Absolutely! The east coast ladies need to organize a meet up when covid is under control!Hahaha, Magjes! And then you can send your appaloosa this way for comparison here!!!![]()
I Know! I cannot believe I waited so long to experiment with this size silk.magjes, I love the M&M and MP especially! 70s are so great!
I agree with this for now too. I’ve played around with a couple of 50/50s and could not make them work. That is what my SA says, too. I haven't tried one. I worry that even if harmonious in terms of color, it is impossible to pull off with two contrasting designs. When I see them online, mod shots often only feature only one side of the design. I will continue to think on that.
I am still kicking myself for not purchasing the Turandots SE at the Charlotte NC store when it was offered.I've paid over retail for very hard to get grails, but really, how much you are willing to pay depends on how much you want it. I've also happily placed very exorbitantly-priced scarves on my bay watchlist because I'm fascinated by all those $3k Turandots and that $9k de Poret. They haven't sold so far.![]()
Thank you, MAGJES!Thanks so much Karenska! The 1st one is the new Monsieur et Madame 70 in Marine. Yes....The second is the black/white FP!
OmPlaceholder habit - that is a good phrase. I am trying to break myself of that. The struggle is real.![]()
thanks AW! Tbh that was my issue with elek also. I found it to be a bit challenging both in color usage and pattern usage (not meaning to offend anyone) but it didn’t seem to be a “me” design. Then I saw it paired with just solid navy by pirula and it stood out to me. I researched it quickly and realized the tying is important so you highlight what you want, then the colors you can pair are endless with a scarf like that. Thus got this one that has more neutral tones. I am moving on from novice to intermediate now in my scarf buying hahaLucky you, foxy! This looks great on! I have not been able to,figure out if this would look any good on me and even if it did, what cw to look for. Fab!
Thanks Karenska, and right back at you with your parade this week! Your tyger is on my radar in the Shawl format. Love ❤️Ms Foxy, you are slaying me! Stunning. Oh my! Paired so perfectly with that gorgeous sweater. :
Truly is, thank you. The shirt makes me smile each time I wear it. Mum was a dry wit and shoot straight lady, she never minced words.Congratulations, Foxy, on acquiring this beauty! It is gorgeous. Love your GG tshirt, too- a fun story of your mom and your girlfriends.
Thanks more bags!! It’s one of those work-isms we use at my job. For example if going out to a client site “what’s the dress code over at client x? Business casual or is this a suited and booted deal?” I should compile a list when I retire of all of our company jargon. SmhAll beauties Cookie. Loved your be one with the black border earlier.
So pretty, love the red shoes!
Great lippy and I like how you tied this.
Cute Golden Girls T. I also liked the suited and booted rhyme.
All are lovely on you Magjes.
So pretty.
I love the pink border on your Sangles en Zig Zag.
My flattened plisse was/wasn't deliberate. A scarfie detailed the entire deplissing process in another thread and I happened to come across a rather cheap (H-cheap) Astrologie, so I bought it with the vague intention of washing and deplissing as an experiment. As with all plans by mice and men, RL got in the way. I put the limp plisse into the "for laundering" pile and never got round to dealing with it as it was low priority. Then, during my six-monthly update of the scarf Excel (the location column forever gets out of date), I unearthed it and the weight of the orange boxes on it had quite flattened it (like pressed flowers!).I’m intrigued with flattening my loosest plisse but chicken, too. @xincinsin, I think you flattened one, yes? If so, what was your experience, please?
Thanks, dear k.Both of these are stunning, Awillow. The 90 pairs so beautifully with your lovely light sweater.
Thank you, Xincinsin. I love plisses for their own charms, too. My very loose one is so loose, I fantasize about just washing it and let depleat nature take it’s course. I can’t imagine the pleat marks could be completely eliminated. My flattened plisse was/wasn't deliberate. Would I deliberately deplisse again? Nope. The pleats have left a striped appearance on the fabric and there is obvious wear on the folds. Deplissing is tempting because the same design is often cheaper in plisse, but I'd buy a plisse for its own charms.
If you don't look closely, the scarf is fine. (And black, so I'm on theme!)

If you examine it closely, you can see the diagonal marks left by the pleats.

If I am your twin, croisette, I know I am on the right track.Twins on both ... so beautiful, Awillow!
A 45 would be really cool. It would probably be a detail in that format, kind of like brazil or grand Manege, I guess. And wouldn't a meet up be great!!!I Love this design especially in these two colorways. A great way to start the weekend.
I’d love to see Samourais in a 45 format! Little treasures.

We are moving through the h apprenticeship together. There are definite advanced and masters/mistresses! to learn from here!thanks AW! Tbh that was my issue with elek also.
