Absolutely gorgeous, croisette!!
I love this lkb. I am intrigued. Did I miss your foster scarf story? Are you scarf sitting? We spent the day as is our synagogue's custom helping out with meals at a local shelter so the staff could be with their families on their holiday and then we spent the evening celebrating with our own friends and family! I wore Noel au Faubourg, a cherished Christmas "foster scarf" that I am lucky enough to have in my custody. Hoping all of Scarflandia had a joyous day! Thanks to all for your lovely wishes.

Thank you for a wonderful intro, fifi. I am looking forward to this week. I love your sieste - we are sisters - what a great 140!•26 Dec 2021: 2k and Counting:
In this 21st year of the 21st century, which were your new loves and all-time faves out of the 2000+ scarf designs H has issued?
Happy Sunday, dear Scarfies and a wonderful last week of the year to all! Another year has flown by and, here on SOTD, we have counted our days in silk. No matter what life has thrown our way this year, the passion we share for our beloved Hermès carrés has provided a source of comfort and joy.
We have worn our scarves well and our enthusiastic sharing here has been exciting, educational, and inspirational. As one more year draws to a close, we once again take stock of our silken treasures and tally up our acquisitions.
This week, let us share our favorite scarves of 2021: both those treasures that entered our collection this year as well as those older silks in our drawers that continue to take our breath away.
My first scarf purchase of the year was a design that was reissued by Hermès for the Spring/Summer 2021 collection:Ardmore Artist’s La Marche du Zambeze. Though I got the yellow CW, I revisited my white CW from the original issue as a result and discovered that it hasn’t lost its charm for me.

Though this was not as prolific a shawl year for me as 2020, I did acquire a few stunners. My first shawl this year was the black CW of the glorious Tous les Bateaux du Monde. Almost immediately after I scored the shawl I found the blue CW of the 90. My other two 90s of this design are perennial favorites and these two further proved just how much I adore this Aline Honoré design.

Aline Honoré is my favorite Hermès designer and not only was I lucky to add those Bateaux to my collection but was also thrilled to have these two wonderful CWs of Le Voyage du Pytheas come my way.

Yet another Aline Honoré favorite of mine is Sieste au Paradis. After owning three CWs of the 90 and three of the giant silk formats, I happened upon this CW of the giant silk edition at a store this summer and so glad I got it. I do not tire of this beauty which is especially dramatic in this format

This was also a productive year for mousselines. After loving Tapis Persans so much in the giant silk format, I finally found the design as a moussie and it has become a favorite.
View attachment 5281421
But I must say that 2021 was The Year of New Formats for me as I acquired my first pareo, muffler, plisees and moussie stoles this year. All new to me and very exciting additions. The first of the two plisees I got this year is Early America in this sunny CW. I must admit that I need more time to experiment with this format, but do see the possibilities. It’s not a wonder that I ventured out with this design as it is one of my all-time favorites and one that I own as a 90 in several CWs. Later in the week I will share my other new format newbies.

This is one of my favorite weeks on SOTD as it is a time to do our yearly audits, to display our new treasures and perhaps revisit those old standards that have stood the test of time. I am looking forward to all the fabulous scarves that we will share as we say farewell to 2021 in our own special silken way.
This is fabulous, lkb!!! What a good strategy for collecting. Will you be continuing in this vein this year? I looked at themes last year and acquired two that filled holes and focused on grails. (Unfortunately I was busy and missed the two weeks I had bought for!Thank you for another marvelous introduction! You have certainly been a tireless Scarf Mistress at the year's end! I love the final paragraph of your intro as I very much feel the need to evaluate and take a moment after what has been an exciting (and admittedly excessively enthusiastic) year of scarf acquisition. TPF has helped me shape my collection in truly magical ways and I am very grateful. I decided to collect by artist, and this year I concentrated on Annie Faivre, Aline Honore and Alice Shirley. For Annie Faivre I added Domes Celeste, Maitres de la Foret, Jardin a Sintra as well as two Colorway add/replace for Libres Commes l'Air and Promenade du Platon. My absolute favorite of all is this one-- a beautiful blue and grey Cavaliers du Caucasse. While there is always more to love and want, I feel I now have her designs that speak to me...

