Thank you, Xincinsin. I love plisses for their own charms, too. My very loose one is so loose, I fantasize about just washing it and let depleat nature take it’s course. I can’t imagine the pleat marks could be completely eliminated.
I was greatly aided by the fact that the Astrologie was already so limp that it could be folded like a 90, which was how it ended up under the boxes.

A couple of years ago, the H concession at Taipei airport tempted me with a whole tray of plisses made from new designs like Space Shopping. So it looks like H still dabbles in pleating now and then.

This just occurred to me: I paid $100 for that Astrologie. $100 for a scarf to experiment on... It puts into perspective the amount of over retail that I pay for grails. I feel much better now

My 1st scarf of the new season arrived yesterday and spent the entire day on my neck! I failed to take a photo but am sharing the yellow washed Zambeze with two other yellows in my collection. I am delightfully surprised to find that a washed scarf can be this vivid.

Magjes, your pony express is great. Like so many of KO's painterly scarves, it ties beautifully. And congrats on your marche.

You are so inspiring! Here is my first scarf, from 2017.
I bought it in Paris, and I knew it was ment for me the moment I saw it - have used it very much , very easy to make it green/ burgundy/ blue. I have not seen this in this forum, dont know why. English/ american is not my first language, so bear over with me:smile: The name of the scarf is "Selle d´officier en grande tenue". I am deep down in the orange H rabbit hole, and it is good to know that I am not alone :-D

Well, it’s lovely. :girlsigh:

Why thank you.

Samourais today. I started off thinking shawl, but opted for 90 instead.View attachment 4974650View attachment 4974652

Gorgeous.

thanks AW! Tbh that was my issue with elek also. I found it to be a bit challenging both in color usage and pattern usage (not meaning to offend anyone) but it didn’t seem to be a “me” design. Then I saw it paired with just solid navy by pirula and it stood out to me. I researched it quickly and realized the tying is important so you highlight what you want, then the colors you can pair are endless with a scarf like that. Thus got this one that has more neutral tones. I am moving on from novice to intermediate now in my scarf buying haha

Get me! I’m an influencer! :panic:

PS: if you wear gray, it’s awesome with gray too.

Dark colors such as deep purple or burgundy work so much better for me than black, but these shades seem to be scarce in Hermes scarves. So I was pleased to find this dipdye in aubergine and wine recently. The feel of the dipdye is amazing as well.

Irma, this is lovely. The richness of this colorway really brings out the best of the design. This scarf is one I have looked at purchasing in the 90 format several times. Your pictures capture its beauty. ❤ and you will find much company here in the rabbit hole!

Perfect together IMO Lamgsam!

More predominantly black scarves or featuring touches of black... I’ve been hibernating all day today as yesterday was a non-stop busy day... so these are all from the archives... except for Ex Libris en Kimonos CSGM which I wore to run errands yesterday since we’ve had a mini cold front. I do love the black area of this shawl

Beautifully cozy in your PonyE!

My flattened plisse was/wasn't deliberate. A scarfie detailed the entire deplissing process in another thread and I happened to come across a rather cheap (H-cheap) Astrologie, so I bought it with the vague intention of washing and deplissing as an experiment. As with all plans by mice and men, RL got in the way. I put the limp plisse into the "for laundering" pile and never got round to dealing with it as it was low priority. Then, during my six-monthly update of the scarf Excel (the location column forever gets out of date), I unearthed it and the weight of the orange boxes on it had quite flattened it (like pressed flowers!).

Would I deliberately deplisse again? Nope. The pleats have left a striped appearance on the fabric and there is obvious wear on the folds. Deplissing is tempting because the same design is often cheaper in plisse, but I'd buy a plisse for its own charms.

If you don't look closely, the scarf is fine. (And black, so I'm on theme!)

If you examine it closely, you can see the diagonal marks left by the pleats.

I get dirt marks on the fold lines like that with regular scarves. I am wondering if washing and ironing with help some? It does with fold marks in regular scarves.

:faint: It's a fabulous piece of DD!!! Love the deep purple colors in it!

If I am your twin, croisette, I know I am on the right track.

A 45 would be really cool. It would probably be a detail in that format, kind of like brazil or grand Manege, I guess. And wouldn't a meet up be great!!! I am in when life returns to whatever normal will be!

We are moving through the h apprenticeship together. There are definite advanced and masters/mistresses! to learn from here!
A lovely compliment, Awillow, thank you!
