My flattened plisse was/wasn't deliberate. A scarfie detailed the entire deplissing process in another thread and I happened to come across a rather cheap (H-cheap) Astrologie, so I bought it with the vague intention of washing and deplissing as an experiment. As with all plans by mice and men, RL got in the way. I put the limp plisse into the "for laundering" pile and never got round to dealing with it as it was low priority. Then, during my six-monthly update of the scarf Excel (the location column forever gets out of date), I unearthed it and the weight of the orange boxes on it had quite flattened it (like pressed flowers!).

Would I deliberately deplisse again? Nope. The pleats have left a striped appearance on the fabric and there is obvious wear on the folds. Deplissing is tempting because the same design is often cheaper in plisse, but I'd buy a plisse for its own charms.

If you don't look closely, the scarf is fine. (And black, so I'm on theme!)

If you examine it closely, you can see the diagonal marks left by the pleats.

Beautifully cozy in your PonyE!

I get dirt marks on the fold lines like that with regular scarves. I am wondering if washing and ironing with help some? It does with fold marks in regular scarves.

Wonderfully warm and cozy!

Sock monkey makes the work go 'round. You look fabu!

Happy Friday everyone!! Thanks for the likes and loves and the many many laughs. You all make a long work week and below freezing temperatures so enjoyable with your banter, smiles, and scarf art. Last week when I went off in search of @Pirula ’s elek I said I’d post a pic of it the second it arrived. Little did I know it would arrive on my video free Friday and I wouldn’t be suited and booted for video calls as I usually am. Alas, here it is Golden Girls tee shirt and all. My mom (rest her soul) thought it was a total lark to buy me this one vacation because she often labeled my 2 best girl friends and me as the Golden girls because we had “old lady” tendencies according to her, and would often either be sitting at home on a Friday night when she at our age would be at the disco till dawn, or bickering about something inconsequential. @Hermes Nuttynut thank you for identifying the colorway for me!
Foxy, congrats on your new ELenK, it is beautiful on you!

You are so inspiring! Here is my first scarf, from 2017.
I bought it in Paris, and I knew it was ment for me the moment I saw it - have used it very much , very easy to make it green/ burgundy/ blue. I have not seen this in this forum, dont know why. English/ american is not my first language, so bear over with me:smile: The name of the scarf is "Selle d´officier en grande tenue". I am deep down in the orange H rabbit hole, and it is good to know that I am not alone

Popping in real quick with an Everyday H, my old faithful Les Fusils - worn while cleaning and cooking for a friend’s birthday dinner.

Sock monkey has photo bombed me again!
Lovely, my dear!

Dark colors such as deep purple or burgundy work so much better for me than black, but these shades seem to be scarce in Hermes scarves. So I was pleased to find this dipdye in aubergine and wine recently. The feel of the dipdye is amazing as well.

Introducing my first Brides de Gala in aubergine/lie de vin surteint dipdye.

Twins, RBH ... I loove it!

Gorgeous, Joannadyne. So dramatic, both scarf and landscape.
Thank you! It was so windy there was a haze over the beach from sand being whipped into a frenzy. I had to leave right after I tried taking a “nice” pic but got this instead.
Such a beautiful comment and scarf. Spectacular with the white T-shirt, a staple in my wardrobe.
Thank you again! I knew you guys would understand.
Hello twin ... nice to see you again!

Très chic, Joanna!
Thank you so much, Croisette! It’s so good to see you too!
I agree. But it seems now as though resellers have doubled the prices on all scarves. I shake my head in disbelief scrolling through scarves on eBay.
Yes, scarfing has become a spectator sport these days.
Joanna, so great to see you!!! I *love* this sieste!
Hi there! So good to see you too!! :hugs:
So jelly!! One day I will find one too! Such a stunning colorway.

Amazing hem that really elevates this colorway.

So gorgeous with that necklace!

Magnificent! So nice to see you here @Joannadyne !
Hi Langsam! Thank you so much! I have to make an effort to wear more of my lovelies - they are just languishing away in my closet... Maybe SOTD is just the nudge I need to start wearing them again.

I Love this design especially in these two colorways. A great way to start the weekend.
I’d love to see Samourais in a 45 format! Little treasures.

Absolutely! The east coast ladies need to organize a meet up when covid is under control!

I Know! I cannot believe I waited so long to experiment with this size silk.
Ooh yes, Samourais in a 45 would be really great! Are you listening, H?