Wonderful, snausages! We are twins on animapolis and the red/blue sweet dreams. You are making me wish we were twins on the blue sweet dreams as well!Thank you @Living.la.vida.fifi for a great intro! This year has been dangerous to my wallet having discovered this group - so many designs and artists and colors and knots to explore. Alas unless something is in the boutique the older designs must be purchased to try on, and some have been hits while many others have been misses. I’m honing in on the colors that work best for me.
I was on Ban Island for about 3 years prior to joining this group and was about to divest myself of my entire collection. Then I discovered Jan Bajtlik. Here are a few that have made permanent homes in my scarf drawer

It hasn’t been chilly enough to don my two Cosmographia CSGMs. Perhaps in 2022!
Tomorrow I shall post my Alice Shirleys!
Fifi, I thought it was maharani at first glance as well!I always love to see this delightful design! This is such a wonderful wintery CW and I love it paired with your Christmas pin!
For a moment I thought it was the blue CW of Jardin de la Maharani… It is so fabulous! You must reach for it often because it ties beautifully and is so easy to wear! Love this knot
You did exceptionally well with your Bajtliks! These are all exceptional, but my fav must be the second, bright Animapolis. The Epopees are amazing as well and a reminder that I must find one of the 70s to add to my collection. Such a great design! And, we must see those CSGMs!
Oh so special, especially for you! One that is not too easy to find… Love it with the green sweater and the pearl drop is exquisite
Agrume - I am so glad you found this one. Perfect for you!SOYD was Zabavushka in its red/pink cw, one of my favourite acquisitions of 2021. I bought quite a lot of scarves and sold some, too, sometimes following @LKBNOLA's CCP. Wish you some quiet days between the old and the new year!

Thanks so much for the mod shots… Yes, mine is the black, but I must add another to my collection… My problem is WHICH because, TBH, they are all wonderful. If I had to choose one from these, I guess I would go with the plum. They all look amazing on you
I adore this design and it looks amazing in red. So this year we both added monochromatic CWs of this design to our collections! Red and purple are so dramatic paired like this

A great cw, Labelo, and what a nice pullover!
Congratulations, the colours suit you beautifully. One of the grails I tracked down this year after sitting on the fence way too long. A major undisclosed flaw and a no return policy, but at least I didn't break the bank for it and samourais is so busy, it is easily disguised. I love it nonetheless.View attachment 5281920
Thanks, hotgalaxy! I love your avatar! I like the square Clair de Lune. Even more so after the post from @Redbirdhermes during her ghost riders week.Congratulations, the colours suit you beautifully.
I love this, croisette. And the jacquard is so wonderful!
Croisette, that holiday look is to die for. I love that sweater and scarf together. So elevated, and the Christmas tree brooch is the perfect accent.

I brought only one scarf on our holiday trip, and it's been too warm to wear it most days, but here's Patchwork Horse!
Thank you @Agrume-- and it is quite a reciprocal gesture as our interfaith community works together to ensure everyone can celebrate on their days!2 great looks (and love your CdC), LKBNOLA, and what a beautiful gesture!

So so beautiful in white @Croisette7! I just acquired one with a red border from a charity that supports rescue dogs! So I am happy to be sisters and do a good deed also!
Thank you so much @Awillow! Yes, I loved the wheels being asymmetrical! A happy serendipity of folding...Gorgeous, lkb!
Lkb - both these ties are perfect for this carre! Lovely.
Why thank you, Master Po!You have also acquired most excellent knotting skills, grasshopper!
Or, as Oscar Wilde said, "I can resist anything except temptation." Certainly applies to H!!!Absolutely @momasaurus. Also, "Everything in moderation, including moderation."
I love this lkb. I am intrigued. Did I miss your foster scarf story? Are you scarf sitting?
Yes, thank you @Awillow. It is a good collecting rubric that I depart from as needed but it helps! This year I am focusing on completing Pierre Marie and adding some Virginie Jamin colors and designs to the three I own. Rybalchenko is also on the list plus two Holy Grails and three Petite Grails. Plus the new seasons and lucky finds and the ones I fall in love with from this thread etc etc...You see the futility of plans already...This is fabulous, lkb!!! What a good strategy for collecting. Will you be continuing in this vein this year? I looked at themes last year and acquired two that filled holes and focused on grails. (Unfortunately I was busy and missed the two weeks I had bought for!)
This is beautiful on you @Awillow! No flaw at all is noticeable and in any case, totally worth it!One of the grails I tracked down this year after sitting on the fence way too long. A major undisclosed flaw and a no return policy, but at least I didn't break the bank for it and samourais is so busy, it is easily disguised. I love it nonetheless.View attachment 5281920
Wow. I am your twin but haven't worked up to wearing it yet (Space Derby is a favorite from 2021. One of those designs I had to have the moment I saw it. I love this colorway with the dark blue skies and the field of white stars. And, the ombre effect where the colors fade into each other is incredible.
