying the colorway for me!
Was this the one on ebay? I'm so glad it found a good home. It's lovely on you!

Hello! Long time no see, hope everyone’s been well! Dipping a shawl back into SOTD with a dark and stormy Sieste au Paradis that I recently shared on IG.

I provided the dark. Mother Nature provided the stormy. (Mors et gourmettes remix)

My 1st scarf of the new season arrived yesterday and spent the entire day on my neck! I failed to take a photo but am sharing the yellow washed Zambeze with two other yellows in my collection. I am delightfully surprised to find that a washed scarf can be this vivid.

great pony express! And thanks for the comparison pic. Love that Modernism tropical!
You are so inspiring! Here is my first scarf, from 2017.
I bought it in Paris, and I knew it was ment for me the moment I saw it - have used it very much , very easy to make it green/ burgundy/ blue. I have not seen this in this forum, dont know why. English/ american is not my first language, so bear over with me:smile: The name of the scarf is "Selle d´officier en grande tenue". I am deep down in the orange H rabbit hole, and it is good to know that I am not alone

beautiful! Welcome! Please continue to post here!
Popping in real quick with an Everyday H, my old faithful Les Fusils - worn while cleaning and cooking for a friend’s birthday dinner.

Sock monkey has photo bombed me again!
very pretty!
Dark colors such as deep purple or burgundy work so much better for me than black, but these shades seem to be scarce in Hermes scarves. So I was pleased to find this dipdye in aubergine and wine recently. The feel of the dipdye is amazing as well.

Not really familiar with this one. Love how you matched your necklace to the scarf!

This is a great design! I think @Croisette7 has a few.

Hi right back at you! It’s so great to see everyone’s posts. Thank you for the warm welcome back! :hugs:

So gorgeous with that necklace!

Hi Langsam! Thank you so much! I have to make an effort to wear more of my lovelies - they are just languishing away in my closet... Maybe SOTD is just the nudge I need to start wearing them again.
Thank you, my dear!

This is a gorgeous scarf that I had and stupidly sold....

Thank you! It was so windy there was a haze over the beach from sand being whipped into a frenzy. I had to leave right after I tried taking a “nice” pic but got this instead.

Thank you again! I knew you guys would understand.

Thank you so much, Croisette! It’s so good to see you too!

Yes, scarfing has become a spectator sport these days.

Hi there! So good to see you too!! :hugs:

Thank you!!

Ohhhh, myyyyy! So beautiful! I love 05 with beige! So happy to be twins on both, Samourais still makes me gasp with delight.

Thank you for the warm welcome!

Hi back at you! It’s nice to be back and see the gang’s all still here!
I’m happy to ‘see’ you back on the thread, Joannadyne. I was been thinking of you and wondering how you are. :hugs:

Lovely, dear Langsam. Perfect rationale about 50/50s on the diagonal vs. strait in terms of patterns and tying.

One of my favorite ways to wear my black and white scarves is with red... Love this
I need to wear this color combo more!

Delighted to be twins! I think this black/white colorway is so dramatic...in a good way!!
Agree! My taste mostly veers towards "less dramatic", so the 70cm size was a good way to try out a high-contrast pattern. I'm evolving -- looked back through old photos this morning and lingered on a couple of Brights that I had returned for being "too bright". Now I'm wishing I had kept at least one (Garde-Robe Pop, I'm looking at you). Live and learn!

So pretty.
Thank you dear @More bags !

Beautiful, Langsam! So neat and well-coordinated. That is one gorgeous 70!
Thanks! The neat part was easy. This is a bee jacquard and the silk is quite heavy and stiff, hard to wrinkle it!

Perfect together IMO Lamgsam!
Thank you so much @bunnycat ! You haven't broken TPF yet, keep on quoting :)
